I received an ARC of this book and chose to leave a review. Story pacing was good, kept me turning pages and engaged, plot and storyline were good for the most part although some of characters reactions and decisions did not make sense ( you don’t trust a person with your grown brother who just beat you but you send your brother to a motel and take that person you didn’t trust to your house and very pregnant wife 😳) Also the very choppy, broken sentence structure is very ironic considering main character getting so irritated over a guy not using and apostrophe in a text. But.. aside from a couple of minor issues that didn’t stop me finishing (or slowing down for very long) a good read that I’m definitely interested in following up on.

This is the 1st story by this author that I have read and it won't be the last. In this book Abbie belongs to an organization which attempts to save peoples' lives. The only difference here is that Abbie has only 48 hours to accomplish it and it all comes based on a nightmare. Once she awakens, she gets in her car not knowing where she will end up, but gets the proper place.
She finds the person that she is supposed to protect fighting his brother. Abbie breaks it up and winds up letting the brother sleep in her hotel room. The next day when she gets to the hotel room, she finds him dead. Owen, the person she is to save, believes that she was involved in the murder and it takes a while to convince him that she had nothing to do with it. As the story continues there are more individuals that play a role in her quest. When the time gets close it takes all her skill to save him. Later she runs in a situation where she needs to save him again.
To discover how the other people come into play, why Layton was killed and how it all ends, then you must read this book.

Abbie has an intense life. Solitary and brutal. Her nightmares lead her to saving and taking lives.
This story brings much of her past back and ultimately helps her heal a bit and adjust how she thinks of herself.
The people she meets after her latest nightmare all seem to be hiding something or struggling. There's one man who plays a part in all their lives. Abbie will need to take care of a lot to bring some peace to a few.
Awesome characters and drama. Suspense and murder keeps things busy! Great weekend read.

Excellent Book
This is going to be a wonderful series. There are so many questions unanswered. What experiments were done on Abby and why. Why she have those nightmares and why does the organization insist that she save the ones she dreams about. Who is this organization and how did they get ahold of Abby.

I liked this book. The plot is incredibly complex with more unexpected twists and turns than a reader has a right to expect! Abbie is quite an interesting character. Ben and his mysterious organization seem horrible and soulless. Overall, The Stranger is dark and sad with rare, welcome beams of light shining through.

Great all the way through
A book with more twists than a country road. So entertaining I am sad that I have finished it, I couldn't even imagine how much was contained in it and the end!!!. No spoilers, read it and you will not be disappointed, trust me.

Great fast paced read

Abbie King has nightmares, and these nightmares are determining her short term future. Led by her dreams, Abbie ends up in a small town trying to save the lives of total strangers but not all is as it seems and she ends up tangled in murder and mystery.
As I prefer Neagley to Reacher, it was nice to have a competent kick-ass heroine. Abbie is not directionless, and she has a mysterious company behind her for financial support but she still has to sort out problems on her own.
Abbie is a complex character with a sad back-story and while the book is complete in itself there is enough mystery to make me want to read more. What is causing her nightmares?
