This was the first edition of the book that I bought, which has 150 reports of shark attacks from around the world. There are certainly plenty of reports from South Africa, Australia and the USA, a few maritime disasters, attacks on divers and swimmers. Most are taken from the newspaper reports of the attacks, letters to the editor or witness statements and some include updates on specific attacks especially if the victim died in hospital.
If you are fascinated by sharks and watch things like When Sharks Attack, you might be interested in this. Please note that there are updated and expanded editions available.
Only 2 stars due to some shocking errors. It’s very common knowledge that Rodney Fox was attacked by a Great White and not a Bronze Whaler shark. Poorly researched which put me off the book.
