Amir Abdullah is a man of two worlds. One is the illegitimate business world, where he owns and helps run the cover business of a hotel chain. The other is the dark underworld of the mafia, where he is heir to the throne and The Family’s hitman. At 32 years old, Amir has never considered love. The danger and chaos of his life have never seemed worth the cost of entangling someone he cares about. That all changes when he sees Ezra.

Ezra Lyons is a recent college graduate who barely makes ends meet by delivering pizza and occasionally dancing at a local club. He’s sworn off love, after the end of an abusive relationship preferring to keep to himself. But lately, he's felt eyes on him.
Watching him.

loved this

Loved this, one submissive type completely unaware of the Mafia drama he has just been entangled in by the possessive growly type. ended on a cliff hanger that has me needing to read more.

a story I wasn’t ready for.

I was not prepared for the emotions that would pull me into this story and make me fall in love with these characters. It’s like I felt their fears and wants and insecurities right along with them. It was a wild roller coaster of a story and I ate every second of it up.

DNF @ 27%.

I wanted a bit more stalking from this stalker romance. Ezra gets a couple texts and photos, but there wasn’t much build up before Amir makes his move. And we get no POV from Amir of the stalking. He is just obsessed for some unknown reason and I think being in his head while he observed Ezra would have helped… instead we just get to read about him drilling (literally) into someone else’s head.

There’s quite a few typos. There’s a lot of sentences with odd punctuation, that are very awkward and/or just do not make sense:

• When I got the hood worked open, let’s face it didn’t just pop open anymore.

• However, when I found something I wanted. I always got it.

Why does a pizza delivery guy have marble floors in his studio apartment?

I want less of Amir torturing and killing other people and more stalking, more build up, because this just has zero tension and too many typos to distract from that.

If you need a quick palate cleanser after a 400+ page book left you with a hangover, or you need a fast paced MM mafia romance quick read to get your motor engine running after a slump, look no further than getting yourself involved with Amir and Ezra. Fair warning ⚠️ we got a cliffhanger, but fear not, book 2 is just around the corner. It's has some spice and it did the job, and I quote from the author "it's hella gay" 🔥 I love how the author manages to portray the trauma in the most simple way and still get the a great emotional pull out of it. We also got to read more about the MCs other life as the mafias hitman, and not just about him being obsessed with the other MCs, I enjoyed the balance in the short book and can't wait for book 2, because I need to know what happens next 😱
