Are you destined to repeat the same mistakes, or can your hope evolve?
Teagan’s a vampire on the run. With new cities and aliases, she’s spent most of her life hiding from her past and the vampire relentlessly hunting her, wanting to make her pay.
Wyatt’s devoted his life to running an ER and saving people, but he’s battling his own demons, the nightmares that remind him of his worst failure.
When Wyatt’s captured while saving Teagan, his human blinders are shattered by the supernatural reality surrounding him. Teagan struggles to trust another, a foreign concept to her. And they both realize there are even worse things to be afraid of.
Can they work together to overcome their pasts and find a future together? Will they allow their growing attraction to strengthen them, or will they fight it and let it destroy them both?
This is book 1 of the Love ReVamped series. It’s recommended that they be read in order. This is a fantasy romance between fated mates, including: hidden identity, kidnapping, forced proximity, and HEA included. This is told in the first person and dual point of views.
Due to sexual content, language, and touching on some traumatic events, this book is recommended for readers 18+.

Ahhh!! I got the chance to read this book as an ARC and I’m so grateful because I loved it! The beginning gave me crossover episode vibes between greys anatomy and vampire diaries - which are both of my favorite shows so obviously I was hooked! This book has so many great elements and was a very easy and enjoyable read. There was some great action within the book and the sexual tension was on point. The spice was the perfect amount of not too intense but still kept me intrigued!
Tilly gave me such Enzo vibes from vampire diaries and I literally loved his character, idk if that’ll be an unpopular opinion or not but I can’t wait to read the second book already!! Even if you don’t like fantasy as much, I would say this book isnt too intense with all the vampire stuff - especially cause the author put her own little spin on it! Definitely recommend giving this a read!!!
Started this book to prepare for the second! Very interesting turn on the vampires vibe! I enjoyed that, and have never read anything similar. I am usually not one for vampires.
Tilly’s character really drew me! There was a mystery/suspense aspect to the novel that I enjoyed! Some parts drug while others flew through, but overall I would 100% rec. if you want an easy fantasy read!
I can’t wait to see how the author DL Curran grows in her writing with the second book!!
WOW! WOW! WOW! Finished this book in less than two days. A little bit of everything! Mysterious creatures, love story, running away from actually and metaphorical things, rescue and more! A story of people learning how to lean on friends and learning how to trust again. Left me on a cliffhanger and I need the next book PRONTO!
Highly highly recommend! This author is VERY easy to read and is very easy to relate to the characters! I don’t know who to love most! out
Also I can’t wait to learn more about a certain someone that seems to be ancient and mystical!
Congrats on this book! Cant wait to check out more from this author!
I devoured this book. In less than 48 hours. Kalli has a way of just sucking you in. I felt like it was me at times. Granted I'm only human. Lol. But like a vampire learning to trust and seeing the journey within. It was a good read. Please can I have the next one now?
So, this book has potential as a series starter but I have some issues. Too short. Some books can be short and still tell a complete and great story, this book didn’t. Too little world building. I needed and was more interested in learning more about this world and its mythologies. Instant love. Not a fan. I want a little push and pull. A slow burn before it explodes. Overall this book was mediocre, but has promising potential
I really enjoyed this book. As a dark, angsty, romance reader, this book was a great palette cleanser. It still had love, the undeniable draw, and slightly dark elements. But mainly had this new idea of vampires. Well, they aren't vampires. They are Vanamisch. Vampire like qualities with some other crazy stuff... Like what happens if your mate dies!
The first few chapters had me hooked. Teagan and Wyatt's meeting and what soon happens after! I absolutely love Wyatt. A genuinely good soul. Then weirdo Tilly is added to the mix. I'm still trying to figure out what is going on with Tilly. But his epilogue dropped some interesting hints. Can't forget about Elena, Teagan's one and only friend. Though she only stars in the beginning of the book, the thought of her and finding her is carried throughout.
Again, back to that epilogue. I MUST find if what happens with Tilly and Elena! Overall, fun, enticing read.
This was an amazing quick read from an upcoming author. The writing style made everything so easy to follow.
A Self deprecating "vampire" learns not only to trust, but to release her self doubt in this "on the run". In teaming up with a hot MMC human doctor (who also has his fair share of trauma) to escape a kidnapping, they learn not only about each other, but themselves.
Wyatt and Teagan are an adorable yet hot & steamy pair. I can't wait for the next book in this series, so I can get to read about my Main Man, Tilly!
This was a solid 3.5-star read for me, but I’m rounding up because the premise was genuinely compelling and I read it all in one sitting.
Evolving Hope by Kalli O'Connor kicks off a series of interconnected standalones with a dark and intriguing concept: a vampire FMC captured by unknown forces trying to reverse her condition, while also being hunted by her own father who wants to torture her. It’s a premise that immediately pulled me in, and the plot kept me engaged throughout.
The romance unfolds slowly, with a fated mates connection that simmers in the background but isn’t openly acknowledged until very late in the story. I could feel the bond, but I would’ve loved a bit more focus on the emotional development earlier on.
What held me back from rating it higher was the ending. Given the setup and the fact that this is part of a series, I expected some kind of cliffhanger or continuation. Instead, the story wraps up with a neat HEA, which—while satisfying in its own way—felt a little rushed compared to the slower buildup.
Still, I enjoyed the worldbuilding and the characters enough that I’m curious about the next books. If you like darker paranormal romance with high-stakes tension and a slow-burn fated connection, this one’s worth checking out.
A hunted vampire with commitment issues, an ER doctor who’s a trauma magnet, and Tilly being… well, Tilly. From the very first page, you're thrown into a supernatural world full of emotional growth, sharp fangs, and sexual tension. Two people with heavy pasts find themselves caught in a whirlwind of violence and conspiracy. If they can survive long enough, maybe they’ll finally face what’s growing between them. This is not your standard vampire story.
