Falling for your boss’s daughter is cliché.
But I’m reckless enough to want her anyway.

Pippa Cartwright is nearly half my age. Brilliant. Relentless. An elite figure skater chasing gold. She’s also the daughter of the man who signs my paycheck, which makes wanting her the kind of temptation that could end my career with one wrong decision.

I’m hired to fly her, not think about her. Not notice the way she watches me. Not wonder what would happen if I stopped saying no.

She thrives on discipline and ambition. I’ve built my life on professionalism and restraint. But somewhere between takeoffs and landings, the line blurs—and wanting her becomes a risk I can’t afford.

Because some risks don’t just cost you your job—
they cost you the one thing you swore you’d never want.

If you love age gaps that feel inevitable, forbidden tension you can’t put down, and heroes who try to walk away but can’t, Fly Boy will take you there—and give you the landing you’re craving.

Fly Boy is the third book in the Not Suitable For Work series. Books are interconnected standalones best enjoyed in order, but not necessary.

DNF. Opening scene with MMC f****g OW while thinking of FMC. As a reader who picks up a book to read about the romance between the two MCs, why was this scene needed?

What purpose does it serve to incorporate sex scenes with OP? Is it so we can know what a stud he is in the sack? How well he f***s and can blow his load in OP while doing same to the FMC?

Nothing makes me DNF a book faster than incorporating these scenes but that is me. Now I'm curious about others who high rate it because for the life of me, I don't understand what is so enjoyable about them if it is not the FMC and why authors continue to incorporate them in the first place. Help me understand here.

This was an MF romance where the H is a solid lead in every scene and who has you eagerly reading and imagining him. The h was not a hit for me. I think it is the trope of billionaire’s only child who gets everything they ask for and says to themselves that they are going to get their gorgeous private pilot because they always get what they want. I didn’t like that. Their chemistry is hot and he wants her big time, but a privileged POV doesn’t keep me happily reading in hopes of a couple finding that HEA together come hell or high water. She has already determined that he will be bagged, one way or another.

I didn’t care for her potty mouth, either. Pippa cusses, a lot, and it struck me as coarse. In their first sex scene she sees that Wyatt has a Prince Albert and says, “I’ve never fucked someone with their dick pierced.” I don’t know, it was just a turn off to have a young pretty princess talk like a Marine.

I’m going to add figure skating to my list of romance books to avoid. A large amount of the book was the world of pairs figure skating and all of the pre-Olympic competition. The book itself is very long. The forty-three chapters and two epilogues made for a lengthy read.
I skimmed the skating competition scenes that kept the couple apart.
This is a new to me author. Their writing is clear.

yes i finished this in one night… look away…

second times the charm, well it is now. i tried to read this book a couple weeks ago and i just wasn’t in the mood but tonight i sat down and read the whole thing and i’m happy i did! this is a forbidden romance between a girl and her pilot, its giving privilege. i was scared that i would be too annoyed by the billionaire thing but the romance ended up being so good that i forgot about it.

pippa, our main character, is a professional figure skater and that is where most of my issues with this story lie. her relationship with wyatt was amazing. i adored watching them give into each other and eventually fall in love. the scenes that involved her skating career however just felt very underdeveloped. she was supposed to be gunning for a spot on the olympic team and yet we had one training scene. then all the actually competitions were told from some random press box people. i just didn’t enjoy that part of the story as much as the romance and the relationship wyatt has with his family.

i have now read bowie’s book and wyatt’s book so maybe later this year i’ll check out teddy’s story. if you’re looking for a forbidden romance and a reformed playboy, look now further than this book!!

What we get:
• Age gap
• Sport romance
• Figure Skater x Private Pilot
• Boss's daughter
• Billionaire FMC
• Tattooed & pierced MMC

Wyatt Grant—and his whole family—have my heart. I love Vari’s ability to take tropes/themes and put her spin on it, and Fly Boy is no exception. The story is more about the thrill of forbidden romance, especially with Wyatt risking his job if he crosses the line.

