The ruby Heart is split, and so am I.

Cav, Kaspian, Axe, and Wilder: my lovers, my protectors, my doom. Each touch binds me tighter to their cause, even as I uncover the brutal truth of the Cimmerian Court.

We're racing to find both halves of a jewel never meant to be whole. But with each clue deciphered, each forbidden location unearthed, I realize the true cost of our quest.

The Sovereigns' hunger for the Heart grows with each passing day. Their endgame? A ritual that will consume everything--including the men I've grown to love.

As I delve deeper into my family's dark history and unravel the web of lies surrounding the Heart, I'm hurtling towards a choice that terrifies me.

In order to save my men, I might have to offer the Sovereigns exactly what they've sought all along.

Shattered Jewel is the delicious conclusion to the Cimmerian Court duet, a spicy, boys obsessed, dark romance by bestselling author Ketley Allison.

"Trust no one. Find the Heart. Expose the truth. Don't fall in love."

Elara is still looking for answers.
Still looking for the other half of the ruby heart.
Who killed her brother? Why did they do it?
What do the Sovereigns want with her?
Can she trust Kaspian, Cav, Axe, and Wilder?
Will they betray her?
And why can she not seem to get rid of her feelings for them?
She's on a mission to find out… No matter what.

"Danger seems to find me regardless."

I received an advanced reader's copy in exchange for an honest review 🖤

"I will scorch this earth before I let anyone take her from me."

This was the conclusion to the "Cimmerian Court" duet. It was intense, mysterious, and suspenseful.
We have Elara trying to figure out the answers to all her questions and all the questions that are still adding up. And she has to deal with Kaspian, Cav, Axe, and Wilder and their secrets too. This whole journey was a whirlwind that I had so much fun reading 🖤🖤

"If they wanted to get at Elara, they shouldn't have surrounded her with us."

Elara has to still figure out who killed her brother, the mysterious dark history of her family, and the other half of the ruby heart. So many questions and barely any answers. All with the four men she can't afford to fall for. Kaspian, Cav, Axe, and Wilder. Can she even afford to trust them? I loved Elara in this second part of the duet. She continues to have a backbone (which we love) and she doesn't let the guys get away with their shit that easily. All the guys are OBSESSED and we love to see it. They don't want to accept it but they know it and I'm like "walk them like a dog sis walk them like a dog."

"I don't want to change them and turn them into moral men. I want these caged animals to fight by my side, fangs and scars and all."

The playlist is giving dark college secret society romance (too specific? I don't think so 😇😇). And of course I added it to the author's amazing playlist so these are the songs I added:

Let's start with the positives. Allison knows how to spin a yarn that keeps you turning pages. I found myself staying up way too late, telling myself "just one more chapter" more times than I care to admit. The secret society angle is always a hook for me, and Allison does a decent job of creating that air of mystery and intrigue.

Elara, our main girl, had her moments. I liked seeing her grow a backbone as the story progressed, even if some of her choices had me rolling my eyes. And the guys? Well, they're definitely easy on the imagination, if you know what I mean. Each has their own flavor of broody-meets-sexy that's hard to resist.

The plot twists kept things interesting, though I'll be honest, some felt a bit out of left field. It's like Allison was so determined to keep us guessing that she forgot to leave us breadcrumbs sometimes.

Now, it wasn't all smooth sailing. The pacing was a bit all over the place. One minute I'm on the edge of my seat, the next I'm wading through conversations that seem to go in circles. And while I appreciate a good slow-burn romance, there were moments where I wanted to yell "Just kiss already!"

Bottom line? "Shattered Jewel" is a fun ride, but it's not going to rock your world. It's the literary equivalent of a popcorn movie - enjoyable while it lasts, but not something that'll stick with you for days after. If you're in the mood for some secret society drama with a side of swoon-worthy guys, give it a shot.

