I agreed to marry a bratva boss in exchange for him protecting my mother. The moment my paths crossed with Arsen Isakov, normality went out the window. I went along with his twisted plan of a fake marriage - all to keep my mother safe - and walked down the aisle towards him with my head held high.
Nothing prepared me for becoming pregnant with his child. Nothing prepared me to learn the dark truths of our shared past.
When I found out, I did the only thing I I ran.
Now, he's coming for me. And he won't stop until he has me back—back in his life, and back in his bed.
But I know something that I can't tell him.
Something that, if left alone, will destroy him. Something that, if he finds out, he'll destroy. Something that, if destroyed, will break me.
You must read Book 1 - SINFUL DEVOTION - in order to understand everything happening in SINFUL OBSESSION between Galina and Arsen.
This book contains scenes that may be disturbing to some readers.
I got through the first one and was like, ok. Maybe it will get better. I really tried to like this series, but every chapter it was, I hate you, or I love you. He constantly shows her how he would bend over backward for her, but she always goes behind his back. I really hated the women character in this book. To repetitive. I'm sorry 😞
Because of Galina's dumb ass decisions and absolute stupidity, I could not enjoy the story. The decisions she made and things she hid from Arsen, just ugh?!?!? She completely believed a pyschopath who raped and beat her mother instead of Arsen, who did none of those things. Please, how stupid can one FMC be? Also the way she treated her mom was ridiculous. Yelling and blaming her and Arsen for what happened. Please girl take some personal responsibility!!
If Galina wasn't a part of the book, it would have been a much better novel. I adored Mila, Usylenya, and Arsen. Yes he had his issues and distrust, but he genuinely tried with Galina. He tried to get her to open up and trust him. She just wouldn't listen. The other characters made the book so much better so for them, I'm giving this book 3 stars when I really want to give it 1.
I’m sorry, but this final book was completely unnecessary. You killed my brother and I don’t know the full story have sex with you. I love you. I’m scared you might kill my younger brother. Have sex with you. I love you. I get that this is a hard decision, but I want you to see where I’m coming from though I won’t give you the same thing back. Have sex I love you. I get that we have damsels in distress. But I surprisingly wished he would have coparent with her and never taken her back.
Ultimately to sum up, the story is saying you trust someone, then letting any thing ruin that trust, having sex, saying you love them in the moment, then mistrusting them again.
I don’t like to be negative or harsh normally in my reviews with books, but I guess as someone in this industry, having a book that I genuinely did not want to finish, but did solely to see if there was character development on her part. it just upset me. So if you want angst, and lack of character development from the Fl this book is good. but spoiler I feel like other than the beginning chapters and ultimately the part that shows characters development for her younger brother, everything else was unnecessary
I’m not liking Galina at all, the man who is raping and hurting her mother gives her a SIM card to use when she needs to in order to end this war. She then hides it claiming she doesn’t know whose side to be on…. Ok did Arsen rape you ? Did Arsen threaten your mother to keep you in line ? No Galina I didn’t think so, so why would you think which side you should be on. Yes both men haven’t told you the whole truth but at least Arsen isn’t a rapist, it bewilders me why authors make the lead female dumb as mud. Galina is acting like a spoilt brat and is really annoying me, right now I’m telling Arsen to kick her to the kerb as she is such a pain. Again this author has padded this book with repetitive inner thoughts and repetitive sex scenes to the point t where I have literally skipped the sex scenes so why have Galina keep repeating the same thing over and over, don’t you realise this bores the reader. She is letting him go to save her mother without even mentioning Ruslan why ?? This is a detail that could get Arsen or her mother hurt or killed as it will be a shock when Arsen sees him. Galina uses sex instead of talking to him, honestly she is really annoying me with her omission of the truth but I’m still waiting to see what happens when he finds out about the SIM card that she still hasn’t told him about at 60% in to this book. Honestly how thick is Galina going in to the bedroom and confronting him in front of his brigadiers, I have to say I really dislike her she is not only dangerous to Arsen but everyone else and what does she do… call Audrey and tells her that Arsen is going to commit murder. It’s a pity someone didn’t take Galina out right now the book would be better without her in it, sorry but that’s just how I feel. Everything she does protects the enemy of Arsen and I really hope he kicks her out when he finds out about her deceit. OMG the stunt Galina pulled on Yeremey at the cabin was disgusting and also texting Yevgeniy that Arsen was coming for him just shows where her loyalties lie. There wasn’t even a real discussion about her lies and betrayal by her going to Yevgeniy it was just swept away. I’m really not sure how the author thought any reader was going to like Galina with the lies, secrets, selfishness, manipulation and total bratty attitude, she is an awful female lead and if I’m honest she is the worst one I have come across after reading hundreds of books. I have read many books by this author and really enjoyed them but I always have to be honest in my feedback and I’m sorry but Galina is so unlikable. The only reason I have 3 stars is Arsen and if my feedback was on him alone it would have been 4 stars, Galina dropped my rating.
