Enrique is a billionaire bad boy—at least, that’s what the world believes. His playboy reputation makes a good cover, but it could cost him the one thing he needs love.
Enrique has always been the baddest boy in the Bad Boys Club, and that hasn’t changed with age. A New Year's challenge between his brothers forces him to face his childhood fears once and for all. But when he’s paired up with his best friend’s sister for ski lessons, sparks fly, and danger spikes.
Leighann believes that no one’s past should define them forever. She trusts her brother when he says Enrique is like a chocolate-covered cherry—hard on the outside and soft on the inside. But her strength is tested when their lives hang in the balance, and Enrique is forced to confront the darkness that plagues him.
Will they overcome the odds and find happiness, or will Enrique's shadowy secrets shatter their chance at happily ever after?
Deanna Lilly delivers heartwarming stories that pull you in and make you feel like one of the family. If you like all the feels with only sweet kisses, this story is for you. Fans of Hallmark and Lifetime movies enjoy Deanna Lilly's books.
Deanna Lilly is the author of heartwarming clean romance novels that always end with a happily ever after.
She drinks way too much tea, loves anything with peach, and forest bathes whenever she needs to destress.
As a struggling reader who grew up on a secluded farm without television, Deanna had to rely on her imagination for entertainment, and every one of her stories included a prince charming or knight in shining armor. After 20 years as a public school literacy and special education teacher, Deana decided to take a leap of faith and share some of her stories with the world.
If she isn’t in her office or out in her hammock writing, she can be found baking in the kitchen, hiking in the Smokey Mountains, or relaxing at the beach. She currently lives on the west coast of Florida with her husband and their 19-year-old Manx cat, Harley, who is totally queen of the castle.
At the yearly New Year’s Eve family gathering the brothers of the “Bad Boys Club” are challenged to overcome some childhood fears. Enrique decides one way to overcome his fears of heights and falling would be to learn to ski. When his friend Curtis, has other commitments and cannot teach him he arranges another instructor. Enrique goes to meet this Lee expecting to meet a man but instead finds Leighann. Leighann is Curtis’ sister and an Olympic medal winner. Enrique wants to do everything in a hurry and is not good at taking instructions. Will Enrique start to listen to Leighann? Will the skiing lessons end before they begin? Will Enrique and Leighann learn to get along?
I enjoyed this book and recommend it.
I received a free copy of this book and freely and honestly leave my review.
I love to ski and this book certainly refreshed my memory of past ski trips. This book had a slow start due to meeting all the new characters, but once you got going it was really hard to put down. I want to thank the author for the "Cheat Sheet for the Main Characters" of all her books, she sent out in her 4/26/2024 newsletter, this is a definite help for me. This book put me through every emotion you could think of which shows the talent of this budding author. I laughed, cried, was concerned, aggravated, and happily surprised. I would recommend this book to everyone! It was refreshing to see the selflessness in the characters, though expressed in different ways. How giving a rich person could be, how unimpressed with money a hard-working person could be - frugal and learning to understand the other person. How they learn to value each other. Looking forward to the next book in the series:)
Even with the two opposite personalities and values in a romance, love has a lot to learn. The author has a special way of pulling in the reader with all the twists and turns. Enjoy!
Every person has value and worth! This story was unlike any I've ever read. I enjoyed the setting, as skiing is a fun pastime for me. The empathy that Leigh (the main female character) was able to express was convicting. This was the second book I read by Deanna Lily. I did struggle with the transition where the main characters went from being enemies to very close. It seemed a little rushed. Overall, a cute story that I enjoyed.

Thank you to Deanna Lilly for allowing me to read a copy of this book. This book was so wholesome, and I loved every second of it. Enrique's stubbornness leveled out with Leigh's persistence. They were perfectly written to be made for each other. The relationship that progressed throughout the book was just chef's kiss. And the side characters were amazing as well. I cannot wait to read more from Deanna Lilly and more from this series in the future.
