This was book 2 in the "Omegas of the Shifter Mafia series. Alpha Dragon shifter Maverick has caught the scent of his mate while rescuing some omega's but before he could investigate he was gone. Omega wolf shifter Hutch has been kept as a slave because he is unable to produce babies he has been used and abused. When Mav gets a call for a job he finds his mate. This was a good read and I really like this series the guys thought that they were helping the omega's that they are rescuing only to realize that the safe houses they are taking them to are not safe at all and that they are working for the wrong team. Hutch becomes part of the team after he is trained. This was a good read with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Book 2 has us once again back with the group of alpha shifters who are out to help abused omegas. I wouldn't call this much of a mafia romance but these alphas are a tight hitman unit with a similar goal in mind. Along with rescuing abused omegas, our alphas are scenting their mates one by one and this time Mav our dragon shifter scented but denied himself his true mate. So this is a slow burn but sweet second chance romance that I enjoyed reading from start to finish. There's a sweet surprise towards the end and a nice lead in to the next book. Can't wait!.

OMG, I fell in love with Mav in the 1st book and am so glad he got his own here! This henchman assasin dragon scented his fated mate, but with the chaos, he was sent to the omega safe house. It's what's best since Mav is a killer and always in danger and looking over his shoulder (that's what he tells himself). Mav is a loner and a stoic. Dragon's are by nature, but he's found a family with his team. It's fabulous to see him with Hammer & Grey's baby too (awe). My heart did break for the guys of the team with everything they learned. So disillusioned!

Hutch is a wolf shifter and his life has been a bit of a struggle. He's never really fit anywhere, or truly felt accepted and loved. Getting caught as a breeder, and being labeled "defective" just topped off the list. After finally scenting his mate, he's ripped away and put in a "safe" house that's anything but. Luckily, Fate tried again. Yeah, good times, but he's still defective, and who wants a barren mate? Poor Hutch went through terrible conditions and horrible treatment, yet his disposition, perceptions, and outlook was not that of other people. Would he find a place for himself with this new "family", something he was best suited to contribute?

This was an amazing story of self growth, struggle over adversity, good vs. evil, and the lengths some will go to obtain power and money. While similar in some ways to book 1, this book was different in enough ways that I'm sure the rest of the series will be a pleasure to read as well. There is a teaser for the 3rd book at the end... now I can't wait for book 3!!

The Alpha Hitman is a short story set in the shifter universe with a dynamic storyline and narrative about a group of alphas fighting against criminals abducting omegas. The base story focuses on shifter mates: Mav, a dragon shifter and hitman, and Hutch, an abused and abducted omega wolf shifter. They are fated and meet after Mav raids the omega breeding place and rescues Hutch. Though Mav fears he could endanger Hutch, their connection is stronger than doubts and fear.
Besides following a fated mate’s love, the story is packed with action and suspense. The eloquent writing is descriptive, almost journalistic, giving enough details but lacking emotional depth in the characters that would enhance the reading experience. Therefore, it is challenging to connect to the characters, their feelings, thoughts, and decisions. Because the narrative focuses on action, it leaves the relationship between Mav and Hutch appearing as missing passion and chemistry. For a better understanding of the context, I recommend reading previous books.
Fans of descriptive narrative, fast-paced stories packed with action, and not profoundly emotional romance will enjoy this book. Readers searching for profound, poetic, funny, or entertaining stories told in heartwarming or heartwrenching ways might not enjoy it so much.

Part of the Omegas of the Shifter Mafia series once you start you won’t want to put it down, we shifters and their mates. Maverick an alpha dragon shifter works along sides his team with one goal recuing omegas from the breeding operations, the last assignment he rescued his mate but left him in the program thinking he was affording him a better life but boy was he wrong, and now they see they of been rescuing the omegas only to send then right back into the same breeding program they thought they were saving them from breaking his heart. Their latest mission leads them to a cabin to take care of the building, the people but the one shock is his mate walks out of the cabin worse than when he left him making him feel terrible for not being a good mate. Hutch is so sweet, cares for those around him even if he must endure at the hands of others with one wish to live a normal life with his mate knowing in his heart his mate will be back and when he arrives, he convinces him to help save the others in another camp. Maverick still wants to protect him never taking into account he is safest with him, so Hutch takes over knowing he wants to be with his mate and his wolf agrees wholeheartedly leaving his mate with little choice but to accept their bond but will he accept his mate finally, will Hutch heal from all the abuse, will they take down the breeding operations, and can they find the peace for our wolf, happiness for them both?

