Schoolteacher Mollie Lehman loves her job, but there’s one problem—her family’s medical debt means she can’t afford to take school breaks off. The arrival of widower Noah Frye might just be the answer she’s looking for. Working as a nanny for his two children is the ideal solution…until Mollie and Noah start to fall for each other. But they’ve both lost too much to trust in love. Will they find the courage to face their fears and realize their perfect arrangement could also be a perfect match?
From Love Uplifting stories of faith, forgiveness and hope.
A wonderful story about forgiveness. Mollie agreed to watch Noah’s 2 children while he paints barn quilts. His wife died 5 years ago. Millie was in a buggy accident and now has scars on one cheek. Both feel they are unworthy to seek love.
Suffering an accident she doesn't remember has caused Mollie to have difficulty trusting that she deserves to have a happy future. Going through a great loss has been difficult for Noah and has left him with trust issues. As a result, neither knows how to let go of their deepest fears, but time spent together opens up a possibility neither had thought could ever happen. Theirs is a story of healing, faith, family, and love.
Book Quotes: She needed to remember God must have had a reason for changing the path of her life in one split second.
"God tells us He loves us in many different ways, too. Sometimes, we have to listen with our hearts. Occasionally, His message is as loud as thunder."
Mollie is asked to help watch two children while their father, Noah, works. Noah and his children move to Lost River, so that he can create quilt barn art. Will they get pass their past to find true love?
Jo Ann Brown gives us the heartwarming story of Noah and Mollie, both needing courage and strength to move ahead. They have each gone through loss, but of different kinds. Both are determined to keep their hearts safe. Can they overcome the hurts of the past to move ahead….together?
If you enjoy Amish fiction with two of the cutest kids, then I recommend Healing Her Amish Heart.
Healing Her Amish Heart is Brown's first book in the Amish of Lost River series. It was a very enjoyable read, and I look forward to reading more books in this series.
