It’s hard for me to imagine that I’ve been writing romances for over twenty years now! I started at the young age of 21, just after I got married. Reading romances, and then writing them, came about as a result of having too much time on my hands. When I first married my husband Don, I was working a regular nine to five job and he worked swing shift, from four in the afternoon until midnight. It wasn’t an ideal schedule for newlyweds, and in order to pass those hours when I was alone I started reading romances, and eventually tried my hand at writing them.
The road to publication wasn’t an easy one. It took me five years and dozens of rejections to make my first sale, which was to Harlequin for their “Stolen Moments” line. THE FAMILY MAN, written under the pseudonym Danielle Kelly, was one of the twelve novellas published in 1993 for this promotional line.

It took me another two and a half years (and more rejections!) to sell my second book. HEAVEN’S GIFT (written under my own name) was published in October 1995 by Leisure Love Spell for their “An Angel’s Touch” series. Another two years passed of collecting even more rejections before I finally sold to Harlequin Romance and Harlequin Temptation. At the time, writing for both Temptation and Harlequin Romance provided me with a wonderful creative outlet for both my modern, ultra-sexy stories, and my warmer, traditional romances. But as the years passed, I realized how much I enjoyed writing the sexier stories and streamlined my career accordingly so that I was no longer writing the sweet traditional romances, and instead focused on the hotter, sexier stories for Temptation and Blaze.

After writing over two dozen books for Harlequin, I decided to branch out. I wanted to write anthologies and single titles, and came up with an idea about three sexy brothers with the last name of “Wilde”. Little did I know that those Wilde brothers would become such a sensation with readers. In the second Wilde book, WILDE THING, four Wilde cousins were introduced, and readers started writing in for their stories, too. It’s been a joy and pleasure to write each of the Wilde stories, and I want to thank everyone for purchasing those books and putting them on the USA Today Bestseller list!

I’ve been a full-time writer for years, which consists of being deep in deadlines, writing proposals (growling at the husband to fix a glitch in the computer so I can get back to work!), perusing contracts, line-edits (stressing over a scene that won’t work or characters that just won’t talk or cooperate with my plans for them!), galleys, art-fact sheets, promotion, and other publishing paperwork. Admittedly, I wouldn’t trade all the craziness in for pantyhose, rush hour traffic, and a nine-to-five job again. Writing is hard work, but I find the rewards are well worth the effort. Fan letters are one of those priceless rewards, and can keep me on a high for days! I’ve met the most wonderful people through my books, some of which I now consider good friends.

Hero doesn’t give a shit about the heroine over the two years she has worked for him… but then she gets a makeover and he suddenly can’t stop drooling over her. He was attracted to her before the makeover but was determined to ignore her and clearly she was easily ignorable since he did it for two years. Even more depressing, is that she’s totally clueless with men and has been in love with the hero since she was a teenager and met him for the first time. I’m sure seeing him date other women for over a year would have been great for her.

He was a manwhore in past but celibate for 6months
Heroine seemingly has never been with a man… so either virgin or near to

Melodie and Cole were a hot read.

I love that they were both attracted to one another, but both thought, for their own reasons, that they shouldn't be together.

And then Melodie decided that maybe, just maybe, if her boss wasn't going to be the one she ended up with, maybe she should make some changes. And, a man can only take so much...and the woman he can barely keep his hands off of going out, looking hot, and looking to meet men is over that line.

This one was as hot and as fun as you wanted it to be. And, while the relationship evolved quickly, it was believable and you definitely believed in the chemistry of the characters.

i enjoyed and recommend this title.

Hot and Heavy is the 2nd stand-alone book in the Some Like it Hot series by Erika Wilde. The series features the Sommers' siblings. Cole is Joelle's brother from Hot and sexy and Melodie is his assistant who has been pinning for him for a long time. When Cole is in need of a date for one of his cases, she is offering her services, but he refuses to accept them and Melodie decides to go all in and prove him that she is the one he needs.

I liked Melodie. She is feisty and I always love a woman who goes for what she wants. Cole on the other hand was not always my favorite person. I wanted to hit him with some of his files and make him see how dense he was. That man can be very stubborn to a frustrating point.

The book was a good buddy on a hot June afternoon. I liked this one better than the previous book. I thought that both the mystery and the characters were better developed, even if Cole was frustrating sometimes. I would recommend the book.