Kalli delivers a fresh take on vampire folklore, stripping away the usual tropes and grounding her characters in a world that feels unnervingly real. You might find yourself eyeing your quiet barista a little differently… or questioning whether your thoughts are entirely your own.
Kalli’s writing is concise and vivid. She hits that sweet spot between detail and imagination. She paints just enough for your mind to take over and run with it. It’s fast-paced, cinematic, and totally absorbing. Grab your popcorn people!
Vampires with a twist, sexy human MMC and unhinged side characters? Sign me up! This book has a great plot of bonding over trauma, battling the bad guy and falling in love. Every chapter left me wanting more! Teagan and Wyatt have a connection from the beginning but neither of them realize how deep this connection goes… this book is loaded with sexual tension and a few nice spicy scenes (spicy level: 🌶️🌶️)
Then you have Tilly who is an unhinged side character who (quite literally) makes me laugh at his antics! Quite certain book 2 is going to be about him and I can not wait!!
Seriously though… when is the next book coming out?!
Teagan & Wyatt This story starts off with Wyatt needing to take care of Teagan, before he even knows who she is. Teagan has some bad luck throughout this story, With Wyatt's help, and a stranger she meets when they both need help the most. The stranger named Tilly was fantastic and I am looking forward to more of him in the future. Fantastic Vamp twist, I Loved It!!! No Spoilers! I received an ARC and I am Leaving this Totally Honest Review because I choose to and think that this is a FANTASTIC story!!! I Highly Recommend!
Teagan is strong and running & Wyatt has a Hero complex
The FMC, Teagan, has a lot of mystery surrounding her and we only get slight glimpses here and there when she interacts with other characters she’s shy but she wants to badly to form connections. With her best bud not even knowing her real name, and Wyatt interjecting himself, this is one wild ride.
Key points in no particular order -Teddy bear MMC with a hero complex -Past abuse -running away -familial death -fated mates -Dual POV -with an added POV for the Epilogue
I really enjoyed the different take on vampires in this book.
I’m very interested to find out what kind of Vanamish Tilly is since he doesn’t seem to be the same as Teagan. He actually ended up being my favorite character with all his weird quirks. I hope the next book is about him or has more of him in it!! Especially with that cliffhanger!
This was a unique read with relatable and likeable characters. It is unique as I have not read a story with this plot, which was 95% story with a little spice in a tastefully written way. The author does well in setting up the story/setting/dialogue. However , it did take me a little to get into the story and there were a couple of times I felt a little confused in the story. As the story continues, it becomes more complex and thrilling.
This was an interesting take on vampires, or Vanamisch as they're called. It was a thrilling paranormal romance with a touch of medical drama mixed in. Wyatt is my favorite, such a sweet soul... But Tilly, he's something else and I look forward to seeing him develop further.
This is everything I want in a paranormal romance: a broody, capable heroine on the run, a selfless hero with hidden scars, and a plot that mixes danger, passion, and redemption. Teagan and Wyatt’s chemistry practically crackles off the page, and their slow trust-building made the story even more satisfying.
Wow this book was so good! I loved this take on vampires! This book had everything, love, grief, suspense, action, it drew me in and I finished in less than 2 days! I couldn't put it down! Really looking forward to book 2!
A super fun read that introduced a twist to the classic Vampire. This was a fun, easy read that held my attention from beginning to end. I am definitely excited to learn more about Tilly in book two!
Such an amazing, good book! Thrilling, suspenseful, intense, heartwarming, spicy. So good that I couldn’t stop reading it. Such a good storyline and great characters.
This book is such a fun fast read. I love that it brings in medical components to a vampire world. It’s a fun take on the vampire world and I cannot wait to start the second book!
This is a very good book I'm not going to spoil anything but the characters just fit. Amazingly written and well thought it was an easy read for me. I loved it can't wait to read the next book. I recommend for any paranormal junky 18+ due to the explicit scenes...
Fresh and interesting take on a vampire romance. I appreciated that Kalli strayed away from the typical tropes in the genre.
There was a bit more focus on the medical aspects of the Vampires (Vanamisch, in Love ReVamped) and their origin which was a fresh take on the genre. They seemed a bit different than what I traditionally think of with Vampires. It allowed me to read the story without any pre-existing expectations of what a Vampire should or shouldn't be like.
The whole Ambassador system was neat. Very John Wick & I'm a huge fan.
I typically don't care much for forced proximity, but it worked well for the characters and the story. Without spoilers, there was logical build up to that forced proximity--technically, in two separate events.
Spice was there, but on the lighter side of what I've seen (God help me). The romance wasn't lacking, though. Teagan and Wyatt are 😩👌 Love me a MMC with a hero complex, and FMC was in need of the saving. Easy to love & root for.
I would have liked to see more conflict between the main characters and the 'Big Bad', Patrick. There was a lot of build up and fear about how strong he was and how detrimental his mindless pursuit was on Teagan's life. I felt a bit underwhelmed when the time came to actually face him. I would have liked to see a more drawn out fight, or maybe 1-2 smaller encounters / close calls throughout the book before the final event. The story was great, even without it though.
Overall, it was a fun read and I'll definitely be following up by reading Emerging Devotion. 👍 Can't wait to see some more of Tilly 🌶️Very happy to know I'll get to see more of that chaotic hunk 😤.
I really enjoyed this book. I had a hard time putting it down. It's a slow burn with suspense and heat. I would recommend reading this book! I really enjoyed how the writer added the details explaining the back story of the vampires. I can't wait to read more from this author!!