Wyatt’s a private pilot for Cartwright Oil, specifically flying his boss’s 22 y/o daughter, Pippa, who’s a competitive pairs figure skater. Pippa is trying to make a name for herself—one she’s worked hard to build, despite people assuming her success is bought by her dad’s wealth. Wyatt catches glimpses of Pippa's true self on their flights, but it’s only when they hit some turbulence that she really lets her guard down.

The banter, chemistry, TENSION, and connection between Wyatt and Pippa transcend their 17 year age gap making their story even more captivating. Both have experienced loss and while not exactly the same, it enables them to really understand on a deeper level. Despite what others might think, they bring out the best in one another. Wyatt’s supportive and grounded, balancing Pippa’s focused, determined, and at times bratty personality. He’s that “she’s my woman and I love everything about her” kind of guy.

Both characters experience significant growth: Pippa in her career and how she handles outside pressure, and Wyatt as he finally confronts his unresolved past while gaining a clearer view of his family. The way Vari handled the Sadie/biological mom storyline was pure perfection.

Oh, and the spice? Absolutely off the charts. Wyatt is the filthiest of the Grant brothers, and seeing his banter with Pippa continue even during their intimate moments was just the cherry on top.

Vari, you absolutely NAILED this book. Thank you for gifting us this family (and the national treasure that is Sadie Grant) and these unforgettable stories!

I freaking love Vari Scott. She crushes the game when it comes to spice scenes and not making you wait until the end of the book. This is the third book in her Not Suitable For Work series and I think this one may have been my favorite. All three books are sweet, spicy and filled with fun different love stories, but Wyatt & Pippa’s is the HOTTEST. Age gap AND forbidden love? Count me in!

I can’t put into words how incredibly proud I am of Vari Scott for releasing her fifth [okay 5.5 !!] book today! I consider myself lucky for having been along for the ride, reading from the very beginning, and watching Vari’s writing + character development grow with every story. And damn it I have been WAITING for Wyatt’s time to shine. From the introductory chapters of Grease Monkey, Wyatt has always been my favorite Grant brother. He’s a private airline pilot and his current client is a wealthy businessman and his bratty [and I do mean 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐲 🙇‍♀️] figure skating daughter, Pippa. What starts as harmless flirting to get on Wyatt’s nerves, turns to thiiiiick tension following a stopover. He’s seventeen years her senior, but he is still a man okay!! And he is defenseless against Pippa. The spice is spicinnnnng + Wyatt is a hungry boy. 🐱 My man is down BAAAD for his girl, even when he isn’t willing to admit it to himself, even when he thinks it’s just sex. Pls. With a body [and dick] like Wyatt Grant’s, it was never just sex. We protect this man at all costs, and we fight anyone who dares to look at him. This story is absolute gold [pun intended]. Wyatt is heavy handed when it’s needed 😏 and supportive as hell when it counts. Pippa is one lucky lady to have him in her corner. If you’re looking for something spicy + sporty [and with no third act breakup], this one is for you. 🫶

Note : While this is a complete series of interconnected standalones, this is one of the very few times I do genuinely believe you could read out of order if you really wanted to [even though the rule follower in me could never].

“Don’t play games you can’t win, little girl.”

Uhm hi Vari Scott, where have you been, love? I'm so glad I signed up for this . My husband has been in aviation for 25 years, and so I love it when that's in a story line and let's be honest, I'm a sucker for an age gap, too. But in all honesty, I loved talking to my husband about the jets and the probabilities/accuracies in the story.

Vari ran the plot steady through the entire book, which kept me coming back for more. Both MC's were relatable and lovable and towards the end of the book my heart was in my throat waiting for them to get busted together, but she let me down easy and I'm grateful for that! *praises the no 3rd act break up goddesses*

There's an undeniable attraction and pull between Pippa and her pilot Wyatt, and when they decide to try it on for size for one night only, well, you know the rest is history. (Especially once you learn about my friend Prince Albert).

“ Because you wanted to get to know me. Because I’m a therapist’s wet-fucking-dream. I’m the man who’s never had a girlfriend, the man who’s never been in love, the one who doesn’t want attachments because then I can leave them before they leave me. “I’m the one who’s fucking his boss’s daughter without an ounce of remorse, regret, or fear of the repercussions. I should let you go. I should have after the first time, but I can’t. I’m possessive in a way I’ve never been before that it almost scares me. I don’t like it. It isn’t me, yet as much as I try to fight it, it doesn’t work.”