First I want to say that the conclusion to Arsen & Galina was really good, it had a lot of action, danger, & secrets. But Galina’s actions made it hard for me to like her. She constantly hid things f/Arsen & put not only herself & others in danger, but also her baby. She was selfish, conniving, secretive, & fell so easily into Yevgeniy trap. Even after everything she was told about the horrible things Yevgeniy did, she still had the nerve to compare Arsen to Yevgeniy & kept vital info f/him. What really had me disgusted was when she got caught repeatedly in lies, it was always Arsen apologizing to her, then she’d apologize for what she did. But in my opinion it was too late, because even after getting caught twice she still went behind Arsen’s back. All her lies did was protect the enemies. I find it really hard to like a heroine who jeopardizes her unborn child- repeatedly. Between her running in book 1, the Madison issue, her keeping Ruslan a secret, the SIM card, & faking a miscarriage to get out, it was all too much. I loved the story’s plot & I really loved Arsen, the side characters were enjoyable, but right until the end I couldn’t enjoy Galina.
I have a love-hate relationship with this series. I loved the storyline, but omg Galina was so frustrating to deal with. Her lack of fight and flight instincts and her constant stubbornness which just constantly led her to bad situations, I couldn't handle it. And the lack of communication between her and Arsen made me want to rip my hair out 😂 But the complexity of the story was beautiful! I was hooked although it took a while for me to understand what was happening in the 1st book.
Also, I LOVE MILA, SHE'S THE BEST 10/10 CHARACTER.
The second instalment of the Grachev Bratva series is one that doesn’t shy away from the brutality, secrecy and violence of the mafia world. It still adheres to the turbulent relationship of Arsen Kirilovich Isakov and Galina Stepanova Rubinova, however, different stakes are up in the air. For one, Galina’s main priority is to keep her child and mother safe, whilst, Arsen’s it to keep Galina and his unborn child safe. Whilst the two’s purpose may have similar drive, their differences keep the two far apart and cause significant conflict in their relationship. Especially now when there is a surprise addition to the Grachev empire, an individual that Yevgeniy is using against Galina.
Brook Wilder still provides readers contemporary moments where we witness Galina completing mundane tasks. Readers hold onto scenes such as Arsen cooking for Galina or Galina researching baby furniture to depart from the greivances of the ongoing war.
Over the two instalments, I’ve come to the realisation that Galina is the perfect portrayal of a mafia princess. An everyday citizen who is now thrown into the mafia world exhibits all emotions and reactions as to what Galina portrays. Whilst some may say she is submissive to Arsen’s antics, I would strongly disagree—Galina’s resilience and strong voice is the active force towards the end to the mafia war. Her integrity maintains throughout the novel despite, being compromised and betrayed by several characters. She ultimately mimics Mila, who though came from a terrible upbringing, is a sophisticated assassin with a deep integrity.
The finale to the Grachev series is one that keeps the reader at the edge of their seat the whole time. As mentioned prior, Brook Wilder does not attempt to make the audience content at any moment and instead, inserts harsh truths, conflict and gunfire in almost every chapter. However, the ending to the ongoing war is extremely satisfying. Readers finally receive a peaceful Arsen and Galina who enjoy a vacation in bliss, with the turbulence of Yevgeniy far behind them. ‘Sinful Obssession’ is an immersive art that explores all avenues of the Bratva, with a pen that maintains its integrity throughout. Would highly recommend!!