Oh my goodness this book was awesome! Very pulls on your heartstrings and keeps twisting in the most heart rendering ,beautiful and delightful and laugh out loud funny way. There’s tense, gosh how there’s tense, suspenseful edge of your seat moments . Then there’s the chemistry and boy oh boy is there heat , that packed into their perfect banter and squabbles too …The BBC otherwise known as The Bad Boy’s club for want of a better name. Together through adversity against the streets and despite the foster system. They adopted one another and formed the strongest family unit. The brothers and Sister , wife of Anthony , Hannah meet on New Year’s, here as well as good food and family affairs there’s a yearly pact chosen on a rotating system for a brother to put forward to be completed by the following year , only this year one of them is back home from the military after serving two decades and so he’s making up for lost time and he has a pact to charge them with completing too, making two pacts face your fears and find a wife…Enrique decides to face his one of his brother’s New Year’s pact head on . Facing his childhood fear. The other one he’d need to find a date never mind a wife , it ain’t happening but this one it’s time to grow a pair. To do this he enlists his best friend Curtis to help, he’s unavailable to teach him the slopes though so he enlists the next best best person for the job … Leigh has agreed and taken on teaching the billionaire to ski and to face the mountains over a ten day trip as a favour , a three times Olympic champion she knows what she’s doing and is the best athlete to take on the task… To say she’s not happy with her student is an understatement. “Since when did you start making friends with self-entitled jerks? I’ve met almost all your friends, Curtis. None of them are like him.” When the big dope dishonours the slope she has to use her slaloming expertise to mount a rescue… over time they get to know a little of where they came from , their root cause of their flaws and opinions shift like an avalanche sliding down a mountain . Close proximity romance with a slow burn then climatic release of love endorphins to wait out the tumultuous storm raging outside . Deanna Lilly certainly knows how to get your pulses racing with brilliant prose , on the nose descriptors that sweep you up in the story. All the feels and very very realistic engaging characters . I couldn’t put it down , and it’s a long one so be heeded a fair few hours are needed to binge read this awesome book. I was forwarded the book and I’m leaving my review voluntarily in my own thoughts .
Finding Love on the Slopes was the perfect book to finish 2024 and start my new year's goal of reading more meaningful and well written closed door books. I did not expect how moved I would be by this story. The characters were realistic and actually had extensive conversations about what mattered. It was such a refreshing alternative to popular insta-lust romances where there's little important discussion and mostly steamy/spicy scenes to grab your attention.
Deanna Lilly accurately portrayed the conflicting emotions you can have when dealing with someone who is frustratingly difficult to live or work with but you care for them at the same time. There were times I wanted to smack Enrique's head but then also hug him in support. I understood the conflict he felt with truly opening his heart, given his childhood experiences and how they shaped his personality. Spurred on by Julio's New Year's Eve challenge, he started facing his fears so he could move forward with his life. Yet, it was uncertain for a long while whether he'd be successful or kill himself and Leighann in the process. Despite their disappointing introduction and subsequent interactions, she was more patient and brave with Enrique than I might have been in her place.
The bond Enrique had with his adopted brothers was heartwarming, especially in light of their saddening childhood. It was difficult to find out about the characters' heartbreaking pasts, but it helped show that people are complex and shouldn't be discounted. We see the hurting soul underneath Enrique's protective hardened exterior. I imagine some people have had similar painful experiences and can relate with these characters. It is a good reminder that our pasts don't have to define us or hamper our hopes and dreams.
I was hooked on this story because it felt so real. My heart raced, I sighed, smiled and a few times paused to let certain revelations sink in. Before I was halfway through, I bought Finding Love on the Sea which was recently released and still available at the low launch price. As the many layers of this story unraveled, I anticipated that I'd be satisfied with the conclusion and also want to read about the other brothers. Now that I finished Finding Love on the Slopes, I know that I'll enjoy reading Gabriel's story just as much as I did Enrique's and Leighann's. This series is a sweet surprise and I can't wait to read more from Deanna Lilly.
(I subscribed to Deanna Lilly's newsletter upon receiving a free ebook. I was later gifted the ebook of Finding Love on the Slopes by the author in exchange for posting my honest review, but that did not affect my opinion in any way.)
