Just kind of a dull mess. Sorel's attempt to reconcile Marxism with social ethics is interesting and his concern is worth considering but his writing stands Damned by the progress of history. Syndicalism is a ploughed furrough and Sorel is just kind of a not particularly innovative essayist from before its expiration date.
