“On giving the poster closer inspection, the Frankenstein’s monster turned out to be a ghost and the flier was advertising a séance, held by one Mama Colgate Hummer III. Now, Muriel found herself one of about twenty pensioners sitting in the hall.”

And so begins the story of Muriel widow, general grump and now reluctant communicator with ‘the other side.’

In a twist of fate, strange messages start to appear on Murielʼs deceased husband’s mobile phone. Refusing to believe that they are anything other than hoaxes or scrambled messages left over from Fredʼs philandering, Muriel tries to put the ‘Church Hall episode’ behind her.

Sadly Murielʼs closest pal, Ethel Williams, sees a business opportunity like no other. She realises that her friend has a phone that is connected to the dead and so Muriel is destined to become the ʻMobile Clairvoyant,ʼ embarking on a journey that turns her, “Twilight years into the bloody Twilight Zone.”

Muriel, Ethel and their seemingly omnipotent accomplice Mrs Gronk, take on the world – from becoming household names, to assisting the police in the search for a missing socialite, doing readings for A-list Hollywood celebrities and everything in between.