There's a healthy mix of plot and steam, and despite that, there are also some pretty emotional and heavy topics at hand here. Beyond Pippa and Wyatts love story, my favorite is how her dad takes their relationship, and therefore, you get to see just how special Pippa and her father's relationship is.
“Honey, you couldn’t have been more obvious than if you stared at that man with flashing pink heart glasses and a badge that said I’m into my pilot.”

There's a whole host of side characters, which were all lovable, and there's a teaser of a potential mm romance for Evans book.

Overall, if you like the following in your books, you'll love this one just the same as I did.

Age gap (19 years)
Boss's daughter
Forbidden/secret relationship
Pretty peen
German shepherd vibes
She fights for him
No 3rd act break up
🍑 play

Please check your content warnings as some topics may be hard to read for sensitive readers. Content of childhood abandonment, cancer, and grieving a parent would be the ones that I would think are the biggest.

Vari Scott has done it again! The concluding book of the Not Suitable For Work series is another 5⭐️ story.

Wyatt Grant is oldest of the Grant boys, he’s 39, a pilot who loves his job. He’s forever professional until he meets his boss’s daughter, Pippa is a 22 year old figure skater who makes him want things he shouldn’t from her. She’s obviously attracted to him and doesn’t shy away from flirting with him, pushing him to his limits. The charged interactions and tension between these two is delicious!!

I loved being back in this world. The Grant family are the best, full of banter, fun and so much love. The relationship between Grant and his stepmom, Sadie made me a sobbing mess. Their bond so beautiful.

If a book where the billionaire, determined, hard working FMC gets her older, tattooed, pierced MMC to finally snap, sounds good to you then look no further and start reading today.

I was really excited about the premise of this book - sexy older pilot plus driven figure skater, hells yes! Unfortunately, it just didn’t deliver.

I liked the characters well enough and the smut was good but I think that was all to the detriment of the plot. It felt underdeveloped which made the book feel too long and had me quite bored by 3/4 of the way through.

I didn’t hate it, but I am also happy to be done.

What a perfect end to the series. I loved seeing the 2 brothers again in this book but you could read this one as a standalone out of order if you wanted and it would still be great.

The tropes are everything I want in a book. Forbidden (bosses daughter), age gap, sports (she’s an ice skater), billionaire. Just a perfect mix of amazing tropes with characters that you fall for immediately

I know Pippa is referred to as a brat in this book but I totally understood her. I actually really loved her as a person. I loved both of them. This book is also very spicy. I read it on a plane and I had to hide my kindle 🤣🤣 highly highly recommend

A story that makes you burn up with the hotness but then also cry in the same book? Yes please!

I just love a forbidden romance and already pretty much right from the start the tension is top-notch. However, this book is not all about the attraction and the “we can’t”, but also about Pippa and Wyatt’s layers and real life struggles they deal with and how they come to appreciate and support each other too. I really enjoyed the depth to this book as it easily could have just completely been about the forbidden romance and lust rather than delving into an actual heart-relationship too.

When things finally pop off sexually the first time though… 🫦 Hottest forbidden f-it moment I’ve read in a while. Wheeeew. Yes 👏🏻 yes 👏🏻 yes 👏🏻 and then there’s lots of pretty explicit 🌶️ scenes throughout the book, so if you like spicy this is for you for sure.

OMG PIPPA, GUUUURL!!! She cracked me up and I cheered her on so hard when she got hardcore going for what she wants!! I f-cking love how bratty she is with him (especially as a bratty-ass myself). The bratty aspect is done really well in this book and feels very natural to Pippa’s character. Some books I’ve read don’t pull it off as nicely.

Wyatt’s story really touched my heart and there’s definitely some tearjerker moments - I truly didn’t expect to cry and I love that. And I just love him and Pippa for each other.

There’s also well built up tension for the “what is going to happen when they get found out?” factor. I could see potential for people to not like how that aspect resolved but I actually really appreciated it. I think somehow it kind of felt realistic to me and in line with those other characters. I don’t want to say too much as I don’t want to spoil.