Miss @ketleyallison woke up one day and decided to write the absolute best why choose duet to ever exist
I can’t even express how excited i was to get back into this universe and see what my kids were up to
The story has such a unique to captivate you, from the secret society, to the history of 🧙🏻‍♀️, to elara’s family, the setting, everything was so well done and well written, think I finished the book in a matter of hours
I absolutely loved seeing Elara grow from the first book and turn into this amazing person ready to face her battles, she was a baddie prepared to kick some balls for her boys and to honour her brother.
Now, the boys on the other hand THEY ARE SO PERFECT AND CRAZY I LOVED THEM
I wish i could tell you i had a favourite but lucky for me i loved all 4 of them and they tied the story perfectly, i wouldn’t change a thing.

This is the second part the duet and it comes out on july 19th, but don’t worry the first book wicked court is available to read right now

Thank you to miss @ketleyallison and @valentine_pr_ for the arc i had an absolute blast 🫶🏻🫶🏻 can’t wait for your next adventure

arc review —

this book is the 2nd and final book that ends this series and i have to say i really enjoyed it.

this series is my first why choose romance so tbh i wasn’t sure what to expect from it but it was entertaining, spicy and the plot as a whole keeps you gripped throughout,

each of the men are so different but i loved them equally. i loved elara’s character a lot in this series. she as strong and determined! her friend sasha was an amazing addition to the book too and loved that she played a bigger roll in this book!

the plot twists were great and definitely some that i didn’t see coming so i never wanted this book to end

read this book if you love:
♥️ why choose romance
♥️ secret society
♥️ small town legends/witches

I was provided an ARC of this title for free and am leaving this review voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Please do be advised of content warnings and keep yourself aware of and safe from any triggers you may have.

Elara Wraithwood & her men.
Cavanaugh, Kaspian, Wilder, Axe.

Secrets. Shadows. Lies. Manipulation.

Ketley Allison delivers a thrilling and spicy read with Shattered Jewel, picking up right where we left off with the first part of this duet.

Elara & her men are deep in the Cimmerian Court and still seeking the truth of the Ruby heart and the secrets that Maverick may have uncovered & ultimately died to protect. Only the web is more tangled than any of them have begun to imagine, and they find they might be in over their heads.

When loyalties and newly forged bonds are tested, can they band together to defeat a long corrupt system from the inside out or will old habits, and in turn one-or more-of their own, die hard?

The last 30 percent of this book gave me heart palpitations and kept me right at the edge of my seat.

Thank you to Ketley Allison and Valentine PR for the opportunity to read this as an ARC.

The first book left me wanting more, and this book - Shattered Jewel did not disappoint! All the waiting was worth it!

I loved the story unfolding before me, loved the secret society trope, the mystery about Elara's brother that she was trying to figure out and all the enigma surrounding it. But this was not the only thing that kept my interest.

Elara's character is so much more in this book. She knows how to fight her battles and is not afraid to do it. Her transformation in this beautiful, strong woman is making me feel goosebumps just thinking about it.

The boys are crazy as ever and I loved all four of them, even though I might have a favourite, but shhh... Don't tell the other three.

I'm fascinated by Ketley Allison's writing style and ability to pull you into the story and make you forget everything else!

That book was a great end to the duet.

"We merely guessed at your value before, Elara. But now that it's known ... we're hungrier than ever."

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Ketley Allison is the actual queen of the secret society trope. I will eat it up every. single. time. She has a talent for writing complex puzzles, that you will do your best to put together. Once you do, it's so very satisfactory, and I can only compare it to how you feel when you've completed an escape room (if you ever have).

Shattered Jewel is part two in the Cimmerian Court Duet, and it picks up where Wicked Court left off. I was on pins and needles throughout the entire book, and could not put it down. I read it nonstop, captivated by the crumbs of answers we were given as Elara and her boys tries to figure out what had happened, to try and save themselves and each other.

Elara is an incredible FMC, and I enjoyed seeing her strength grow as she got closer to Cav, Wilder, Axe, and Kaspian. You could easily tell obsessed the MMC:s were with Elara, and their different personalities and trauma were adding so much to the story.

As always, Allison ties it up so amazingly in the end, and it leaves you wondering - "How did she come up with that?!". I'm always excited when Allison releases a new book, as I know that it will be a treat. This book was no exception, and I urge you to read this duet when you get the chance!

Thank you so much Ketley Allison & Valentine PR for receiving an ARC for this book.