Hot and Heavy is the second book to give us the sizzle in this series. This is Cole & Melodie's story.
Cole is a man on a mission. Make his P.I firm stand out above the rest. This firm is mostly a family affair having his sister and his brother working with the exception ofhis lovely assistant Melodie. Melodie is Cole's right hand woman. She has become accustom to his grumpy, gruff, by the book ways. He is so caught up that he doesn't see what is right in front of him.....Melodie. When need at work arises to let her out of the office and play his partner he is not for it. When she decides a bit of a attitude adjustment and outward makeover may be on the menu to make him see her ways . Can this work relationship turn the tables and become so much more? Melodie has spunk, determination and is quite persuasive when she is called out ! Cole is not going to know what hit him.

Melodie has had it bad for her boss for so long she can't remember a time when she didn't fantasize about him. Unfortunately for her, Cole sees her as his prim assistant and daughter of his mentor, and NOTHING else. So why is she so determined to get him to see her the way she sees him? Asking Cole's sister to help her give her style a redo just might be the ticket to capturing Cole's attention outside of the office and get him to see her as not just an attractive woman, but just might make him take her seriously when she tells him she wants to help him tackle some of the cases his PI firm keeps taking on. Her plan will either make him see her in the same light she sees him, or backfire and turn him off. Either way, she's set on her boss and nothing's going to stop her.

Cole took on the role of father to his siblings, took on all that responsibility, so that all his focus has been caring for them and making their firm a success. So now that they're all adults and no longer need him to be the pseudo parent, maybe it's time for Cole to have some fun, take pleasure in life. His gorgeous assistant could help him with that, if only he'd let her, if only he'd forget the promise he made his mentor...

I gotta just say right off the bat how much I love Melodie. She's sweet and knows what she wants. And I felt for her as Cole unintentionally jerked her around with his hot and cold attitude. Honestly, I wanted her to smack him and dump him just to shake his stupid ass up a little. Thankfully for him he finally came around and gave into his feelings, and not a moment too soon! Sheesh, men... This has been a great series so far - sexy, sweet, with heart, and Cole and Melodie are just as great a couple as Dean and Joelle are in Hot and Sexy. And brother Noah's story is up next, Hot and Bothered. I can't wait to read it!

Erika Wilde captivates in this flirty, fabulous, sexy and smoldering tale! Throw in some legit hilarious banter, enough steam to raise your blood pressure...Cole and Melodie's slow-burn love story is the PERFECT way to spend a few hours of "me" time!

Melodie Turner can't remember a time when she WASN'T in love with Cole Sommers...and since she's been working for him as his secretary for two years, things have just gotten more, shall we say, interesting? Cole has no clue whatsoever how his dependable secretary feels about him. He DOES feel an attraction to her but shuts down THOSE thoughts immediately. After all, Melodie is his mentor's daughter and he CAN'T cross that line! When Melodie has finally had enough and decides to go after what she wants, the results are EXPLOSIVE!!!

Hot and Heavy is the second standalone in the Some Like it Hot series and I LOVED it! This is pure Erika Wilde at her best!

Oh my! We knew when Cole finally saw Melody for more than just the sweet secretary he was going to bust a gasket! Mel has been in love with Cole for years and working for him and quietly and conservatively but when a case comes up needing a female to accompany Cole who is sophisticated and intelligent she wants in but Cole turns her down. What is she to do but make a few changes...to her hair, her wardrobe, and her mannerisms. Instead of sweet Melody she is now naughty Melody and sending Cole erotic notes and turning his world upside down. Will he survive the change? Will she?

Hot and Heavy is book 2 in the Some Like It Hot series by Erika Wilde and oh my...another hot, sexy read!

Melodie, office assistant and girl Friday for Sommers PI has been attracted to Cole, her boss for sometime but because her father has been his mentor he’s determined to only see her as his assistant. Melodie decides to up her game in all areas so after a few changes she is not longer the quiet, efficient woman he works with but a sexy, confident, take charge woman...

Oh my, what happens next will keep you turning pages, giggling, swooning, and so much more. Will Cole survive the changes? Only time will tell...

I loved how Melodie went after what she wanted. It was interesting how she went about changing from a quiet, submissive woman to a bad girl, sexy woman. It was funny how the change affected Cole. Cole is such a good guy and has taken care of his brother and sister as well as others he cares for. Even though he is a handsome guy, he is too serious. He also feels such a debt to Melodie’s father, he can’t see what’s in front of his face! This is a steamy book that I encourage you to read. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.