I truly enjoyed this book so much- super hot, giggly, tears, heartwarming. It has it all! Well written and well paced. Definitely recommend and I’m now off to read the first two in the series! (I guess my plan to get through my backlog of KU books is off again 😅)

Easy 5/5 ⭐️ put this on your TBR!!

I received an advance copy of this book and have left my honest review.

The first thing that grabbed my attention when adding this book to my tbr, was the whole f0rbidden boss’s daughter. Throw in that she teases him till he breaks and an age gap it was automatic download for me. I wasn’t disappointed in my pick either. I enjoyed all the flirting banter between the two and the chemistry that was there. Wyatt certainly tried to fight it but Pippa made it very hard to resist her.

Wyatt if I could describe him and what I loved about him would be the whole professional good boy on the streets to a tattooed and pierced beast in the sheets 😉. Wyatt is one smexy pilot who takes his job very seriously. But who knew behind that uniform and pilots cap hid a body of tattoos and a bejeweled 🍆. I Loved his relationship with his parents and his brothers and even though this is book three, I do want to read his brother’s books that were before this one.

Pippa was a bit of a temptress but really was only like
That for Wyatt. Loved that Vari was able to write her
Like that. To show that she is this sweet and soft and often too hard on herself type of character but show there was just something about Wyatt that made her fall for him. With Wyatt being hired to fly Pippa, who is an up and coming pairs figure skater, to all her meets and practices they just grew closer. I absolutely enjoyed reading a rich girl who had an amazing and supportive father. I lived her dad and even though he is super rich he was a very lovable and at times a funny character to read. Pippa may be slightly out of her element with certain things and life outside of being filthy rich she was still very empathetic and giving. That’s not always how this type of character comes across in other books and for that I enjoyed it.

Only thing I may have wanted was some sort of closure or event between Pippa and a competing mean girl figure skater you meet a couple times in the book.

Fly Boy

Vari has a unique ability to weave tropes together in ways I never imagined.
This has been a great series to read. The Grant brothers own my whole heart, and I refuse to pick a favourite.
Wyatt is a private pilot and has been assigned the task of transporting Pippa, a professional athlete, to wherever she needs to be.
He is immediately intrigued and attracted to her but pushes the feelings away because he knows he risks his job getting mixed up with her. Pippa returns the attraction and experiences endless joy pushing Wyatt’s buttons.
Well you know what they say about best intentions. Once they had their fvck it moment they couldn’t stay away from each other.
I love Pippa. Though very mature and driven, she has incredible personal growth throughout the book. She puts an extreme amount of pressure on herself to be perfect. Wyatt helps her take a step back and find passion for her sport again. Sometimes the win isn’t the ultimate goal.
Wyatt has a lifetime worth of baggage he needs to unpack. He has some significant abandonment issues. Pippa is incredibly supportive and compassionate. She is the piece of his life he never knew was missing. They really do complete each other. I never once felt like the large age gap was weird. I adore them individually and as a couple.
There is amazing wit and banter throughout the entire book. This pair had me smiling and giggling the entire time.
If there is a medal for dirty talk Wyatt Grant wins a gold. And Pippa earns an award for biggest brat. Hot, hot, hot!!
Much of the book runs parallel to previous books in the three book series. Though a complete standalone I loved revisiting the other brothers.

10/10 recommend ♥️

The first moment I saw this book, I knew I HAD to read it. And from the first pages it was evident that I would enjoy the story. The writing was really good and clear and I loved how it gave me more depth over time into the characters.

I don’t know why, but I love the chemistry between the main characters. The chemistry between them was palpable. And when the line was finally crossed, things got steamy really fast! 🤭😍

Also even though they had mostly insane attractions towards each other, I loved how their relationship started to develop, maybe even without them acknowledging it. The way Waytt always took care of Ava. The way Ava was supporting him and he got to open up to hear and even let out his wilder side with her. And the forbidden love aspect, ahh so yummy. 🤭

I was on the edge of my seat just waiting how they are going to resolve the clear issue of them dating since the MMC is hired by FMC’s father. 👀 And let’s say it wasn’t what I expected. 🤭