You should add this to your TBR if you love these tropes:

- Why Choose
- Heroine in danger
- Boy(s) obsessed
- Band of Brothers
- Ivy League University

I feel like many authors have that one thing that sets them apart from others and writing a Secret Society romance is that thing for Ketley Allison!!!

Shattered Jewel is book two in a duet and the conclusion to this story. All your questions will be answered at the end of this book. But let me tell you it’s not an easy end of the road for Elara and her guys.

Elara starts this book with so many questions and she’s ready to take them all on. She really came into herself in this book. Her tough side definitely comes out to play and with the help of her friend Sasha she’s ready to fight. The guys are as tight as they were in the first book. They have their reasons for why they are doing things their way. But their unit is just as strong…:well sort of!

I absolutely loved this duet. I wasn’t ready to see this story end but the way it does is so worth it. Now here’s me keeping my fingers crossed for a certain side character to get her own book….cough Sasha cough!

“God, I want to touch her. Break her. Own her, all in one breath.”

I really was captivated by this story in the first book, I thought this was going to be longer then a duet and ft some other characters.

This book has a lot of build up, and is kinda slow going with lots of twists and turns. These men are PITCH BLACK. And there is lots of magic/cult vibes. I was really excited but I found somewhere in the middle it felt like it was being drug out a little. The FMC really finds her voice in this book and I loved that.

‼️ triggers going hard in this one so make sure you check those ‼️

This is the second of the duology, with Elara continuing in her quest to find the second half of the Ruby heart, part of her legacy, and attempt to discover what happened to her brother. Along for the ride (literally) are her four captors/protectors Kaspian, Axe, Wilder and Cav. Each get a POV in the book which I think tends to make things more complex than they need to be.

The essence to this is they are all bad boys, brought together by family legacies and traumas in the quest for the Ruby heart. They are bound to one another and then to Elara, each falling for her and all wanting to own her. It’s quite the predicament - the search for the Ruby heart plodding along with a plot loosely held together by a scene of occasional debauchery.

It was a little all over the place for mind, and Elara’s friend Sasha stole the show IMO. Such a good character. Elara not so much.

Thanks to Valentine PR for this book.

My Rating: 2.5 ⭐️⭐️ (rounded up)
Duet Rating: 3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

We Have:
✅ RH (Reverse Harem)
✅ Secret Society / Dark Academia
✅ Obsession
✅ Found Family Feels
✅ Cultish / Occult Vibes
✅ “Touch Her and Die” Energy
✅ Bestie Who Deserved Her Own MF book

This duet should’ve been everything. The ingredients were there:
• Obsessive men
• Secret society intrigue
• A traumatized but resilient FMC
• Bestie banter
• Delicious plentiful Spice

And yet… something about it just didn’t come together. But it’s like the author had the perfect recipe and got a little heavy-handed with the mystery seasoning while forgetting to stir the plot. It was too mysterious for too long - I needed more breadcrumbs. The reveals were so delayed that by the time they came, I wasn’t as emotionally invested in the “why” anymore.

Let’s talk about the men:
Wilder —sweet, obsessive, with “I’ll burn down the world for you” energy.
Kas —the charming prick you want to punch and make out with at the same time. Enemy vibes so sharp they cut, but baby boy cannot stay away.
Cav —controlling, intense, and bossy in a way that screams “you’re mine” with every breath.
Axe —brooding, distant, soft in the shadows, like he didn’t believe he deserved love. Once she had him? He melted. And we loved him for it. (We need a trope name for that.)

And the spice?
Let’s just say the scenes were yummyyyyyy. Not overly done but plentiful 😏😏There’s even a couple moments where bestie walks in on the whole RH squad doing their… reverse hareming… and instead of screaming, she hits ‘em with a one liner and it was just hilarious AF. GIVE. HER. A. BOOK.

But while I was into the smut and the vibes, the mystery was too mysterious. It took forever to get answers, and I needed a few more breadcrumbs on the way to stay invested in the stakes. There’s also some serious “wait what?” moments—like characters who should 100% be passed out from injuries (think carved like a thanksgiving turkey) but are like, “nah, I’m fine, let’s vibe.” Bruh! If you do sit yo ass down somewhere!!

This isn’t PNR—it’s occult, it’s vibes, it’s mind games, and it’s heavy on the mental health spirals.