Definitely hot and heavy! I loved Melodie's determination to go after what she wanted. She wanted her boss, Cole, but he only saw her as his secretary and he promised her father he would look out for her. Melodie was tired of waiting for something to happen so she took matters into her own hands, with help from Cole's sister. Would Cole react the way Melodie hoped, or was she stuck as just being his secretary? I can't wait to read Noah's story!

Everything I love in a quick, hot romance
5 stars

I have been looking forward to Cole and Melodie’s story since they appeared in the first book in this series, Hot and Sexy. That book teased an unrequited love between the sensible and efficient secretary, Melodie, and her grumpy, by-the-book (clueless) PI boss, Cole. But the whole love story of the pair starts in this book so you don’t need to have read the first book to read, enjoy and understand this one. You should go and grab it anyway, as it’s every bit as good as this one.

I loved Melodie as a character. Although she’s initially quite mousy, I felt that was more in appearance than in her heart. In her heart, she was a naughty little vixen. And when she decides to make some changes in her life, and go after what she really wants (with a little help from an unfortunately fictional self-help book, The Good Girl’s Guide to Being Bad) boy, does she go all in! New wardrobe, new attitude, new ways to torture Cole.

Cole is my hero catnip. He’s big, broody, gruff and he knows his own mind and what he wants. Which makes it so much more wonderful to watch him first having “impure” thoughts about his secretary (both before and after her transformation). He really, really doesn’t want to - he's in charge of himself and his feelings, after all - but ha ha, he has no say when it comes to love and Melodie! And if it sounds like I like to see my heroes tortured - you’d be completely right!

This is Erika Wilde so of course this book is super sexy. Not only do we get the delightful shenanigans between Cole and Mel - including one time in a hot tub...yum - but because of a case that they’re working on, there are also a few erotic love notes written mostly to Cole from Mel. While that was also hot, it was the adorably romantic note that Cole writes towards the end that really melted my heart. When a grumpy broody hero falls, he falls hard.

As always, Ms Wilde writes in a style that is so effortless, you can forget you’re actually reading rather than just being part of the story itself. She combines superb pacing - you never get bored with this book, and witty banter and dialogue with a perfect blend of sex and love. So now all we need do is wait for the third in the series, Hot and Bothered, featuring bad boy Noah. I can’t wait!

Hot and Heavy is a steamy office romance that took a bit of work from one determined woman. Melodie Turner had always been the dependable, efficient, prim, and proper Secretary for Cole Sommers PI agency. Secretly though she harbored a pretty huge crush on her boss, one which he was oblivious to. It was definitely not for her lack of trying to pique an interest from him either.

Yet, unbeknownst to her Cole secretly had fantasies of the two of them. But it was something that he would never act on due to his close relationship to her dad. Her dad had been a mentor to Cole after the death of his own dad, who was killed in the line of duty. Cole would be forever indebted to him for that as well has all the help he had been to him starting his PI agency as well as

Well this left Melody with taking things into her own hands. Operation “New Me” begins!! With the help from Cole’s sister she sets out to find a new Melodie. First getting a new wardrobe, new hair style and a new attitude. She was going to get Cole’s attention one way or the other!! Aww, was Cole on for a surprise!!

When the “New” Melodie showed up at work she was unrecognizable. And boy was Cole in for a surprise too!! The hidden temptress was on the prowl. Taking advantage of her new look she also tried to get some kind of a reaction from her boss. Needless to say, when an opportunity arose for Cole to need a gorgeous, sophisticated partner to help on a case she wanted a chance to do it. Just maybe it would be the chance for her to prove to Cole she could be something more than just his secretary.

When she got no reaction from him, she was off for an evening of dancing and fun! It was when his brother told him where she had gone for the evening that Cole really got his dander up. Furthermore, finding her dancing and flirting with guys in the club kind of made him a lot possessive. It was tie for Cole to take control of her evening.

What happens next, I will leave up to your imagination!!

Hot and Heavy was a quick, read with lots of laughs and steam!!

In “Hot and Heavy” you have a secretary that has been in love with her boss for years and now it’s time to get his attention. Melodie has been working for Cole and has had a crush for far longer. A case that he is working on gives her an opportunity to show him there is more to her than innocent Melodie. Their relationship starts to shift in a new direction that has Cole spinning. Melodie is doing everything she can to seduce him and show him she is the right person for the job. Cole is not easily persuaded but he cannot deny the chemistry they have. Cole is all about working and taking care of those he loves. Melodie threatens his carefully laid plans of being alone which scares him. Can Melodie help him see that there is more to life than being alone or will her run her off?