Also, I loved the moments Wyatt shared with his stepmom Sadie. One of the last scenes of them together had be crying my eyes out. 😭🩷 Honestly, this book was surprisingly deep even though it had its steamy moments. I loved the character development, the story, writing and the main characters. The way they developed feelings for each other was somehow beautiful. Safe to say I LOVED this book! 💞

Thank you Vari and The author agency for providing me with this ARC. I LOVED it! 🥹🩷

Oh and good news it is on KU and it is available NOW! Go run, I mean fly and read it. 😘✈️

Wyatt and Pippa will have you falling in love with the idea of a gorgeous older pilot and a sassy young figure skater. I just loved how these two characters were written. Vari Scott Fly Boy is about a pilot Wyatt who is 39 and is 17 years older than Pippa, a figure skater and daughter of Wyatt 's billionaire boss. He flies Pippa to her practices and competition, so they spend some time alone. Wyatt likes to have control of his life and is considered a playboy, not having more than a one night stand, mainly due to his abandonment issues caused by his birth mother. Pippa is out to prove herself in the skating world and is focusing on both the gold and the Olympics.

The attraction between the two is noticeable from the start. Pippa is the one who goes for it, pushing Wyatt to give into his desires, but what turns into a one-time thing turns into a "can't be without you" situation. These two were made for each other, not caring about the age gap and forgetting about the consequences if Pippa's dad catches on. When they are together, it's like the world disappears. They opened each others eyes and made each other better.

I love their was no drama and that Pippa was a take control kind of girl. Yes, Wyatt calls her a brat, but she is only that way with h im. She doesn't let money get to her. She has a big heart, and they way she falls for Wyatt and him with her will have you crying and smiling.

My heart did break for Wyatt when it came to his biological mom, but I loved how the author wrote the way handled it. I gave Fly Boy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️++, and I love how Wyatt tries to "rid" the brattiness out of Pippa 😏 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶. I'm hoping we get to see more of Wyatt and Pippa.

"The man is a literal walking piece of art I want to study, major in, and become an expert on." - Pippa

I need Pippa in a way that terrifies me, yet I can't stop." - Wyatt

Oh man, I thought Teddy Grant would never be able to be replaced but then his older brother Wyatt came along and said "hold my beer"!!! It is nice to have a MMC that is older than 35 (I think he is 38 or 39). This lifelong bachelor has met his match in Pippa Cartwright.

Pippa, 17 years younger than Wyatt is the epitome of age just being a number. Her maturity definitely puts her around 27-30. She is not childish and I loved that for a young age she is very headstrong. Sure, she has her bratty ways but always intentional where Wyatt is concerned (IYKYK). She is truly who he needs to get him to settle down. Before he knows it she owns his heart.

Things between these two flow so easy. They just fit extremely well together. I love how Ms. Scott really doesn't draw a lot of attention to their ages because when they are together it isn't noticeable and that is how I love for an age gap to go. Wyatt is a very guarded man and yet he finds it so easy to open up to Pippa...yet another thing I loved about him. When he is faced with a couple of difficult situations he handles them with class.

I have read every single book Vari has written and I honestly cannot wait to see what she gives her readers next.

This book was everything I needed and MORE!
★★★★★

Fly Boy by Vari Scott had me hooked from the start. Falling for your boss’s daughter? Yes, please! Wyatt and Pippa’s story is the perfect blend of forbidden romance, age gap tension, and SO much heat. Wyatt is the ultimate brooding, tattooed pilot, and from the second Pippa steps on board her private jet, you can feel the chemistry crackling between them.

Pippa might be a focused, elite athlete, but she’s got this determined, fiery side that I loved. She knows what she wants, and let’s just say that Wyatt never stood a chance! The back-and-forth between them kept me glued to every page, especially as Wyatt tries (and fails) to resist the pull he feels for her. That push-pull dynamic? Absolute perfection.

The age gap adds just the right amount of taboo, but it’s the way these two connect—both physically and emotionally—that makes their romance so satisfying. Pippa's drive and passion are contagious, and I loved watching Wyatt try to maintain his composure, only to realize he’s in way over his head. Their chemistry is off the charts, and when they finally give in… wow, just wow.