Wow this book was fantastic! At first, I thought this was going to be just another billionaire story. But it certainly isn't! If you have not already read this book, I highly recommend that you do. You will not regret it, I am positive. But let me tell you a little about the book. Enrique has been abused in some form all of his early years and he has learned not to trust everyone. Some people want to use you for what you have and what they want. He was finally put into the foster system and still was misunderstood and abused for a long time even then. Finally, he was more or less adopted by some of the other boys in the home. He now has 4 adopted brothers and Hannah his brother Anthony's wife. His brothers are Anthony, Gabriel, Fernando and Julio. They all started out life with nothing and now they are all billionaires. And they all made it the hard way not by stealing or anything illegal. They go by the BBC Brothers (Bad Boys Club Brothers). They have all earned their title of Bad Boys Club, especially Enrique. He has a lot of anger and fears that he is learning to overcome. At the age of 32 he is now working on another of his fears, heights and fear of falling. What better way to do this then skiing, he contacts one of his very good friends in Colorado, Curtis. He is an adventurer seeker, and he helps others with planning and going on adventures with them. But this time Curtis is booked with another group, he is going to find someone else to help Enrique out. He gets Leigh to do the skiing lessons for Enrique. Leigh is a two-time Olympic gold medal winner so this should be a lot of fun. When Enrique arrives at the ski lodge, he looks for Leigh and soon a woman comes over to him asking if he is Enrique? Curtis forgot to tell him that Leigh is a woman, and her name is Leighann, and she is Curtis's little sister. He is not good at taking orders from anyone let alone a woman. Too many times after he has gotten rich women have used him just to get ahead or for his money. Before they even start the lessons Enrique has a chip on his shoulder, Leighann just might have to just knock it off for him. Will the skiing lessons end before they begin? Will Enrique and Leighann learn to get along? Will Enrique ever learn to trust a woman? Will he ever learn to listen and not live so dangerously? All of these answers and many more are in this fantastic book. I am one of the ARC team members for Deanna Lilly and proud to be able to leave this review.
This book was a wonderful start to this series. I can't wait to read about the other members of the BBC.
Enrique had a very rough upbringing and ended up in an orphanage/foster home where he found his family (at least the brothers he always wanted). Actually, he didn't want them at first either. He was picked on, beaten up and abused until these boys took him under their wing and offered their protection. As adults now, they have become very successful and wealthy men. Only one has found love, though. In their New Year's pact, they are challenged to face one of their fears and find their true love. Enrique calls his friend, Chris, an adventure specialist to put together a ski experience that will help him overcome his fear of falling and heights. Chris offers his younger sister, Leigh, because he is booked for months out. The problem was that Chris didn't specify who Leigh is and Enrique thinks he is meeting "Lee". So, when a woman shows up instead of the man he is expecting, he is rude and cocky and unreasonable.
Leigh is a multi-Olympic gold medalist in skiing. She knows her stuff and she loves her brother, Chris, more than anything in this world and she would do anything for him. But, when Enrique shows up and treats her rudely, she is very close to dumping him but Chris talks her off the ledge and describes Enrique as a chocolate covered cherry; hard coating with a good heart.
When Enrique's recklessness threatens their safety and well-being, Leigh has to make a decision. Does she leave him to destroy himself or does she help him overcome his fears and find out if he really has the good heart her brother thinks he does?
This is a clean, sweet, romantic story about overcoming childhood traumas and finding your one-in-a-million. Like all wonderful romances, there is a happy ending.
I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.
Finding Love on the Slopes is the first book of the Bad Boys Club by Deanna Lilly. It is a contemporary, standalone romance. I really enjoyed it for it's overall message, which Lilly highlights in the book's preface - that there are no bad children and that behaviours could indicate a difficult upbringing. It's a sweet and heartwarming premise, that helps a group of adopted brothers begin their journey to happiness. Acknowledging that they are not their traumas suffered as children in foster care.
This is a pretty clean romance, that is at heart an enemies to lovers romance.
The story involves Enrique, the damaged billionaire with a traumatic childhood. He and his brothers make a pact every year, which they take turns in choosing. This year it is to embrace love and happiness, because they all deserve it. The other pact they make is to face one of their fears. Enrique takes to skiing to face his fears.