Not a bad book at all… just felt like it missed something. Like the author had a vision but I didn’t get the full picture. That said—it’s smutty, chaotic, intense, and entertaining enough that I didn’t stop. So there’s that.

⚠️This is a dark romance with tons of dark elements, please check content warnings. ⚠️
This is book 2 of the Cimmerian Court in Titan Falls. This series follows Elara, the university sweetheart, and the 4 untouchables, band of brothers, Cav, Axe, Wilder & Kaspian. The MMCs are part of a Secret Society and have been given a job to find “the Heart,” and are given a name that will lead them to it, Elara Wraithwood. The boys stalk, bully and force Elara to give up the family heirloom & any information she has. Elara should be terrified and not want these boys, but instead uncovers a darker side to herself. They all have a connection and chemistry they can’t fight, and get caught up in a centuries old mystery that might just unravel everything. Book one ends on a huge cliffhanger, and I couldn’t wait for this book. The plot really carried this story for me! The cult dynamics of the Cimmerian Court & all the entanglement of Elara’s family kept me turning the pages. Unfortunately, the romance ran flat for me. I didn’t really like the guys in this book. I thought we would be done with the enemies to lovers/bully dynamic in this book, but it was very much still in play. I feel like the romance just wasn’t as flushed out as I would have liked. Elara’s character was also very submissive & not the “strong” FMC when it came to the guys. She took a lot from them, which just didn’t fit the strong FMC she needed to be in this book & to be able to handle these strong male leads. There wasn’t enough groveling from one of the MCs after he does something so morally wrong to Elara. I was just a little disappointed in the relationship dynamic of this book, but was really invested in the cult/mystery/suspense plot. The ending was good, plot & relationship wise; I just wish the relationship developed a little more before the end of the book.

Thank you Ketley Allison & Valentine PR for the ARC!

My god this story was absolutely incredible. This is without a doubt one of the best done secret society books I have ever read and if this is a trope you love you absolutely have to add this duet to your TBR.

This book picks up right where book one left off and the actions starts right away and doesn’t stop until the book ends. I absolutely loved how fast paced the story was and how many twists and turns there were.

I had come to really love the characters in book one and here in book two, that love just kept growing. Their growth as individuals and as a group were so well done. I loved watching their development.

The stand out character of this book is without a doubt Sasha. If she doesn’t get her own story, I’m absolutely rioting.

The spice was amazing, a great blend of group scenes and 1-1. Despite the sickness, the mystery of the story really stays central and the spice of as just a nice little addition.

For all of these reasons this book was a 5/5 for me.

However, I struggled with two things that brought it down a bit. Firstly, I really needed a quick reminder on what had happened in book one (I should have reread it) , multiple times in this story I was so lost because I didn’t remember all the little details from book one.
Secondly, this didn’t feel like a conclusion to me, it felt like the door was left right open for a third book so I was super disappointed to see this was listed as the conclusion. No epilogue or time jumps into their future felt a little incomplete given all the decisions that were made in the final chapter. Because of that, I brought my rating down to a 4.5/5
The story, characters and spice were PHENOMENAL! It just needed more closure to feel like a true conclusion to a duet.

🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️

Book 1 was my first by Ketley and I was hooked. This is the second part of the Cimmerian Court Duet and my goodness me was it fantastic.
I love the mystery and suspense of it all. Trying to figure things out before we get answers is my favourite and I loved how she twisted things so it will lead us a different way..
Elara is a very strong character and I really enjoyed watching her get more confident and stronger.
Her men were equally lovable with their tortured backgrounds and morally grey lives. One thing was they were obsessed with her and were not letting her leave them. It's very hard to choose one so like Elara I loved all of them, Caspain, Cav, AXE and Wilder.
This one continued With Elara trying to hind answers to her ever growing list of questions and the other half of the red ruby heart!!
All the while trying not to lose her heart to the 4 lovers.
Secret society, high action, drama, twists, suspense, intense, band of brothers, why choose and super hot spice.
I will definitely be reading more from Ketley.

"Let go, butterfly. We want to hear you."

"I will scorch this earth before I let anyone take her from me."