The thought of breeding houses with forced breeding is nightmare enough but the thought of FINALLY being rescued only to wind up back in the same shape as before is soul crushingly frightening. Unfortunately, that’s the exact reality a lot of the omegas were living, omegas that the Shifter Mafia had thought they were saving. Now they’re questioning everything they believed about themselves and those they worked for; are they the good guys…or the bad?

Maverick is a dragon hitman in the Shifter Mafia, the one called in to terminate anyone the powers that be deem necessary. When he scents his omega at the hit’s coordinates, the same omega he thought was in a safe house, rescued from a previous raid, and far away from him and the destruction that followed him, all he can do is fight with everything he has against his dragon’s desire to claim him.

Hutch never thought he’d trust one of the alphas responsible for freeing him from one captor only to hand him over to another but once the wolf shifter scented his dragon rescuer, he realizes he’d trust his mate with his life.

SO. Sweet!! For the hitman to be such a big, bad dragon, he was impossibly tender to the little wolf shifter that smelled like HIS and that’s pure catnip to me! Though I’d’ve preferred a little more heat, that tenderness will get me every time!!!.

This is book 2 of the Omegas of the Shifter Mafia series. It can be enjoyed as a standalone but I would read them in order to get the background on all the characters. This is the story of Maverick and Hutch. Maverick is an alpha dragon shifter who along with his teammates are rescuing omegas from breeding operations. When he scented his mate at the last rescue, he let him go believing he was going to a better life. Better than having an assassin mate. Unfortunately, he was wrong. The team is finding out that they have been deceived and have been inadvertently helping the enemy. When Maverick is assigned to razz a cabin and burn the building and people; he is shocked to see his mate walk out of the cabin. His omega is in worse shape than when they rescued him the first time. Mav is shocked as he was supposed to have gone to a safe house. Before Hutch is rescued, he insists that Mav help save the others in another camp. This is their story. Even though both know that they are fated mates, Mav stills wants to protect Hutch by denying the bond. Good thing that Hutch knows his mind. He and his wolf are in complete agreement, they feel safe with Mav. This book is well written and easy to read. I really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

This is book 2 in the series Omegas of the Shifter Mafia by the writing duo of Lorelei M Hart. I love this duo and anytime I can find their books on Booksprout I grab them up as quickly as possible. Who doesn't love a book where you just know that the MCs are going to get or eventually get their HEA.

This series has a pretty serious underlying storyline that is the premise for each of the books in this series. A group of alpha protectors, thinking they were working for an honorable organization, thought they were saving kidnapped omegas. When they found out this wasn't true it upended their world and now they are trying to save these omegas again.

This isn't your typical Mafia story which is one of the things I love most about it.

I loved this book! The saga continues in this next tale, the story of Mav and Hutch. Mav and his team are finding out that something isn’t right, the omegas they are saving aren’t going to safe houses. It’s in one of these that he finds his mate, Hutch. Mav struggles with his worthiness as a mate and I love the way Hutch has his back and tells him how much he makes Hutch feel safe. Hutch will become an important part of the team as he helps calm the rescued omegas. They will get their happily ever after when Hutch puts his foot down, letting Mav know there is no place he’d rather be than by Mav’s side. Their last mission goes a little wonky and Tyrus is determined to find out why. I am loving this series and can’t wait to read what comes next!.

I enjoyed this book. It was a fast-paced read. I liked both Hutch and Maverick. I was sad that Hutch was still in a bad situation and sad that Mav let him go thinking his mate would be better off without him. When Mav finds him again in another bad situation, this time he won't let him go, but believes he's no good for him. But having been unsafe, it's Hutch's decision where he feels safe and where he belongs.

But the omegas that Mav and his team rescued were supposed to be sent somewhere safe and they were not. What is going on?

I enjoyed this story. It goes by pretty quick. I liked the supporting characters and looking forward to the next book. 4 stars.