Leigh has been hit up by her big brother to be Enrique's ski instructor. Her brother is Enrique's best friend (add in classic best friend's sister trope), but what makes perfect for the job is that she is an Olympic winning skier. She does not like Enrique on sight, but when they are forced together (much like Shrek) Leigh discovers that Enrique has many layers.
This is a slow burn romance, so if you don't like too much bickering as the characters get to know each other, this book may be difficult to connect with. But in all, this is an action packed story that is essentially one big epiphany.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I have never read anything by Deanna Lily before, OMG this was fantastic; if I could give this 100 stars I would!! Enrique is the baddest of the Bad Boy Club, he is arrogant, and feels entitled because he is a billionaire. He does not treat women well, so he tries to avoid them. Enrique made a pact with his "brothers" to overcome a childhood fear, that of heights and falling. He calls his friend Curtis who does adventures and recommends someone else who is an Olympic gold medalist in skiing. Enrique pays one million dollars for ten days of ski lessons with "Lee." He believes Lee is a man, but the name is short for Leighann. This does not sit well with him, and he does not treat her well. They start on the bunny hill and he does not like it when the kids laugh when he falls. Enrique does not listen to her at all, after several days of "lessons" he attempts to go down a black diamond slope, and falls off the mountain; with a blizzard approaching. Leigh can see where he fell and needs to see if he's alive. He is so lucky, it's mostly just bumps and bruises, and a concussion; they make it to the ranger station to wait out the storm. They work together and do a lot of talking over those several days, and they find they like each other. Could this turn into something more once they are rescued? Love the plot, great setting, and strong intense interesting characters. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Lilly!!!
"“Take a breath and just calm down.” Those were the last words she wanted to hear. Curtis knew better than to tell a woman, any woman but especially her, to calm down when she was angry." A couple great quotes from the book. “Love doesn’t operate on anyone’s schedule, sweetheart...some people fall in love in moments, identifying their soulmate right away. Others it takes days, months, or even years. Some people never find it because they don’t want to, aren’t open when it comes, or throw the opportunity away.” Abuse in its numerous forms can be a difficult subject to write about, however, I feel this aspect of Enrique's character were well written. It was so annoying at times I was pulled from the story rolling my eyes with Leighann's constant gripping about Enrique's money. Either get over it and stay with him, or move on already! Don't get me started on the one liner about Tom's "two moms" that was thrown in there. If I wanted to read alphabet books I would seek them out. Agh, now I need to take a deep breath and calm down!
This is a moving story about Enrique (billionaire) and Leighann ( Olympic Skier). They both have experienced tragedy while children and emotional scars remain. This story pulls at your heartstrings and makes you want to embrace them both while celebrating their accomplishments. Love and faith in someone has a way of turning even the most bitter person around as you’ll see with Enrique. I love the way it portrays that families don’t have to be blood related, but can choose to be “heart” families. They both overcame their struggles on their tumultuous journey resulting in their own HEA. Deanna has written ANOTHER winner. 🥇I highly recommend everyone who loves clean and wholesome books that captivate the reader from the beginning to the end to hurry and purchase this well written book. I rate it a 10 plus!! Deanna has just become my favorite author! Can’t wait for more of her wonderful books.
I always enjoy Deanna’s books. This is book one in this series, but there is an Easter egg tie-in to one of her other series if you can find it! Enrique is a single billionaire with a hard past which equals granite walls around his heart. When he gets the challenge to face his deepest fear, he calls the only guy he trusts to help him with that. But Curtis isn’t available, but swears he has the perfect person to help. What Enrique doesn’t expect is a woman. Leigh is rightfully offended and they get off like oil and water. But, as they are tackling this challenge, and getting to know each other, pieces of Enrique’s granite wall start to come down. Now, if I could find an Enrique I’d be excited. Being the first book in the series, there is a lot of character development in the first few chapters as your introduced to Enrique and his family. You won’t want to put this book down. Now on to book 2 in the series!