"I don't want to change them and turn them into moral men. I want these caged animals to fight by my side, fangs and scars and all."

Shattered Jewel by Ketley Allison is book 2 in the Cimmerian Court Due. If you like books with heroine in danger, why choose, polyamorous romance, alpha hero, secret society, band of brothers, Ivy League, boy obsessed, and suspenseful books then you will love this book.

This book picks up where the cliffhanger book 1 Wicked Court left off. Cav, Axe, Wilder, and Kaspian are still trying to find the Ruby heart that Elara is desperately trying to keep safe. Elara learns more about her brother and what happened to him. While learning about her past and Sara, she learns about the horrors the guys went through. The Sovereign believed that violence, cruelty, and holding family members as hostages were the way to lead or keep people under their control.

Throughout all of this the guys protected and fell in love with Elara. Elara is a strong willed FMC who was not going down without a fight. I still think Axe is my favorite although by the end Wilder was not too far behind. Learning where each of their scars came from was tough and what Axe endured and kept secret 😭. There were so many twists and turns, betrayals, shock until the very end. I’m bummed this duet is over already. I enjoyed this book, but it’s not a standalone so you must read Wicked Court before reading Shattered Jewell. Thank you to Valentine PR and Ketley Allison for letting me read a copy of this book in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions.

"The Ruby Heart is split, and so am I… but I’m not going down without a fight."

Shattered Jewel took everything I loved about Wicked Court and cranked up the stakes!

This book had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Elara’s journey to find the other half of the Ruby Heart while trying to survive the dangerous world of the Cimmerian Court? Absolutely wild.

The layers of secrets, the family history, the betrayals—it’s all here, and it’s intense. 😵‍💫

The guys—Cav, Kaspian, Axe, and Wilder—are more obsessed with Elara than ever, and I am living for it. Their dark, brooding energy is off the charts, and the way they protect (and sometimes possess) her just adds to the delicious tension.🖤

As Cav says, "I will scorch this earth before I let anyone take her from me." Um, yes please! 🔥

The pacing is fast, the twists are jaw-dropping, and Elara’s character growth is everything. She’s a force to be reckoned with, and I love how she refuses to be just a pawn in their game. She's strong, fiery, and determined to uncover the truth, no matter what.

The conclusion of this duet wraps up the secrets of the Ruby Heart in a way that left me both satisfied and craving more from Ketley Allison.

Honestly, if you're a fan of secret societies, dark magic, and morally black love interests who would burn the world down for their girl—Shattered Jewel will be your next obsession. 🌙✨

I still couldn't really immerse myself in this story. I was hoping things got better from the first one, but they didn't. I couldn't feel any sort of connection or affection from any of them. Sure, they said they wanted her, but I souldn't really figure out Why, and it wasn't really explained.

Why does she want anything to do with Kaspian? He's a raging asshole. I don't feel anything between them, at all, either. He's cruel, flat out tells her that she is nothing, treats her like trash, and despite telling him No, she still just lays down and puts out for him. Then, he uses his shoe on her? Seriously... Call him out on it and have some self respect. He never even apologizes later or anything. Everything is magically forgiven by him fingering her later.

I just couldn't get into the story. You can't tell me a father who cared enough to send his daughter away and tried to protect his son would then let his son go into foster care, and then later end up getting mutilated over and over when he could have stopped it.

So many things just didn't add up to make sense. The only reason I knew they even half-way liked her was when they went to their POV. They never actually treated her or behaved like they even somewhat cared (especially Kaspian).

I would not recommend these to others, and I will not read them again. I am giving 2.5 stars again, this time rounding down to 2.

Shattered Jewel picks up where Wicked Court left off, and I could not put this down! I’m glad I wasn’t left on the cliffhanger of Wicked Court (I waited until this one came out to read the duet), because I am captivated by the way Ketley Allison weaves her tales. Ketley Allison does a fantastic job of creating an intricate plot surrounding a secret society that is filled with mystery, intrigue, action, complex characters with depth and growth, and a nice sprinkling of spicy times.

