This is one of a series of activity/observation game picture books focusing on a single day in a busy place. This book is set at the factory, where people come and go, and lots of different things happen. At the back of the book are some fold-out flaps with lists of puzzles to solve on every page. Philippe Dupasquier has also produced three "Robert" books, "The Great Escape", "I Can't Sleep" and "Follow That Chimp!", which was originally published in serial form in the children's magazine "Snap".
Philippe Dupasquier is an author and illustrator of children’s books. He attended art school in Lyon, France, after which he became a freelance illustrator in London, England.
For his illustrations in Bill's New Frock, he received the Smarties Prize (1989) and the Carnegie Medal commendation (1989) from the British Library Association, and the Oak Tree Award (1990), from Nottinghamshire Libraries.
