Wow this book was sponsored by my least favourite trope: MISCOMMUNICATION. And wow, Rowan and Grayson take not talking and miscommunication to a whole new level!!
I mean obviously this is father/son taboo so it’s inherently messed up, but these two needed serious therapy 🤣 My heart broke for Rowan when he felt like his only way to get what he wanted was to be somebody else. And Grayson has a degree in running the fuck away every time it gets tough.
‼️New flash buddy, you’re banging your son, it’s always going to be tough‼️
Anyway, despite wanting to jump into the pages and slams these two’s heads together, I still enjoyed the story. It was taboo goodness, although Grayson did give me red flag vibes (despite f-king his son) and definitely needed to sort his shit out. Overall, a solid read and enjoyable.

I don't normally suggest my 'cesty couples do this but...have y'all ever tried therapy? You both need it.😅Whew. The toxicity oozes from them for like 90% of the book. Greyson does my least favorite activity - running away. And Rowen full on drugs daddy to get rough sex from him.

I remembered the world spinning out of control, tying him up and fucking him until everything went black. When I’d come to hours later, I’d found him still tied up and passed out next to me. I’d craved him even more, and without thinking much about it, I’d fucked him again until he woke up screaming.

They eventually, like during the last few pages, finally honestly communicate and arrive at a perfect balance but they had a rough ride getting there!

A very taboo story - mom passes away and son wants to take her place..in all the ways. Super hot, but the amount of times I wanted to scream at these two to actually communicate versus running away was numerous. Especially frustrating when a grown man/ father is this immature - and he also had a major drinking problem. The son was more mature and together than the dad.

Ahh my least favorite trope showing up to ruin yet another story. Miscommunication trope always results in a hate read or DNF for me. One damn conversation would have eliminated the dumb running away in shame BS. I want this trope to die in a dumpster fire!!! There were some really hot scenes and filthy dirty talk but outside of that, I did not enjoy. I love this author usually so this is unfortunate

This was a filthy, taboo, but also an emotional read too. Gianni knows how to write smut, dirty talk, and mix in emotions very well. This was a short novella about a father and son. The son has always loved his father in a more intimate way and been jealous of his mom. When the mom dies, a drunk encounter leads to bad steamy decisions 🥵🥵. I love how the dad tried to fight his attraction but his son wasn't taking no for an answer. The spice was too tier kinky 🔥🔥🔥. Another banger by Gianni!

Out of all the author's novellas I've read, this is easily the best written. It's fast-paced without rushing the emotions or the drama. The romance had enough time to develop, and while I would've loved to see it explored a bit more, it was surprisingly satisfying for such a short read. The smut delivered too, so I honestly have very little to complain about.
