This was such a cool read! I'm not lying when I say, as much as I was gobsmacked by the previous 2 books, THIS book took me by storm! This was such a spectacular conclusion to this particular series (there'll be more in this world YAY!) So much awesome action, so much underlying tension I could taste it, so many awesome twists! It's so wonderfully unpredictable, I was bouncing on my toes! And we get outstanding awesome characters, an exceptionally amazing plot, drenched in Greek mythology! Which I love. Heck! I loved it all! This excellently paced, fast flowing read, without being too fast, like Goldy Locks said "just right!" sealed my addiction for this author, I doubt I'll ever get enough, I devour every book she publishes.

Angel has taken hold of my heart, her loss of Ryan, yet again, shattered me. This loss was so much worse than the countless previous ones, this loss was the final one....but these words, "love is harsh, but it's worth it", so poignant, so true, settle into me with conviction. For love IS worth it, giving me an inking of hope and light, love DOES make one whole. One just needs to get through all the obstacles and brakes in the way... As despairing as Angel is of her situation, she calls on her strength, her friends and her resolve to eliminate the threat hanging over their head, and shoot are there lots of threats! The only way I can describe my experience of Angel, is elation, elation at how far she's come, how much she's grown from when I first encountered her as a stoic, outwardly unemotional being, to one who opens up like an oyster and reveals the beautiful unique pearl that she is, lustrous, illuminating brightly all around her, her magic growing to unimaginable lengths, her discovery that she DOES have family, family she'll do anything for, that she's loved and that she loves back just as vigorously.

I'm loved the whole Orion/Ryan personality unfolding, which is more beautiful the more I read, getting insight into his mind, his heart, his powers, his very being, he's had so much to overcome, just as much as Angel. And I love love loved the cool twist on his powers. By the heavens, my heart was in my throat when he and Adam faced off! I thought he was a gonna! Ms Cain really makes all the characters stand out, even when they aren't a bigger part of the story. Like Craig, my goodness, in a few paragraphs she managed to make me like him so much that I was devastated when Adam did THAT to him!

It's always a delight when Morgan appears and has her say, and trust me, she had PLENTY to say throughout this book in true Morgan form but I wanted to jump up in joy when Nial entered the story! It was so unexpectedly fabulous to see him again, to feel him again and him helping out Ryan was heavenly! This author's work is heavenly, I swear she's touched by the gods with a skill few can aspire to, the way she magics her words, her characters, her plot, all consuming, enticing, I'm a limp sock in her hands...she tugged me from despair to elation and back to despair in matter of a few pages. Never knowing which turn Ms Cain was taking, I dutifully followed like a lap dog, mouth hanging open, emotions churning. I didn't expected a lot to go the way it did and that's always an amazing thing, I love being shocked, I'm still reeling from the awesomeness, the.... intervention and revelations of the gods, shoot, if Morgan and Angel were astonished, I was shell-shocked! What a brilliant twist! What a brilliant addition to an already brilliant story, turning mythology on it's head! Superbly! Good heavens, we've all read how fickle the gods were but hells bells this story elevates what we know to new heights, to a new understanding of just how out of tune they were.

There are stories within the story, begging to be told. Superbly put out there, tantalising me further. Take Macey and Terry, now THAT'S a definite "please please write their story!" This is the genius of this author, she plays me like a fiddle, teasing me, cajoling me, enthralling me. Then the revelations, totally unexpected, totally mind spinning, hit me like lacerations and I find myself clinging to this: "Everything happens as it should" and blow me down, it sure does. And when there seemed to be no hope, when there seemed to be an end to all, Ms Cain took off and ran with it, keeping that kernel alive, while tossing me around like a leaf in the wind. The last 8 or so chapters had my heart in my throat, that final battle floored me, I honestly wasn't expecting what happened! Gosh, my brain's still stuttering trying to absorb the incredible imagination of this incredible author! Superb, superb, superb storytelling!

Besides the characters who are so immersive, rich, full, individual, every single one has captured me in a different way, this story has changed me, I can't look up at the stars without seeing this tale, playing out vividly. So, in conclusion...That! Was! Brilliant!!!! The feels are incredible! The whole entwined storyline is superbly crafted, tying in Morgan's books, with Angel's, with Portals. Brilliantly done, even more brilliantly executed, absolutely fabulous!