Elara and her men desperately try to save themselves and each other, and we are along for the ride to find out why Maverick died and the enigma surrounding the Heart…and boy, do we figure out why the Cimmerian Court wanted that Heart. How does Ketley Allison come up with this stuff?! I was on the edge of my seat pretty much the entire time! Beyond just wanting to find out about the Heart, we get to see immense character growth for Elara as she comes into her own, and is ready to fight for the men she loves. We also get to see depth to how connected these four men are to each other, and Elara.

Second installment of the Cimmerian Court. Must read in order.

I’ve read horrific secret society books that typically gets gruesome, this one may top that list quickly. The brutality of these scenes gets quite intense. I almost shed a tear for the torture that was inflicted physically and emotionally.

The 🌶️ scenes gets quite creative and the amount of love that each one shares with Elara is admirable. The scene where they sneak into the club >>> a favorite of mine from this book.

Read this book if you like…
Secret society and dark romance. Reverse harem or why choose. A bad ass female heroine and four men who are possessive.

Like the first one, this had a lot of story to it. Much of the politics of the society.
I do think this could have ended at 85%, it got a little monotonous- or I just could be such a smut lover that I didn't care for too much of the extra bits ;)

It definitely was a slow burn throughout the two books- though I would give this smut rating a 4/5 still; I really loved the initiate cloaked public sex scene. And it was still hot and more than just plain sex.

I really hate to say this because I usually love all the men and can't ever choose a least favorite- but I can saw that Axe is so boring lol I think he just doesn't have much character, despite his past.

I will say that once her mom got situated, I wish there was some interaction with her at the end. With how heavy Elara's past is and her relationship with her mother being so "broken", I was hoping for something with her. Instead it was a brief mention in the epilogue.

I also wish they gave Sasha a happy ending or at least a lover.. maybe she will be in her own book or is and I don't know it yet.

Scorching hot, dark, and riddled with twists, betrayal, and depravity, it’s a perfect ending for the Cimmerian Court duet, giving you the answers you need, all the delicious tension you can handle, and cementing the fact that whether anyone planned it or not Elara has Kaspian, Axe, Cav, and Wilder wrapped like a vice around her dainty little finger. It’s non-stop, all fire, all passion, and so crazy good.

What a read! It’s got a great twisty devious plot that has so many layers as the truth about the Cimmerian Court and the Sovereigns comes out and it’s definitely got that crazy hot why choose thing going on. Most of all though, when all the truth is out, all the dust has settled, and the chaos is over, it’s about four guys who are beyond morally grey, destroyed by the court, and so scarred, that find the one thing they’ve always needed in Elara, acceptance. For who they are, what they’ve done, and what they’ll probably still do and it’s pretty spectacular.

Seppy's 5-Star Review:

I loved the first book and this is the conclusion to this story that didn't disappoint. There were so many secrets along with twists and turns. Cav, Kaspian, Axe, and Wilder all are obsessed with Elara. But can she completely trust them? Do they completely trust her?

Elara has so many questions and she is determined to solve the mystery about her brother and find out everything he was looking into that led to his death. Elara grows more and more confident and gets a backbone to fight to get the answers she needs. She also has major support from her friend Sasha. The guys want to keep her safe but they don't have the same goal as Elara. Each of the guys has a different personality and develops a different relationship with Elara. I loved the whole journey to the great end of this duet. I love Ketley Allison's writing and loved this book. Can't wait to see what this author will be writing next.

Shattered Jewel ( Cim-merian Court Duet Book 2 ) settle in grab on tight and prepare yourself for one wild ride because the continuation to Elara and her guys journey is finally here and omg what a journey it was . Questions are finally answered, new ones arise . Elara is desperately searching for answers and the truth behind her brother’s tragic death . Secrets and truths come to light that just might end up turning everything on its axis . And what does the future hold for Elara , Cav , Kaspian , Wilder and Axe ? Is there a happy ending at the end of the tunnel ? Add into that the suspense , the mystery, the in intrigue , the drama , the angst , the off the charts chemistry, the twists and turns, the secret society the why choose and RH Trope which happens to be 3 of my absolute favorite tropes and well it really doesn’t get much better then this . I really do feel like I was just taken on the ride of my life and completely blown away in all the. Best ways .

