"Allison, I can't accept you."

I frowned when I heard him. "W-What?"

I could see that he tightened his fists. What was wrong with him?

"I-Is it because of Julie?" I asked with a bit of hope that he would tell me that he was just kidding.

This time he turned to me and looked into my eyes directly.

"Not because of her. It's just that I can't be with an Omega."

Allison fell in love with Ethan Iversen, the soon-to-be Alpha of the Moonlight Crown pack. She always wanted him to notice her. Meanwhile, Ethan was an arrogant Alpha who thought a weak Omega could not be his companion. Ethan's cousin, Ryan Iversen, who came back from abroad and was the actual heir of the pack, never tried to get the position nor did he show any interest in it. He was a popular playboy Alpha but when he came back to the pack, one thing captured his eyes and that was Allison.

It’s a mediocre book. It’s one of those “I hate this but I can’t stop reading it because it’s hot tea” I felt like the whole story book was hot gossip. The female lead got played (not cheated) by her child hood lover three times. First when he rejected her. Second is when he realised he loved her and wanted her back so he forcefully wanted to keep her with him. But when female lead still refused their family forced them to be together and so they stayed together for 2 more years.
There was a scene after 2 years where all the girls were admiring the female lead for having such a good boyfriend/fiancé but in reality his love for her was so fragile and fleeting. He claimed to love her but remember he had rejected her so their bond was already broken. So when his second chance mate arrived in front of him he immediately wagged his tail and followed the new woman. His excuse was first time it was easy for him to reject female lead because he could control his wolf but this time it was impossible to reject the new woman because the mate bond was stronger than he ever felt. So strong it was controlling him. But the female lead was more than happy that her fiancé is such a fleeting man because that meant now she could be free. She was like go my fiancé go win her heart! You must! She’s your destiny. Overall this was a very childish immature book but very entertaining to read

The plot thickens

Some parts of this book were so frustrating, I just wanted to throttle Allison and Ethan so bad. But I guess having a book get me so worked up is a good omen. There is one scene with Ryan where I was literally tearing up and wanted to give him a big hug (ok, and some other things too 😉).

The back and forth between all the main characters in the book will drive you crazy. I just hope that it all points to a HEA for everyone in the end.

I'll just say that Ryan will always hurt; everyone misjudges him so much that it infuriates me as a reader. Another issue is that I can't stand Ethan's persistence, but I have a feeling he has his reasons behind it. As for Alisson, if I were her, I wouldn't miss the chance to escape with Ryan.

Edge of your seat

I literally couldn't stop reading this book. Towards the end, I cried for her and Ryan!!! On to the final book to see what her parents are hiding

Really good novel. There are a lot of plots that can be boring to get into. However, the story is really good and worth it in the end