Angel has been hiding in solitude for a couple months after Ryan made his decision to go with Adam. But life doesn't stop just because Angel is hiding. Vampires are trying to take over the city and the team needs Angel. Meanwhile, Orion is training to become stronger to go against Adam and he gets some unexpected help in his quest to get rid of the vampire council (even if it has unforeseen consequences). Morgan gains an unexpected coven, much to her chagrin and everyone else's amusement. And of course, Apollo is making himself known and causing trouble.

Angel has sunk down into despair after losing Ryan. But once Morgan pulls her back to reality, she finally realizes she has to stop Adam and Lucifer. She’s learning new things about her power and now she has her siblings here to help her as well. She definitely has some personal growth in this book. Orion is determined and he doesn't rush into things (which definitely saves him a time or 2!). He is level-headed and holds the knowledge of centuries. I love the integration of the different Greek deities in this story. You never know who has a hidden agenda either. There were some definitely surprises from a couple of them! I am a sucker for mythology and this book definitely satisfied my love of Greek mythology.

I also love that while this is Angel’s story, we still get lots of Morgan!! She is definitely a force of nature to be reckoned with and you don’t want to cross her! She’s as tough as Angel in her own way. As is Macey, we definitely get to see a stronger, more assertive version of Macey in this book.
There are so many amazing side characters that it would take too long to talk about them all, but know they all make this story what it is.

There is never a dull moment in this book. From start to finish, there is something going on and another piece of the puzzle being clicked into place. It was fun figuring things out right along with Angel, Morgan and Orion. There are battles of will and strength throughout the whole book! It was easy to get lost in this book and I look forward to hopefully getting more books in this world in the future!

Book #3 sees Angel having gone into hiding having truly lost Ryan (Orion) this time around as he has become a vampire. The curse has been broken, though, and this means that Lucifer has been released. So has Apollo. The end of the curse, and the release of Lucifer has changed things, and the vampires have started to run amok in Chicago. Morgan has control over the demons, but she is no longer able to wield power over the vampires.
The vampires have been given a choice one that has some very unforeseen consequences for Morgan. The vampires have a choice to follow Lucifer, or forsake him and choose a different path. Of course, Adam, Ryan’s surrogate father has chosen to side with Lucifer, and unfortunately Ryan has chosen to follow his father, believing that this is the right path given all he has done for him.
Lucifer has his own plans though, plans to remake the world in his own image, one that does not include humans, except a few to feed on.
Angel, along with Morgan, begins to gather what allies she can to fight Lucifer, Adam and those set on ending the world as we know it. Apollo has sided with Lucifer, still angry with Angel, believing that he is in love with her, and angry at being spurned by her. Nyx joins Apollo, desperate for his attention, but he is blinded by his own hate to see the love that Nyx has for him. Eros and Thanatos join Angel, hoping to bring positive change to the world.
Morgan has some unexpected allies, including her friend Macey, who everyone sees as the beautiful, and lovable nymph. But Macey shows another side, don’t push the nymph too far, or you’ll regret it. Hadrian and the shifter pack join the story from the Dealer’s Choice series, and Hadrian finds that he has some interesting ties to another of the characters from Orion’s past.
The story unfolds in Chicago, but seems to spend a lot of time at Morgan’s favourite drinking hole, Gamers, in which poor Terry, the owner has to put up with Morgan and her constant antics. As the story unfolds, and Angel gains her abilities back though, she places a charm over the bar, stopping anyone entering who has ill intentions. This provides a backdrop for the bar in which a larger number of supernaturals start to come to their, looking for a safe place to drink as the city falls further into turmoil.
Book #3 sees all the various story arcs from the first two books come together in an epic conclusion, as we see the two different sides gather their forces for the final showdown. But it’s not all as it seems.
This is a really clever, character driven story, one in which each of the different story arcs looks into the hearts and minds of each of the characters. Angel is shattered by the final iteration of Orion’s (Ryan’s) life, one that has left them apart, but her wondering if they ever should have been together. Now, she is faced with trying to save humanity, by facing down Lucifer, a veritable Demi-God. Worse, two of her siblings, have taken up arms against her.
Morgan is struggling with her position as Guardian, her relationship with Nial, as well as her role as the Queen of Hell trying to keep the demons under control and not taking souls like they used to. This however comes under threat when Lucifer is released and wants to reclaim his throne, and the only way he can do it is through Morgan.
The Star-Crossed series is a stunning mix of Urban Fantasy and Greek Mythology, looking at a twist on the timeless love story of Artemis and Orion.
If you love a powerful character driven story, one that will leave you reading until late into the night, a fantastic Urban Fantasy, or one in which there is a blend of supernatural and mythology – this has something for everyone!
This is one of the must-read series of the year, so don’t miss out!!