For my observation on the characters, to which I have found Cole to stubborn and sexy. Melodie is also stubborn, a little needy and I was not a fan. I did not quite get why she would change her appearance and go through so much trouble to seduce Cole. The way she went about it just did not sit well with me. Something else was missing from her personality and I wish she just would have stayed the one I was reading about right from the first page. Cole was always so quick to fight his attraction right from the beginning and it did not matter what she wore. I am all about going after what you want I just wanted Melodie to maybe go about it a different way. That is my only issue because the story line and scenes flowed perfectly from page to page. It was a quick easy read that will leave you wanting to know what is going to happen with the other characters in the story.

Cole Sommers has always done the right thing. He dropped everything when his Dad died to take care of his younger brother and sister. Now that they’re all adults, they work together as Private Investigators in a firm that Cole heads up. This man is all work and no play. Two years ago, Cole agreed to hire the daughter of his father’s Sergeant as their Secretary.

For two years, Melodie Turner has been a great employee and the subject of Cole’s fantasies. Since Melodie’s father asked him to look out for her, he’s kept a hands off approach. When a case comes up that requires Cole to have a sexy female companion with him, Melodie wants the job, but Cole’s not having it. On the outside, Melodie might look prim and proper, but inside is a woman’s who’s had her own fantasies about Cole since she started at the firm.

To convince Cole it should be her; Melodie sets out to change her outside appearance, while setting her desires in motion. Cole does everything he can do to resist, but finds himself losing the battle. What will Melodie’s father say if he finds out that Cole has been lusting after his daughter? Will Melodie be able to pull off this job to get the information they need for their client? Will Cole finally admit that he needs a woman in his life to make it more complete? The sparks between these two just fly off the page.

Let me just say I wanted Melodie and Cole's story from the moment I started the first book in the Some Like It Hot series. Melodie has been in love with Cole for years, and Cole feels protective of her so much so, he protects her from himself. This work-place romance was total catnip for me!

Melodie has always been pretty prim and proper, but she wants to actually help out with the newest case, and not just stay the secretary. I love that she decided to mix things up and has a makeover to bring out the sexier side of herself that has always been there, just not in how she dressed. I do think the way Cole's eyes just about popped out of his head, proved she took the right actions to kickstart a love affair.

Cole is such a honorable, responsible and protective person, and he always puts his needs on the back burner to make sure everyone around him gets what they need. I loved how he tried to fight his attraction to Melodie when she reinvented herself. The fact that he had been attracted to her when she was all prim and proper made me love him even more. Watching Cole fall was such fun! He and Melodie had scorching hot chemistry, and I absolutely loved them as a couple. Melodie seemed to be just the person Cole needed in his life to let go of all his responsibility once and while and just live for the moment.

Hot and Heavy is the perfect read for fans of scorching hot work-place romances. Ms. Wilde takes readers on a sexy and emotional roller coaster and I enjoyed every minute of the ride.

Hot and Heavy is the second book in the Some Like it Hot trilogy. These stories are about three siblings, all who work at the family owned private investigative agency. It can be read as a standalone book.

Cole became responsible for his brother and sister when he was 21 and his father died in the line of duty as a police officer. He went to college full time, worked full time to support his siblings and was mentored by the sergeant from his Dad's police force, Richard, who became like a second father. Now he runs Sommers Investigative Specialists with is siblings, Joelle (Jo) and Noah. Years of building a family and business have left Cole with a workaholic personality and no desire to start and raise a family of his own.

Melodie has worked for the last two years as the secretary for the PI firm. Her Dad, Richard, helped her get the job. Melodie has had a long time crush on Cole and arrives early and stays late to assist him but he never sees her as anything but his mentor's daughter. Melodie is 28 and tired of always being the good girl and doing what is expected of her while having no fun. She wants to be allowed to help in the field some with investigations. She wants Cole to finally see her as a sexy and capable woman. She's willing to make the changes in her looks, dress and assertiveness to make it happen.had

Watch out world, here comes the new Melodie and Cole doesn't stand a chance but he's sure going to try to put up a fight

Hot and Heavy is a dual point of view story following a secretary at a private investigation firm, Melodie, and her boss, Cole. I was first introduced to Erika Wilde with Hot And Sexy and absolutely adored that book. She does not disappoint with Hot And Heavy.

