Alexander Henderson (c. 1583 – 19 August 1646) was a Scottish theologian, and an important ecclesiastical statesman of his period. He is considered the second founder of the Reformed Church in Scotland, and its Presbyterian churches are largely indebted to him for the forms of their dogmas and organisation.

Berith Press sent me a copy of "Ecclesiology" by Alexander Henderson in exchange for an honest review.

Alexander Henderson was one of the Scottish delegates to the Westminster Assembly, so his thought ought to be studied by all Presbyterians. This brief but accessible volume really gives us insight into two key topics from Henderson's context: Reformed Presbyterian church order and the rejection of Prelacy (Episcopal church government). This is a gem, especially if you want to understand the debates at the Westminster Assembly over church government. Berith Press has done great work on this volume, and I hope they only continue to increase in popularity.
