Meh. Dense but I guess sweet MC h’s milkshake brings all the boys to her yard.

The mom’s sacrifice was impressive and horrifying at the same time.

I honestly think the Demon Lord is poorly socialized and the best match for the dense but somehow sweet MC h, sorry Childhood Friend-Zoned Dude.

2, not my particular flavor of milkshake YMMV, stars.

This was mostly a good story.
It featured a main character who is oblivious to her best friend’s romantic interest in her (and even goes so far as to think he is actually interested in men).
Usually these kinds of misunderstandings carry through multiple volumes, but fortunately the author didn’t let it linger past this book.
The main story was enjoyable and I liked a lot of the supporting characters. Unfortunately the epilogue and the extra chapter that followed completely derailed my enjoyment of the story. Things went in a wacky direction and left me feeling like I would probably not enjoy a follow up volume (I am not sure there actually is a follow up volume however — the story is incomplete at the end of this volume but the author’s afterword didn’t give the impression there was more planned).
