After a lifetime of living in rural New Zealand this has provided a rich base for my stories.
I have always written and for many years freelanced for metroploitan and regional newspapers.
I write romance because I love delving into human relationships. It is these relationships in all their diversity that make the human race so fascinating.
I've been asked why Romance and my answer is always: I write romance because to me first and last, family matters.
Interesting story about two people, attempting to overcome past betrayals of their significant others, find each other at a secluded private mountain vacation resort in Southern New Zealand. One, a famous Scottish author though he keeps his identity under wraps and the other in the medical profession, they find commonality in their past rejections. Well-written in descriptions, although unsure about the differences in spelling and grammar between the two countries. However, it made it interesting. Overall, good clean story with a novel Christmas plot.
She goes to a remote cabin after a nasty breakup and meets a famous Scottish author disguised as the Yeti. They both have a lot of baggage to deal with, which they manage to do in a few days. It's an easy read although it could have done with some editing. He tells her that he and his brother are identical twins and five minutes afterwards she's surprised to find out that the brothers are twins. The real reason why the witchy ex-wife turns up didn't seem to fit the character.
What a gem of a book and a delightful read! Two people needing a break from broken relationships and media attention meeting at a lodge over Christmas holidays. Agreeing to help stem the unwanted visit of his ex wife, Jamie asks Kayla to pretend to be his fiance. Trouble comes from both sides and yet there is a happy ending.
This book was intriguing. The plot had many twists and turns. I enjoyed the fact the main characters made each other laugh. I am looking forward to reading more of this author's work.
Kayla's life was in ruins thanks to lying, cheating Moran. She leaves to hide out at her best friend's family lodge. She meets Jamie, a mountain of a man who brings love and laughter back into her life.
A very good read. I love New Zealand so, the setting on South Island adds to my enjoyment. These two have loads of baggage from recent relationship disasters. They each deserve a break and their shared accommodation provides that.
I really enjoyed reading this book. The characters were engaging and believable. I appreciated the live story minus the sexual details. Definitely a new favorite author for me.
This book moved along, it was an easy read. There was some editing misses but overall it was good. Both Kayla & Haines were strong individuals. Although, like all of us had their baggage & doubts. I'm glad of their hea. There are some twists & turns but very realistic. I recommend this book. I'll read other books from this author.