This book was the perfect ending to the Not Suitable For Work series, and I couldn’t have asked for more. Forbidden romance, undeniable attraction, and a swoon-worthy HEA? Yes, yes, and YES. If you’re into steamy romances with a bit of edge, Fly Boy is a must-read!

I freaking adore figure skating. Especially pairs! I love that this book incorporated a figure skating athlete AND it's not about the pairing falling in love. It's a nice change of scenery from the classics that you usually see. Not that I'm against those. They're actually some of my favorites. Part of what helped me fall in love with the sport.

Having our girl Pippa be the billionaire and Wyatt be the worker bee. It's a nice dynamic change. One that I sucked up as quickly as I could. It's amazing. I loved each and every second of it. I loved Pippa and her determination to be the best. It's often hard to realize how much time and effort athletes put into their sport. She showed us an insight of what it was like. It was good of her to have Wyatt, he helped show her that she loved what she does. And that perfection isn't attainable. She did much better when she realized that

Wyatt our playboy pilot. Slowly and surely we see him realize the life he was living wasn't one he enjoyed. And our little spitfire was determined to make sure that he crossed that line he was adamant about keeping. He showed her what she was missing. Helped him get over the pain that his mother had caused. And Sadie??? We love her. We love her support. The world needs more Sadies.

I loved this book. It's cute. It's spicy. It's amazing.

DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE ENDING LIKE EXCUSE MEH I NEED MORE. I NEED TO SEE REACTIONS.

Hello ladies and gentlemen, this is your Captain... Mr. Sexy Pilot Man speaking. Please buckle up as we may experience some turbulence during our flight.

Vari Scott can do no wrong when it comes to her writing. Her stories are always engaging, captivating, and full of depth and spice! This may be my new favorite book from her because what could be better than an age gap and forbidden love?!?

Wyatt is the private pilot for a billionaire who just so happens to have a daughter who needs to be flown back and forth to practices and competitions. But there’s one teensy tiny problem....he can’t stop thinking about the dainty figure skater.

The attraction between Wyatt and Pippa is palpable and full of hot tension from the start. Pippa is a sassy brat who goes for what she wants and won’t stop til she gets it. Including Wyatt. The way this man fought tooth and nail to keep his hands to himself but inevitably failing epically had me kicking my feet! Even with the consequences hanging in the air, if her father was to find out about their secret tryst, added more to be desired.

Pippa and Wyatt have their own internal demons they battle, but the ways in which they were there for each other and supported one another left my heart melting. They helped one another see their worth on the inside and to rise above and conquer their dreams.

It was so much fun to see Teddy and Bowie and their partners again, and the banter between the siblings was such a highlight. And Sadie? Bless that woman because she is the epitome of loving her kids unconditionally. I'm so sad to see this series end, but so excited for what Vari has coming up next!

ARC Review:

Wyatt Grant is a private pilot for his boss’s daughter. She caught his attention since day one and he hasn’t been able to look away since.

Pippa is a figure skater that can’t afford any distractions, her one goal is to win and make it to the Olympics. But she can’t stop thinking about her pilot.

Both their futures are on the line, both are facing many obstacles. Will their personal problems prove to be too much for them to handle? Or will they prove to them just how well they fit together? It turns out that the most beautiful destinations sometimes have a very hard path leading to them.

I liked this book. The characters had a great development throughout the story, and they grew a lot. Wyatt realized that there’s more to life than just work, and that sometimes the past is best left just like that, in the past. Pippa had a very toxic relationship with herself in regard to her work, and it’s nice to see that in the end that relationship heels and she learns to love her sport again.

This two helped each other heal and together built a foundation that won’t be easily shaken. I don’t want to give you any spoilers, but this book definitely deserves to be checked out if you love the forbidden romance trope.

This is my first time reading a book by this author, and I will definitely be reading the other two in the series later on.

Spice: 3🌶️s

Wyatt is so controlled…at least in the beginning. This man was near perfection. He’s attracted to Pippa but doesn’t let himself go there for many reasons. He surprised me. For how much he loves his family, he’s reserved with them in many ways and that made me a little sad. Teddy is probably the only one that pushes his buttons, not totally respecting how he is (obvious Teddy). I can’t imagine going through what he went through.