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This is the conclusion to the Cimmerian Court Duet. This book picks up where Wicked Court left off. Elara is still searching for some answers. She has to find the other half of the ruby heart and why her brother was killed and who did it. There are so many more questions that she needs answered. But most of all can she trust Kaspian, Cav, Axe and WIlder? Do they have good intentions? Are they about to betray her? I can't really talk about this story. I will give something away. But I promise you get all the answers that you needed from the first book. You get to do it right along with Elara. There is so much suspense in this book that it will have you one edge more often than not. This was a really good read that I love every second of.

When uncovering more about Maverick’s past and actions, the group still has secrets amongst each other that keep coming up, especially from Axe (or Elara’s mom’s house). What a cool idea to have a secret code in wallpaper; it is just one of the ways that show how much Maverick was looking out for his sister. He gave everything to keep the complete jewel out of the wrong hands because what will happen if the Cimmerian Court puts it together? Could there be even more to Elara’s bloodline than she originally thought? The history of Titan Falls and its founding families is so unique and interconnected, and more of their secrets were revealed in this duet through their descendants. I hope we get to see Sasha’s story next to stay in this world of secret societies and the Anderton family.

This is the second book of the duet and it was brilliant! It picks up where the first left off and you are transported back without a single doubt of what has happened between the books (NOTHING). I have never experienced a book that does that transition so well!

The book takes you on a journey where not only do you now understand each character but truly fall in love with them. You understand their pain, their choices and more than anything, you want better for them. By the end of the book you understand why it’s a why choose, you are there for each of them individually and you just can’t put it down. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and this duet! I will be reading a lot more from this author in the future!

That was a never ending roller coaster. My brain is fried from the ups and downs all going on. Right when you think it’s over, OH NO just keep reading. It just keeps going and going. Sometimes I found myself annoyed like come one with the twisting plots. Get to the point! I am so happy this book has more spice in it. When the 4 of them get Elara..HOT DAMN! I couldn’t get enough of them. She’s a beast. Really enjoyed the ending and how everything turned out in the end. I couldn’t put down the book.

What I hated was the first half of the book I couldn’t figure out if the guys hated her or loved her. That drove me crazy! Granted I can get if they were worried about dragging her into the mess but still. Drove me nuts!

And we have arrived at the final volume of this duet. We pick up exactly where we left off Elara, Kaspian, Cav, Ax and Wilder... but, above all, we still have a lot of mysteries to solve!

Elara makes this her mission: she absolutely must discover what her true roots are and what really happened to her family. But she must not forget that her life is also at risk, that dark forces greater than her want to achieve something.

In the previous volume you learned to look beneath the facade behind which those four boys are hiding. They are also manipulated by this group that operates in the shadows and have been raised and educated to be their arms, their weapons and their eyes. Only Elara is capable of seeing their soul and who they really are. But will this be enough to break down their shields? Will she be able to trust them enough to ask for their help in unraveling the mess?

In a mix of mysteries, intrigues and hidden truths, lurking dangers and backstabs, we also have the opportunity to delve into a good dose of suspense and romance (seasoned with spice).
In summary? Ketley never misses a beat and I've now realized that I would read every book by him with my eyes closed!

Thank you Valentine PR for an ARC!

Ouf, I really enjoyed this conclusion to Elara’s story with these 4 deliciously sinful men 🤤 I will say though I highly recommend reading this duet back to back as this one immediately picks up after Wicked Court and I actually had to go back and read the last 4 chapters to get my bearings again 😅

But regardless, the suspense storyline with the Cimmerian Court & The Sovereigns was well done and I had a really fun time reading it! I also loved the feature of Clover and her Vultures in this one 🥹

And yes the spice was SPICING again 🥵 All these men bring something different , but I think my favourite is Axe, like come on 😫❤️

This is the second part and the conclusion of this amazing duet.
Elara and her four morally grey untouchable, Cav, Kaspien, Axe, and Wilder’s journey, which is a dark, why choose, secret society, college romance, ends with the perfect conclusion.
This is a well written story which is action packed, with family, friendships, emotions, suspense, intrigue, secret society, enemies / lovers, why choose, close proximity, drama, secrets, lies, obsession, and love, which leads to an entertaining, twisted, unpredictable, haunting, and steamy, dark romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