OMG LMAO I DIDN'T EXPECT TO READ A BOOK THIS BAD THIS YEAR!
Should've just left it at book one... author dug a grave with this trash. There were some things that I was gna overlook in book one cause I didn't finish it but this FMC is so annoying. So she lies to people then acts like the victim... then she flip flops and forgets about her mom while her mom gets SA'ED... Then she thinks that Ruslan is evil, but when MMC asks about Ruslan taking after the villain guy, she screams at him that he's just a kid. Like midway through I was rooting for her downfall so I could be over with this trash of a book. She's so useless and only causes trouble that tbh itbroke my immersion and by the last 80 pages where things actually happen? Yeah I read 2 words from each page and skipped :) I hate you for wasting my time <3
other things: - pacing sucks - boring plot - unoriginal - pretentious writing - shallow characters - repetition - forgetting plot lines - dragged on - Dead romance 3 (don't feel anything btwn MCS) - FMC is nothing but trouble!! Still mad about this bruh - MMC is better off dating the corpse of his dead wife than Galina
Do I recommend? NOOOO STAY AWAY FROM THIS BOOK AT ALL COSTS, IT'S NOT WORTH IT EVEN IF YOU'VE READ BOOK 1 AND ARE CURIOUS, LITERALLY IT'S 400 PAGES OF FLUFF!! DON'T READ IT, I'M SAVING YOU A LOT OF TIME WITH MY SACRIFICE :')
I loved the exciting ending to Galina and Arsen's story! There was lots of action and a few heart stopping moments that kept me on the edge of my seat. It was an intense journey for our main characters.
I still liked Galina but she did make some foolish decisions that I disagreed with. I think her heart was in the right place but she failed to think things all the way through. I did like that even with all she had seen and been through, she still tried to see the good in everyone. That is admirable.
I loved Arsen. He was so protective and caring towards Galina. He would burn the world down for her. He has grown so much as a character and I really enjoyed how he was so in touch with his feelings. He wasn't afraid to be vulnerable in front of Galina.
I read this almost in one sitting because I didn't want to put it down. The action kept me hooked and all the twists kept me guessing on what was going to happen. It was an exciting story that I really enjoyed. I would definitely recommend it!
Time and time again I review the same remarks on these bratva books - "long drawn out books" with a plot not heavy enough to carry a second! This is exactly the case in this duet series. The first one was good but drawn out, but merge into one instead of two and it would have been so much better. So Galina is kidnapped by her biological father who is of course the Head of the Bratva Arsen removed. The plot waffles on after she is released by her father (who knows why he released her - pointless) of internal dialogue Galina wondering if Arsen killed a child and will he kill her brother, and Arsen wondering if Galina will betray him. The majority of the book is them having sex, the ending is awful - so they go on honeymoon leaving a newborn behind, no mention of what became of Ruslen, did Arsen forgive him for shooting him - dreadful and not worth my time.
Grrr I’m not sure if I liked this book more than the first or if I hated it because she just seems so freaking dumb in this book. Like for goodness sakes you’re freaking pregnant, try being smarter about your decisions. Like not answering a freaking door when no one is supposed to know is where you are. Then when she finally gets back to Arsen even though she happy to be back she refuses to ask about what the monster says to her, she keeps it bottle up until it has literally consumed her whole, just to find out that it wasn’t how she was told, but then she still too scared to tell him about the other secret she holding. This book hurt me so badly that I didn’t wanted to finish it even if I knew there was a happy ending. I was just so frustrated with the constant arguing and stupid decisions Galina made!!!
The rage I felt at the FMC is insane. She's entitled and ungrateful. She kept betraying him but then expected him to keep helping her. And him never once feeling like he can't trust her and actually being upset and angry over that wasn't demonstrated at all. MMC is a complete pushover. He was like a puppy; no matter how inconsiderate FMC, his emotions will never change. This is one of the few times where I hated everyone in the story and wished them dead. The members of his bratva were 100% right when they said MMC was weak because of the stupidity of his wife.