Melodie is a prim and proper woman who never lets her hair down. She’s dependable and exceeds expectations wherever she goes. She’s sick of it. She wants to let her freak flag fly and finally catch the eye of the man she’s loved since she was a little girl. She also wants to be seen as more than a secretary and have a hand in private investigation herself.

Melodie undergoes a transformation, letting her insecurities fly away as she opens her mind into being the bad bitch she’s always dreamed of being. She’s bold and goes after exactly what she wants. Unbeknownst to Cole, he is exactly who she’s had her eyes on from the get go..He just never saw her as anything more than his secretary and the daughter of the man who saved him. Can she prove to Cole that she’s more than what meets the eye?

Unbeknownst to Melodie, she’s untouchable to Cole. Cole has internal debates on what’s right and wrong when it comes to Melodie. He feels he owes the world to her father and in doing that, has to protect her from himself.

Terrific office romance with wonderful characters. The oldest of the Sommers family, Cole, is so use to taking care of his younger siblings and being the responsible one as head of their P.I. firm, that he's turned into a boring guy. His terrific office admin, Melodie, has plans to change that as well as her boring life. Too long the good girl she's ready to unleash her inner sex kitten to get the job of assisting Cole for a client and maybe have a chance with him. Her plan goes into high gear and it's working but Cole is still resistance because of Mel's father, his mentor. I love the Sommers family and their interesting P.I. firm. Cole is a boss and a sexy man especially when he unleashes on Melodie during her sweet and sexy seductions. Mel is fabulous as the sweet woman ready to get her man, take care of herself and advance at work. Loved her when she went out of her comfort zone as a sexy siren. This is an easy read with a sweet romance and sizzling chemistry between Cole and Mel. A good addition to this series about the Sommers family. I can't wait for the next installment with the sexy flirt, Noah. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.

4 1/2 hot and heavy stars!
Cole Sommers is stubborn, grumpy and is completely oblivious to the hearts swimming in his secretaries eyes. Melodie Turner has had a crush on Cole for over a decade and that crush has only grown since she's worked for him the past two years.

When a case comes through that requires the help of a woman, Mel throws her hat in the ring. The chance to work closely with Cole is something she's wanted for a long time and she's wanted to get more involved with the PI firm. When Cole continues to turn her down Mel decides to turn her good girl persona off and finally unleash the bad girl that lives inside.

Cole has a hard time separating the new Mel from the old Mel. He's been attracted to her for a long time, but he made a promise to her father to always look after her, but once she unleashes the new her he has a hard time saying no and keeping that promise.

When they eventually give in, could it be a mistake, one that neither will ever come back from? Cole and Mel may work well together, but are they a love match?

Hot and Heavy by Erika Wilde is book Two in the Some Like it Hot Series. This is the story of Cole Sommers and Melodie Turner. I have read the previous book which did add to my enjoyment of this one but I thought it can be a standalone book. Cole had to step up to take care of his younger siblings so he has always been a protector. Of course now they are adults but he still doesn't stop his protective instincts. So when his mentor ask that he be protective of Melodie who would be his assistant he of course took that role very seriously. Now a few years later, the PI business is busy and Cole is finding it harder and harder to not act on his desire for Melodie. Melodie has had feelings for Cole from the start but wants him to see her for more than his assistant...she would even like to help him on his case. So when he is in need of a female partner on a case she acts on it by starting to make changes on the outside to make him become aware of her and hopefully someone he can't turn away from. Really enjoyed this steam read! I can't wait to read more from this author!

Cole and Mel are on fire!! The attraction is intense and has been smoldering for two years. However Cole always thought Mel was untouchable to him due to her being the daughter of his mentor and father like figure in his life. Melodie of course had different ideas.

Mel has loved Cole for awhile now and has decided to step it up and show him. Plus she wants to be in on a case and knows she can do the job. She wants to be more than just a secretary.

Mel seduces Cole and Cole just can't resist Mel, although he tries so, so hard to. The hot tub scene comes to mind of how hot and sexy these two are.

Cole has always said he doesn't want a family of his own, since he raised his siblings on his own for so long, but can Mel change his mind and offer what he doesn't know he has always wanted deep down? Someone to have him in their thoughts and concerns and to be there for him?

Loved Cole and Mel's story! It was so hot, intense, and real. I can't wait for Noah's story next.

