Drift was just pining after Kimba so hard, but in the most respectful way possible. She was an amazing pole dancer and in allll the denial about how she felt about Drift. Though the way they truly came together was dangerous, they were both fiercely loyal to each other and grew as a couple. The speciesism issues and political machinations were intense. I also loved how respectful Drift was of Kimba’s grief, and how Kimba was absolutely in his corner.

I've been reading this book on and off for the past couple of weeks.
Again, I love a competent FMC. Kimba was good. She's got the sensual allure going on, but it's only reserved exclusively for Drift, and she pole dances and what do we have here, she has a past job that she's using to contribute to the brotherhood.
Oh, and the female connections she has. Usually when a lone female character is given friends, it's usually girl friends for clubbing and bitching about relationship issues to. I loved how she was friends with girls at the club and also the brotherhood's mate (these ones fall more into the aforementioned type of friends). Then we have the backstory with Margot (I want Margot to get her own book, please and thank you, because we love a competent Madame who has secret layers and treats the girls who work for her well, you know, in the ideal book world). Then we have how she was able to make a connection with Rose that benefits all.
To be quite honest, for this book, I sort of got lost as to who is the bad guy and why they are bad guys. I know it's an extremist group. I know it's somehow related to book 1, but I kept on loosing facts on the "grand mystery/plot". Maybe a refresher summary/previously on, on who is who/legend and slight summary before we start book 3?
Drift was a sweetheart. Like oh my god, so cute in his devotion to Kimba, always waiting for her and at the same time BDE. Don't you just love a book where the couple are working through their trauma (though Drift's wasn't explored as much this book) and actually communicate? I loved it.
I don't get the Arc plot line. I know there's something going on, I just don't understand what and I'm not even sure whether it's something that had been hinted at/we are meant to figure out or, if we were seeing things from Kimba's unknown perspective, as purposed.
So, Cavrinskh, do we think they have evolved or, what I'm guessing is more than likely, someone is controlling them??? Who though? Like I would have loved a group discussion for this book.
Anyway, love this series and looking forward to reading more.

This series has quickly become a favorite. Davies gives me everything I want consistently: interesting world building, found family, excellent character and relationship development, and a mature, emotionally intimate romance. And for those who love lots of spice, you won’t be disappointed.
Last book ended with me seriously not liking Drift so the author had her work cut out for her but she did it. I fell in love with him pretty quickly. His longing and desire for Kimba is acute and so respectful. There was no way I wasn’t going to come to adore him once that side was revealed. And we get a nice dig at his expense from Richter in reference to book one which he feels rightly chastised for.
And Kimba, like most of the characters in the book, I don’t know if I want to be her or be with her. She is incredibly competent with a deadly charming mix of qualities, most notably being her ability to quickly assess people for who they are. I appreciated that Davies has this character as a widow caught between her feelings for her previous bond mate and for Drift. There’s cultural tension around bond mates who survive the breaking of their bond and we get to see her struggle through it with the people around her.

I throughly enjoyed the first book in this series but I really loved this one. The FMC was independent but also let the MMC take care of her throughout.

Dalia Davies is a sorceress with character construction. Seismic Drift made me a Drift fan after Richter Scale. I am anxious and excited about what she does with the other jerk personalities of the Brotherhood.
The nature of Drift and Kimba's shared story before the book and their pasts build up on the same mystery that also made me have an enjoyable time by the end of the Richter Scale. I wasn't sure what made me finish this story so quickly. Maybe it was the political intrigue targeting people, including the MCs. Maybe it was the constant and yet non-repetitive spicy scenes. Maybe both. Both are good. I'm already looking forward to Trench's story. I may now have a book boy crush on him.
As a side note, I want to be Kimba's gal pal. She is intimidating. She is sexy. She is lovely. She is my favorite FMC of this series so far.

A good romance plot, and lots of action on the overarching series plot as well! I appreciated having characters who were older with more life experience, and how they trusted each other to GSD. Kimba has led a full life already, and with D(rift) she gets a second chance at happiness. With Kimba, Drift gets someone he can relax with, and someone who will help him lead the rest of the Brotherhood.
The background plot with the Company gets twistier and more involved, and we also get a better idea of how the Brotherhood works and the personalities of some other members. Looking very much forward to the next hero!

I really liked this book! The relationship between Drift and Kimba already felt solid from the beginning, giving me a reason to root for them and I found Kimba’s situation to be really interesting. I live Drift! He’s strong and stoic but really yearning for love. I loved the patience he showed with Kimba. The overarching storyline continues to be intriguing. I wasn’t sure about the first book but now I’m really enjoying this series.

I LOVE THIS SERIES. I LOVE THIS SERIES. I LOVE THIS SERIES. Did I mention I love this series? Kimba and Drift's story was SO FREAKING GOOD. Drift could get it. Kimba could get it. I love that Kimba is such a strong FMC and just a general badass. This one had me on the edge of my seat and who doesn't like massive dong?

Started this book hating Drift thanks to Richter Scale but IMMEDIATELY fell in love with Drift. Dalia can make me love any character

The FEELS. What a beautiful story. I loved the dynamic between Drift and Kimba, how sweet and protective he was with her, and how he gave her space and time to figure things out, and how competent and actually helpful she was for the Brotherhood.
I love the over-arching plot that strings this series together, it's so interesting and had me dying to know more.
My only real complaint is that sometimes it's really difficult to figure out who is speaking, especially if there are more than 2 characters in the scene. I had to re-read dialogue sometimes to figure out from context who was speaking.
This whole series is phenomenal and I can't wait for more!

Honestly, this series really is unexpectedly good in both plot and smut. I'm hoping the author continues this one!
