The Horror of Styre House

Rate this book
Lydia Smith thinks she has finally escaped from her tragic past. Living a quiet, contented life with her familiar Smythe, she hopes to avoid any trouble. But when whispers start to spread and the local villagers learn about Lydia's mysterious books, she realizes that she might never be free.

Soon Lydia comes up with a plan. She knows she's doomed, but she's determined to find some way to outlive her own failing body. The books offer a solution, albeit one that comes at a terrible cost. Although she always promised herself that she'd never use her powers for evil, Lydia finds herself pushed to breaking point. As angry villagers close in, will she commit the ultimate sin in a desperate attempt to survive?

The Horror of Styre House is the third and final book in a trilogy about a remote, abandoned English cottage that still bears the scars of its terrifying past, and about an evil creature that lurks in the shadows and waits for its chance to pounce.

Enjoyed this the most of the three. A great way to tie all three books together. Enjoyed the ending and felt like the story wrapped up nicely. Would recommend!

Vengeance is sweet

Lidia is a very strong-willed woman. Whether a witch or possibly a God-fearing lady with gifted supernatural powers to put an end to evil, it's up to us the readers to make our choice. This is an intense story with an awesome ending.
