Jack in Time is an addictive page turning crime thriller with ancestral tones mirroring the Jack the Ripper murders. With multiple victims sustaining horrific attacks, DNA evidence identified, is found to belong to the 19th century killer. Although a work of fiction, the investigation team is based on real life characters who deal with real life investigations, both current and historic. The author is a former award winning Detective, having spent previous years in Major Crime.
It took me a little while to adjust to the authors style of writing but once I did Jack in time turned out to be a really good read. I’ve always had an interest for anything “Jack the ripper” so this peaked my interest from the start from reading the blurb. The storyline was well written and boy was there a couple of twists and turns I didn’t see coming.