What if Ruslan had killed MMC? He would have been right but dead. FMC would have condemned everyone to death and/or suffering, including her own child, because she was too stupid to use her brain.
And what happened to her stalker? Nobody knows. MMC and FMC are oblivious fools.

Recommended for 18 and older as book is mostly descriptive sex acts with very little action befitting a Bratva book. Started off with a debt owed and a dance studio being offered for sale as payment. The young woman Galina was confused and confusing. She disliked Arsen but let him bed her before they exchanged last names. Then she betrayed him multiple times before and during their overnight marriage. She became pregnant the first time he touched her. As a matter of fact the story seems to take place in nine months. There are twists and turns, side characters pop up, new relatives are discovered and things get more confusing as the story gets longer and longer. The only constant is the sex. Becomes boring so stopped reading. Did not hold my interest.
Usually, the 2nd book in a duet redeems the story for me if I didn't like the first one. Not so much in this case.
Galina is fricking annoying as all get out. She makes stupid choice after stupid choice, putting herself and everyone else in danger.. And then wonders why Arsen doesn't trust her.
Arsen - wtf man?? You're Pakhan - how does Galina keep getting one over on you my dude? Where's your top of the line security? Where's your built in BS detector??
Also.. they picked a stupid name for the baby. 🫣
I usually complain about the wrap up and the end feeling rushed.. This was the complete opposite, it was taking too long. I just skimmed the last 5 chapters.
I can say with a resounding "Yes, it most certainly was"!
I loved the second book, it was wrapped up in the best way possible. All the different strands were woven into a crescendo worthy of the most uplifting ballet. Arsen & Galina have the kind of love that, unfortunately, can only exist in the pages of fiction. It would be wonderful to experience the intensity of that sort of passion but reading about it does the soul good. I've experienced glimpses of it myself but it never seems to last, unfortunately.
This was escapism of the very best kind & I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
Thank you to a Brook Wilder for allowing me to read this book in advance. This book kept me guessing on what was going to happen next the whole time. Even tho Galina kept on being naive glad she finally realized that Arsen would go above and beyond. The spiciness did not disappoint either. Good read overall.
I didn’t know if my emotions were going to let me get through this one. I laughed, I cried(a lot) and was on the edge of my seat the entire time!! But this was such a great ending to this duet. It got the ending Galina and Arsen deserved. I highly recommend reading this duet if you are a mafia/bratva fan!
As usual in a trilogy, the first book is better. This is the same situation. More sex then action. The action was up and down. This mafia leaded came as week to his men. They loved the violence. They never realized they where fighting to correct the wrong. The book could have been shorter and the major points wouldn't have been missex.
This series should be called “how to say nothing in 10million words”, or “Galina, the mist idiotic FMC in a mafia series”. How does he still have any ounce of trust in her? I would keep her in the basement and throw the key ffs. You know , when they say “the book has no plot” they should read this books and reconsider.
I have enjoyed this book just as much as book1.It didn't take me long to finish it that's how exciting it for me.Take the journey and let Brook Wilder show you what you have been missing. HAPPY READING EVERYONE.
The first book was ok, I had hoped this book would be better, sadly it was not. As the book wore on I wanted to slap Galina throughout, she was so annoying and stupid sometimes. The book seemed looonnnggg!
I really wanted to like this series. Female lead was annoying in the first book but this took it to another level. I like many other series by this author so I saw it through to the end but it was absolutely a challenge.
Galina I didn't like. . All, that Arsen did, risking his life. I found her to be selfish. She continued to keep secrets, almost getting him kicked. Otherwise. The book was OK
The story line is great in both books. The problem is everything is dragged out and keeps repeating to the point of annoyance. Arsen was supposed to be some big bad bratva boss but was stepped all over by Galina.
Can Galina make Arsen see that she is on his side?
This is book two in the Grachev Bratva and it is a great read!! Aresen wants his family safe but will he do something that Galina can't forgive in order for everyone to be safe?
