Interesting plotline but the ending was not great. Kind of ended flat, more could have been done. That spoilt the book for me, as it's a good comfort read on a cold day. Has good plotting and strong story line.
low page count still packed in a lot of twists and turns. had a good storyline
the biggest gripe and reason its rated lower is you can tell its mid to early 2010's reprinted in recent years - the constant obsession with food intake, takeaway and body sizes is seriously outdated and so frustrating.
I was really surprised by this one. I didn't figure it out until just before the main character figured it out. I read this book in one day. I had read The one about the inheritance, I think it was the The Greek Gift and these characters were in it so wanted to read the back story. It is a good book.
I came to this after reading another by the same author. I gave that one my rare 4-star rating, and so was looking forward to another great read. Unfortunately, I was quite unpleasantly surprised by unrelenting angst and stress. Hopefully this was a one-time thing. I finished it, but it was not time well spent.
Probably would have been less lost if I’d read the preceding book first but this book was absolutely wild for such a low page count. It’s absolutely batshit wild.
