When I was younger, my bedroom was in the basement of my parents' house. Often, when I couldn't sleep, I would go over to the bookshelf in the basement and look for books to read. This was one of the books on the bookshelf. I wasn't too familiar with Brook Berringer, or reading any titles that were sports-related. However, I did notice that our particular copy was signed by Coach Tom, so I knew it had to be pretty special.

We need more individuals like Brook. He dealt with many hardships throughout this life, and still managed to be a humble, positive role-model and a great addition to the Nebraska Football program. He was one of the many people who made the program classy and well-respected. Although this book is deeply emotional, it's definitely worth reading, even more than once. "One Final Pass" manages to keep Brook Berringer influential to this day, and this is one of the few reads that I recommend to everyone!

This is a great book if you want to read about one football players contribution to hope and love for his friends and family. Brook Berringer, the starting quarterback fot the Nebraska Cornhuskers (which is where im from) was a Godly man who treated everyone he knew with love and respect. I already knew about wht happened because like i said, i am from Nebraska and if you even say his name people will begin to cry. He was one of the most beloved person in Scottsbluff, NE. If you are the type of person that doesnt like sad endings or true stories, then this book is not for you. I personally loved this book.

Wow. Brook Berringer has always been special to us as Husker fans, and reading this book has made it all that much more so. What a terrible loss to not only football, but to the world, for everyone. I think any young man wanting to play football and make an impact in his character and leadership should read this; anyone who wants to know what leading by example in any sport or in any aspect of life should know Brook's legacy. No one can copy or replace him, but if we remember, we are that much better for it.
