stumbled upon this book by chance and was positively surprised by it. books about cats can never be bad and this follows the rule. i really liked the variety of the cats, their owners and the stories that were mentioned, plus i learned a lot of random trivia (fun and heartwarming) i'm going to share.
overall really fun, even if the connections to a specific day were sometimes a little convoluted in the narrative.

Battersea is a brilliant organisation, so I am happy to support it with the purchase of this book. I enjoyed reading the small entries of various cat portrayals. They are varied—some historical, some contemporary, some adventures, some trivia. The only major weakness in the collection is link to a calendar date. Many entries really, really stretched to make a connection between a description and ‘on this day’. A connection that tenuous draws attention to itself and is just not necessary to make. Otherwise, a fun and interesting book.