I liked this romantic suspense of Enrique and Leighann. Enrique is a billionaire who thinks he can do anything he wants to because he is rich. Leighann is a four-time Olympic downhill skier gold medal champion who is assigned to teach Enrique how to ski. Enrique is so arrogant that he doesn't pay attention to his instructor and is reckless. Before she can stop him, he goes down a slope that is too dangerous for experienced skiers and crashes. Leighann has to risk her life to go rescue him since a blizzard has started before she can get him to a cabin to wait for the storm to pass. While waiting for days for the storm to end and be rescued, they get to know each other and fall in love. I recommend this book as a clean Christian romantic suspense with a HEA ending. This is my voluntary and honest review.
Enrique has experienced his share of childhood heartaches and pain. He may have billions, but inside, he is just a little boy wanting to be accepted and loved by someone special, his one-in-a-million. Leighann, too, has overcome her past to be a woman of independence. As Enrique’s skiing instructor for a 10 day challenge, she learns she needs him, in spite of her reservations. Together they overcome the last and build a bright future.
This was the first novel by this author for me. It was clean and wholesome, with some faith elements. The writing style flowed well and the characters, though opposites, blended together to form a great story.
I received a complimentary copy and these are my voluntary and honest opinions. I was not required to leave a positive review.
Great book. I just loved it. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was intense. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t put it down. It was addicted and heartwarming hallmark movie. He was a billionaire of a jerk and she was a beautiful young lady who ran into each other on the slopes at a mountain lodge. The chemistry between them was sexual tension and the physical attraction was sensational. But she was intrigued with him and things started to heat up between them as we know it. Was she falling for him or was they destiny to be together. Romance was in the air for these two on the slopes. I definitely recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed. I received advance copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion. Trina Jones
Is a sweet clean enemies to lovers romance with no cliffhanger. Some of the lines I really liked --- Enrique might be fun to look at, but he was exhausting to work with. This was the reason she avoided romance; men were annoying distractions and not worth the effort. --- "I believe in you. I always have. You are brave. You have a determination in you that defies all the odds, and you are the strongest woman I've ever been privileged to know." --- "The most important things in marriage are communication, compromise, respect and understanding. Love is important, but without these others in place, you'll have problems." --- I loved Leighann and Enrique's story and can't wait for her next book to come out. I received a free ARC and this is my honest opinion.
When opposites attract and can repel each other at the same time…
Can you always tell a book by its cover? – No, No, No. The same applies to people. This story certainly exemplifies that fact. When Enrique and Leighann meet they are like oil and water. Only time and a life-changing experience helps to dissolve their differences. We all have some kind of healing to do. Our egos get in the way of our true happiness which can only flow from the heart.
This was an enjoyable read that keeps you turning pages. It’s a really good story with wonderful characters and a bit of excitement and adventure along the way. It is nice to read a clean romance that is thought provoking and entertaining…I received an arc and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Wow! This book was sooo good!! I've read 2 of these now and I don't know which was better. These books are amazing! Enrique with his snobbish, harsh, horrible attitude was hard to like at first. He's this Billionaire with the attitude to go with it. But you know there has to be more to him. I loved watching his growth throughout the book. His background story could be a trigger for some so make sure you Heed the warnings to be sure you're OK. They were handled very well by the author and I was right there with our MCs through the retelling. Leighann was awesome. I LOVED her snark. She had way more patience than I do and her compassion is something I strive for. These two together were fire and ice and it was great! So much drama. Read it! You will love it too!
Great Romance and characters, some you love, some not so much. Enrique is a Billionaire who is afraid of heights and falling. He hires "Lee" to give him 10 skiing lessons, for a million dollars no less!! The only problem is, he thinks Lee is a man, imagine his surprise when Leighann shows up!!! He is not very good at listening and ends up hurt. Due to a storm they end up in a Ranger station to wait it out, which gives them days to talk and get to know each other. will they be able to develop more??? A story I am sure you will love.

A vivid story that blends romance, adventure, and self-discovery. The camaraderie among the members of the BBC (Bad Boy's Club) is palpable, showcasing the power of friendship and family bonds. Enrique's journey to conquer his fears and find love is both thrilling and heartwarming. The location is set against the stunning backdrop of snowy mountains and daring rescues. The skillful storytelling and vivid characters make this novel an absolute delight to read from start to finish. It contains tons of emotion and is an unforgettable reading experience. This is not a quick read.

