Born and raised in a small town in the heart of Kansas, Jennifer grew up with a love of reading and writing. It wasn’t until college that she began to seriously focus on the craft of writing (B.A. and M.A. in English, with focuses on Creative Writing). She also studied writing for children and teenagers at the Institute of Children’s Literature.
A nationally ranked heptathlete who trained for the 2008 Olympic Trials, Jennifer enjoys sharing her love of sports through coaching. Currently living in the DFW area, she moonlights as an English teacher while writing the stories that play in her mind. In her free time, Jennifer loves spending time with family, watching movies, shopping for more books, and adhering to the demands of the four-paw creatures who run her household.