Safe isn't always safe. Mav and the team are finding out things they weren't meant to find out, none of it good or expected. They are not helping omegas as they thought. Mav, has esteem issues that don't provide the results he wants with Hutch his wolf mate. Omegas who have been tortured or traumatized aren't necessarily willing to follow an alpha to a new unknown. Our story follows two threads of Mav and Hutch trying to find a path through their mating bond and Hutch serving as a liaizon between the rescue alphas and traumatized omegas. Mav learns a lesson that Hutch will not be put in the victim box. The team has a steep hill to climb to find answers and those responsible. Hutch, is an amazing likeable man. Maverick has a major case of guilt. Guilt over being a hitman, no matter how vile the person he dispatches is. Guilt over handing off the rescued omegas to be safe and finding out they were given into the hands of monsters. Guilt over leaving his mate after scenting him. Guilt over finding his mate suffering with abusers. Guilt over claiming him. Hutch understands but isn't willing to let Maverick wallow. Hutch has his own demons to fight. I liked that Maverick encourages Hutch as he learns to fight and how to use weapons. He acknowledges that Hutch is essential to their missions being a success. It is obvious that Hutch sees all of the team as family and is determined that their little one forms a bond with each member.

This is book two In Omegas of the Shifter Mafia, and it did not disapoint. I loved the story and these two characters Hutch and Maverick, Maverick is a Dragon shifters he is involved in the Mafia, he use to save lives until something happened, he should of been there instead of at work. When Maverick meets Hutch, Hutch brings a different side. The chemistry between these two washot between the sheets and they left their mark on each other to claim, the next day they argued Hutch wanted to stay, stay together and Maverick wanted to send him away so he Hutch left.

I didn't think I would want to continue with this series, but I guess I wanted to give it another shot. There are still a lot of grammatical errors in here, but this time I didn't let it distract me from the plot. There is also still a lot of tell-don't-show and most of the time we don't get explanations on how the team gets in and out of a situation, how they get from point A to point B, etc. There's a lot of fade-to-black and I understand that these are each 100 pages or so, but maybe the story would have benefitted from being longer? There's no real way to tell how time is passing either, so it feels like each book is happening in a day. Despite the confusion, I find at least some of the characters compelling enough to see this through.

I loved The Alpha Hitman's Mate: Book 2 of Omegas of the Shifter Mafia. Hutch dreamed his mate would save him but never thought it would happen. Maverick scented his mate but he had been sent to a safe house before he found him, or so he thought. Fortunately, he found him but in a desperate situation and he would need time to heal. Hutch can’t believe that his mate found him and now he will convince him he is worthy of his love. I loved the storyline and the characters. A little drama, some tears and steamy scenes. I can’t wait for the next book and I woukd definitely recommend this book.

Maverick was an assassin for hire and helping with rescuing omega from breeding farms, one day he smelled his his mate but had to let him go. He was sent on a mission to kill some alphas, but when he went to burn them his mate came out of the building so he had to change what he was going to do and grab his mate. But he ended going to another place and saving those omegas when Hutch told him to. They found out the safe houses weren’t safe houses so they had to rescue those omegas again with the help of Hutch. Maverick and Hutch worked out their differences. Good book!.

I remember reading the first in this series and seeing potential (along with a hundred editing and proofing errors) so decided to try #2. Same deal - This author desperately needs a Beta reader or two who won't lie to her. The ideas and plot are good, but the delivery lacks flow and often leaves the reader a bit lost as to who is speaking. The holes are big enough to drive a car through. (yes that is hyperbole - but also true) It is incredibly frustrating to see a story with potential end up so poorly written - I also find it mystifying that there are readers who see this as a 4 or 5 - Why?

There aren't really enough stars!!! This is the second installment of this series and I absolutely loved it! Mav is sure he's not good enough and Hutch is sure he has nothing to offer. Both of them have never been more wrong. They are perfect and they work together with the Alpha team to help rescue other Omegas in what were meant to be safe houses. I loved it so much, their characters were well written and the storyline very well done. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

I enjoyed this book. I liked that it picked up for the last one left off. There was one big glaring inconsistency. The first time that Hutch and Maverick mated they also marked each other. Yet the very next morning when Maverick was feeling guilty about Hutch having a life of danger with him then they proceeded to talk about the need to Mark each other. Even though it had already happened. I'm anxiously awaiting Tyrus story.

This is the result of thinking he sent Hutch to a safe house. Maverick finds out that his mate is not safe and goes to his rescue and taking down some bad guys too. This is another happily ever after with their own little one! Love his series so far!.

Hutch and Mav have so much that they need to get through before they can get to their HEA. Mav feels guilty about being a hitman and doesn't believe he should have a mate. Hutch is sweet and jumps in to help everyone and he is set to prove to Mav that he does deserve to be happy and mated.

Maverick, an alpha dragon shifter. thought his mate was safe after being rescued a breeding house. Hutch, an omega shifter. didn't understand why he was brought to another breeding house, Why they lied to him and the others, but he feels that he will be saved again. I really enjoyed this book.