He has a very complicated relationship with his parents. I loved how Vari dealt with his situation. I have some experience when it comes to bad relationships with parents and childhood trauma. Some scenes were depicted so well and I applaud Vari for really considering Wyatt’s feelings.

Pippa is such a force. She knows what she wants and goes after it. She has a lot of self doubt but uses it to push herself. She’s rich and while many think she only got to where she is because of her dad’s money, it’s obvious in her character how untrue that is. Pippa is kind, grateful and giving.

The relationship between these two felt so natural and not rushed. The chemistry was there. The tension was hot. The spice was chefs kiss.

The brothers are now complete, all with their HEAs. I can’t wait to see what Vari comes up with next.

Pippa is a professional ice skater and Wyatt is her father’s private pilot. They meet and INSTANTLY have this deep infatuation with each other that they can’t seem to ignore. One day they decide to “get each other out of their system” and from there everything continues to escalate. With having to hide their relationship from Pippa’s dad and Wyatt’s boss, things get tricky but they seem to get through it, until they don’t. But if you want to know how things end up, I’d suggest reading and finding out!

My thoughts:

Pippa and Wyatt are one of my favorite book couples to date and I will be thinking about them for a long time. The chemistry between the two, the constant banter, and the sweetest heartfelt moments were the highlights of Fly Boy, for! sure!

There is plenty of open-door spice and the romance between the two is so cute that I was left jealous of both parties! The plot was well developed and didn’t center specifically on the relationship, but within their jobs and family lives as well, which I loved. Overall, this was a sweet and spicy romance with just enough drama and conflict that kept me on my toes.

Highlighted tropes:
-age gap
-forbidden romance
-angst and teasing
-mike high club?
-family trauma

This storyline was so good! I adored Wyatt and Pippa 😍

I don't usually like huge age gaps, but this book, it didn't feel like an age "gap". Both characters were mature and true to one another and it felt like just a couple in love and falling in love ❤

Wyatt is so adorable! He's intense, mature, protective, possesive 😂😎, brave, a pilot and motivated. He's usually on the grumpy side, but with Pippa 😫 He's sunshine!!! He has his own demons to deal with, but I love that he didn't push Pippa away when they appeared infront of him. He was mature and let her be there with him, at his side supporting him 😫🤧❤

Pippa is an ice skater. She and her skating partner are aiming for the Olympics, and she's absolutely phenomenal at it y'all 😍. She's hardworking, stunning, intelligent, kind hearted, protective, possessive and incredibly mature. She's so difficult on herself and it made me want to cuddle her 🤧 She was the one who finally made Wyatt take the leap in their relationship and I'm so glad she did.

Their bond, character development and storyline was beautiful! The writing was phenomenal, kept to the point and kept you hooked. The ice skating commentary was even better, I frickin loved reading that too! 😍 Thank you so much Vari for the ARC opportunity 🤭❤😎

This was BRILLIANT. Loved the book and have gained a new favorite author to add to my TBR (this was my first book by Vari Scott, and I'm a believer).

First of all - strong characters with great chemistry. Wyatt is kind of the lone wolf with severe mommy issues and Pippa has rich people issues (frankly, I don't see this as an issue but what do I know...). I liked that Pippa wasn't a simpering female and she had her own goals and ambitions to chase, in spite of Wyatt. I actually really liked that he was as emotionally closed off as he was because the growth that came with falling for someone & being vulnerable was a whole a** journey for him. Regardless, it was growth all around.

The bantering & flirting was really cute and then they smush like bunnies with some hot spice. Age gap + pilot stuff had me sold.

The plot falls off a bit towards the end - I won't "spoil" it for you - but I was a bit underwhelmed with how their relationship comes to light & the related consequences. Felt a bit rushed and like so much effort had gone into the story that there was a bit of a hurry to "land the plane" (no pun intended).

Regardless, I still enjoyed this a whole bunch & would highly recommend.

LOVE a HUNGRY man.
And hot fkn damn, Wyatt Grant can EAT 🥵🥵🥵
But let's take a step back so I can review the full story.

