Inspiring readers since our first issue was published in 1935, Forward Day by Day remains a significant resource for daily prayer and Bible study to more than a half million readers worldwide.
Forward Day by Day is a booklet of daily inspirational meditations reflecting on a specific Bible passage, chosen from the daily lectionary readings as listed in the Revised Common Lectionary or the Daily Office from the Episcopal Church's Book of Common Prayer.
The meditations are rich in substance and offer a wide range of witness and experiences. Each month’s meditation is written by a different author, providing fresh and diverse messages to readers on a regular basis.
Forward Day by Day is published February/March/April; May/June/July; August/September/October; and November/December/January.
About the Authors

Kira Austin-Young is an Episcopal priest currently serving at the Episcopal Church of St. Mary the Virgin in San Francisco, though she also has roots in Texas and Tennessee. She is the author of Pro-Choice and Reconciling Faith, Politics, and Justice and has been a contributing writer for other publications as well.

Philip M. Beyer has a passion for serving the unhoused, incarcerated, addicted, and missions in Haiti. Phil is a retired businessperson, author, and avid gardener who lives in Tallahassee, Florida, with Jeanie, his wife of 52 years, and retired archdeacon of the Diocese of Florida. They have two children and two grandchildren.

Erin Morey is an Episcopal priest and attorney who lives with many rescue pets in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