Leighann (Lee) & Enrique: This is the first book in the Bad Boys Club series. They are interconnected, but can be read as a stand-alone. Clean romance/best friend’s sister/bad boy billionaire. This book has characters you love or love to hate, and some you have to get to their gooey center to get to the good stuff. To help Enrique conquer his fears, he hires Lee to give him skiing lessons. Things don’t go well, and they are stuck together waiting out a storm. I enjoyed this slow burn inspirational story, and I look forward to reading more from this series.

Finding Love on the Slopes is the first book in the Bad Boys Club and didn’t not disappoint. Enrique is a billionaire who grew up on the streets and is used to getting his way. When he decides to learn how to ski from an Olympic Gold medalist, he is surprised to find out it is a woman. Leighann is frustrated by her arrogant and rude client who will not follow her direction. When they are stranded together they open up to each other and discover a surprising compatibility. Can this woman who loves the simple life and this extravagant billionaire find happiness together? I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend.
I have enjoyed every book by Deanna Lilly I’ve read and this one is no exception. She’ll grab your attention at the start with the New Year’s eve dinner with the “family”, to Hannah’s way of reprimanding Enrique for be late (again), to the two pacts. You’ll be wondering along with Leighann exactly what redeeming feature her brother, Curtis, sees in Enrique. He’s not exactly who you would expect a very protective brother to put with his sister, even if she is an Olympic champion. Enrique’s background story will tear your heart out (have the tissues close) This book brings you romance, danger, humor, and a few surprises. I can’t wait to learn about the other brothers’ romances.
This story is a closed door but the story itself is amazing. Enrique has a past that will break your heart. It has him building walls all around him. He is addressing some of his fears, fear of falling and heights, so heads to Colorado to go skiing. He is paired up with Leigh and soon finds out that Leigh is short for Leighann. They don’t start off on the right foot at all due to Enrique’s past issues.
Enrique gets himself into a jam and Leigh gets him to shelter where they have to wait out a storm and end up learning so much about each other.

Takes a bit of time to get into with all the characters & their background to understand. He's been a bad boy due to his parents & tough exterior. She's had her own challenges with a mom lost in grief after her husband died. The h was adopted by her brother & is a gold metalist skier. The H has fears he tries to work through by his macho attitude & not Iistening to the h who tries to keep him safe. Due to the H's working through his fears from his parents & general background, he puts both their lives & the lives of rescuers in mortal danger. The couple are so opposite & yet learn to compromise with time. Worth reading.
Finding Love on the Slopes is the first in a new series and it is exceptionally good.
Enrique and Leighann are very good characters with depths, flaws and a whole heap of baggage. Needless to say it was definitely not love at first sight but a close proximity situation forced them to reevaluate both themselves and each other. Deanna Lilly handles a difficult subject with sensitivity and takes the time to let the characters and storyline develop properly. I for one am grateful for a longer book with depth and heart. This book will see you through a range of emotions and it really is a five star read. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Enrique was a bit tough to like for a long part of the story but, in the end, you see a whole different guy than showed up at the beginning. Leigh had a ton to do with that and I really liked her character. Strong, no-nonsense, serious but with a good sense of humor, Leigh changed a lot during the story also and that was a nice thing. The drama and the tension were not too bad - just enough to make the story follow all the "required" plot points without it being too over the top. Maybe, though, that was because Enrique was so over the top that it downplayed the rest of it. I don't know but I enjoyed the story and am going to look up more. I enjoy the writing of Deanna Lilly.
Honestly, billionaire bad boys leave me cold, so I read this book with some doubt. And he's a guy you will love to hate, a real jerk. But when the physically and emotionally strong heroine saves his life, the story gets so much better. They both have to work hard to understanding and respecting one another's values and culture, each giving up their preference for the sake of other. All in all, a good story. This is a standalone, but now I do look forward to reading the rest of the series, billionaires or not!