What a fun, flirty read Cole and Melodie were. Melodie is smart, beautiful and knows what she wants and she wants Cole. She’s been working for him for a while and she just can’t get him to notice her. Cole, well, he’s the oldest and took care of his siblings growing up and wants no part of a relationship, family or kids for that matter, no commitments that how he likes it. There’s something about Melodie that draws him to her, but she’s off limits, he’s made a promise to her father and that bond can’t be broken.

When an opportunity arises for Melodie to be part of the team she goes all out and changes things up a bit, little did Coke know the lengths she would go to get her man. Will Cole be able to resist her charms or will he give into his desires? These two were so much fun to read. Melodie is a siren deep down, sultry, sexy and feisty, poor Cole had no idea what was coming his way. Loved this book and can’t wait for Noah’s story. I received a copy of this book.

Every attempt that Melodie has made to show her boss how she feels about him have yielded no results so desperate times call for desperate measures. With the help of her secret weapon, who also happens to be Cole’s sister, she is not only going to transform her appearance but her attitude as well and attract the attention of the only man she has ever loved.

Cole has a firm moral compass and has always been there whenever anyone needed him. Not only is Melodie his employee, but she is also the daughter of the man who became his biggest supporter. He has always been attracted to her but when they find themselves working together on an investigation, they may just find out they make the perfect partners both personally and professionally.

I really enjoyed these two together as Melodie is a woman on a mission when it comes to Cole and although Cole had his reservations once he gave into his love for her he was all in.

This is Book 1 in The Some Like it Hot Series

This is the story of Cole & Melodie. Cole is a P.I. Melodie works for him. She's been in love with him for twelve years, since she was sixteen years old when she first met him. She started working for him two years ago. He hired her as a favor to his father's friend and mentor after his father passed away. Now she decides to do something about it. She has an idea that could kick start it all. Cole promised her father he would protect her. He's been thinking about her as well for the past few months. Will he give in to her advances? How long can he hold out? This book is loaded with electricity between them. He's leary about getting involved with Melodie because he is full of responsibly towards her because of her father. He has had responsibility from the time he was 21. He raised his two siblings. Attraction and anticipation is all over this book. It's a great read from Erika Wilde.

Cole runs Sommers Investigative Specialist with his brother and sister. He raised them after his parents died and is overly protective. He gets a case and he needs a date to go to a charity event with. Melodie is the daughter of his mentor and his secretary and also in love with Cole. She wants to get more involved and suggests she be his date. He adamantly refuses, so she sets out to change his mind. She has a total makeover and Cole is stunned by the changes but still refuses. She openly flirts and is determined to seduce him but will she be able to get him to see her as more than just a secretary?
Sexual tension and a woman determined to get what she wants. The guy who is a little uptight and still over protective of his loved ones. Loved it and can’t wait for brother Noah’s story.

I have been looking forward to Hot and Heavy since I met Melodie and Cole in the first book of the series. Melodie works as a secretary in Cole's PI firm. She has feelings for him, but he won't acknowledge an attraction to her due to his close relationship with her father. Melodie wants to play a bigger role in the firm and in Cole's life. Cole's siblings help her with her plan to show him a different side of herself. Can Cole resist when Melodie pulls out all the stops to seduce him?

Overall, I enjoyed the book. Melodie and Cole had a lot of chemistry and there were some very hot scenes. The one part that I felt a little uneasy about was how much Melodie changed her appearance and attitude to win Cole over. However, I did appreciate that she realized that the changes weren't quite her and made some adjustments. I am looking forward to reading the third book in the series.

A sizzling, spicy read! TL:DR: A secretary hears her boss needs a sexy, intelligent woman to accompany him on a mission to save a woman’s reputation from her ex-lover. Melodie has lusted HARD over her boss for years, and decides to prove who Cole needs for the job, by fixing up her appearance and attempting to seduce him. Cole on the other hand doesn’t want to betray her fathers trust in him by bedding his daughter, and thus only sees Melodie as his secretary.

Lots of sex in this one, and it was a pretty good concept for the plot. I thoroughly enjoyed it up until Melodie suddenly decides she’s gonna go to the club to get laid, and is thus gonna tell off Cole even though pages before she was still head over heels for him. It just felt like it was inserted into the story for drama, but it felt rather weird with Cole basically kidnapping her and bringing her home to his house (where she did not want to be). He literally handcuffs her to his car, and has this weird idea that Melodie can’t take care of herself and is being too reckless, where all she’s really doing is showing her frustration with Cole’s obstinance and deciding she needs some fun.