When we meet Wyatt and Pippa, these two are obsessed with each other, and I mean OBSESSED. I have never watched two people dance around each other this hard. I can't blame them because Pippa has her heart set on gold straight to the Olympics. Wyatt has is own hesitations in the form of an almost 20 year age different and oh...her being the boss's daughter.

You know who doesn't care so much about that? His d!ck and the brat that's testing his damn patience. And when that patience snaps.... 😏

I was ill prepared for the mouth on this man. I was ill prepared for the spice. I don't think I've been more turned by any other book this year 😌; I had to take several breaths.

And you know the best part about ALL THE SPICE we are blessed with? It wasn't just thrown in for the sake of it. Every scene felt so intentional and built on the connection these two were developing. It was so organic, and pacing only emphasized it.

And then, as if Vari didn't already make a fan out of me, we're given character arc greatness, which I truly need for a book to be my top anything. So it's no surprise that this is way up there in my top reads of the year.

Not Suitable For Work #3

Wyatt Grant is 39 and is the new pilot the billionaire Mr. Cartwright has hired to fly his planes. Most of his flights will be getting Pippa to and from her figure skating trials.

Pippa Cartwright is 22 and Team USA's rookie. She is a professional figure skater who skates with veteran Evan Thomson and they are hoping to make it to the Olympics.

When Wyatt first met Pippa she wasn't at all what he thought she would be and since has had a hard time not thinking about her. He is very much attracted to her but has kept it professional even though she makes it difficult and he's much older than her.
After a grueling flight where they had to do an emergency landing and had to find a hotel until the weather cleared things between them changed. This was the beginning of "them." She wants to keep it a secret.

Wyatt has some family issues to work out and Pippa is there as his support. He does the same for her when skating doesn't go quite the way she wants. They are good for each other. But how long will it last and what happens when the secret is out?

This was a new author for me. I enjoyed Wyatt and Pippa's story.

3.5⭐️ rounded up and 3/5🌶️

There aren’t many professions sexier than pilot. Add tattoos and a stoic attitude and my daddy issues come to life 😅

Wyatt is rapidly approaching forty and is still for the streets. But it wasn’t anything that concerned him until he met his Boss’ daughter, Phillippa (Pippa) Cartwright. (Ugh. Even her name is wealthy 🙄)

Anyway, Pippa is a professional athlete and has a grueling schedule that requires cross-country transportation… weekly. Enter Wyatt and his sexy jawline.

Pippa has no boundaries (wealthy, duh) and very much doesn’t respect Wyatt’s. What she doesn’t expect is how hard it will be to crack his façade. But it does crack and oooohhhhhhhh boooooooooyyyyyyyyyyy is it excellent.

Their story is glorious and I loved every printed word. I did take points away for a snapshot of Bowie being heartbroken(I thought we dealt with in his book?). Maybe the timeline overlaps? Either way, felt out of place. And all of the exposition at Pippa’s competitions. I found myself skipping those parts entirely so I could get back to our couple and their chemistry.

Would I recommend this book? Yeah. Definitely. I mean, pilot. Duh.

FLY BOY: VARI SCOTT

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ // 5 stars

I’m not surprised I loved and devoured this book. Because Vari is… Vari. 🙇🏼‍♀️ These brothers have been some of my favorite and memorable books and I hate to see it end, but can’t wait for what my friend has in store for the future.

Being the daughter of a billionaire, with people constantly thinking she advanced in her figure skating career because of it was just as exhausting as the pressure Pippa put on herself to be the very best. Not only having her eyes on the Olympics and the Gold, she also had eyes for her father’s private pilot.. a much older and forbidden man.

Wyatt felt the pull to Pippa but could not risk losing this amazing job. He fought hard enough every day to feel like a real part of his own family and his own trauma, and didn’t need the mess of an affair with a much younger woman and his bosses daughter.

The freaking sexual tension about made me snap my kindle. AND HIS MOUTH. Phew. Also a body covered in tattoos and hidden under professional pilot attire? SIGN ME THE F UP. When these two came together it was absolutely igniting a huge explosion and I could not WAIT for each spicy scene.

ARC Review;

Rating; ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What we get:
• Age gap
• Sport romance
• Figure Skater x Private Pilot
• Boss's daughter
• Billionaire FMC
• Tattooed & pierced MMC