This third book in this series was a fantastic read and I could hardly put it down! This was an awesome ending to Angel's story, but I am hoping there will still be more to come as Lucifer will not give up everything just yet, surely?!

Angel, having spent months in solitude trying to grasp the why and wherefores of Ryan's actions at the end of the previous book, Star-Crossed Friends, is finally dragged back home by Morgan. So much has happened while she has been away and it is now time for Angel to step back up to the plate and help in the fight against Lucifer and Adam. This is not going to be an easy fight by any means and Angel now needs to call in her family and friends to help!

Ryan (or Orion as is really now is) is definitely playing the long game here - letting Adam make presumptions about himself and his skills, but unfortunately for (O)Ryan Adam keeps too many of his secrets very guarded until closer to the crunch! Adam will not go down easily either! But will Angel and her allies be enough to take him down? And are her allies truly faithful to their cause or do they have their own agendas?

As always, this writing was fantastic - so smooth and fast paced, but with so much character development and plot that it really felt like you could be in the same room as the characters and see everything taking place.

Morgan was a great character in this book (as she always is), but the one who surprised me the most was Macey. Here's hoping that we get a Macey story soon! I loved Angel and Orion together and that they finally got their happy ending (at least for now - let's hope it stays that way too!)

I received an ARC copy of this book from the author, but this review is my own honest one! Thank you Liz for another fantastic read!

Angel is trying to reconcile with her heart and her head. She knows she needs to help Morgan and the others face what is coming but she can’t help but feel betrayed by what happened at the cabin. It doesn’t help that Apollo is closing in on her and trying to repeat their history since he clearly has not learned his lesson. But the Fallen have started to gather, Morgan’s coven is growing (much to her dismay), and she discovers that in her isolation her friends and family have grown in ways she missed. As plans form and events unfold, she is determined to let Ryan be for he finally chose someone that wasn’t her and she wants to respect that. However, Ryan is playing the long game and is gathering the information he needs before he can come home to Angel. He gets help from an unexpected corner and in the process finds a way to possibly beat Lucifer when it comes time.

We get satisfying conclusions to this story arc but are still left with the build up of the ultimate showdown. I love the tie-in to her other series and how it will all eventually come together and I am excited for this. My favorite character finally made an appearance and I just love the bromance that was formed. Morgan is still being stubborn even when she doesn’t need to be, hope someone knocks the final screw loose from her head soon. Overall, this was a satisfying story of a character I didn’t know I needed more of and a myth that I didn’t know I needed to be retold until it was handed to me.

This is book #3 of the star crossed Trilogy!

Angel - Has been in solitude for a while since Ryan had chosen his path to go with Adam. Her friends need her more than ever now the vampires are trying to take over, she is the only person who can help the gang to go head to head with Adam and Lucifer.

Orion/Ryan - Has had a spell put on him from Angel for his protection against other vampires. He has remembers absolutely everything, he has been training to go against Adam for the sake of his family and to find his way back to his one true love Angel.

In this third installment we see alot of characters who are ready to battle in this novel.

This novel had me on the edge of my seat! That ending was wow! Just wow! I am lost for words! This author has done a brilliant storyline for this third book! I want and need more!

This is a beautifully written third book in this Trilogy! The work this author has put into her words is amazing!

The twists the turns, the loyalty, the betrayal all thrown into the mix is one hig rollercoaster of emotion!
I would definitely recommend this Trilogy to any fantasy lovers out there!

Angel and everyone are back in the next part of the journey in her story. So much action and storyline packed into one book. I do not know how authors can write like this and keep it so compact~ This one is full of action, betrayals, secrets to uncover, new powers, new helpers, and new beginnings with new but old connections.

There is a war coming and each side will need all the help they can get. Some of it is sorrowful, some is funny, others are maddening in hopes they receive what they deserve. The new players that come in will have you cheering them on. I know this is not the end of this series just yet…it might be the ending for the love story…there is more to come for some of the characters. We will have to wait until the author has the time and inclination to continue…please be soon~

I just had to sit up till silly o’clock to finish this book - it’s just that good!

The final instalment of Angel and Orion’s story is filled with nail-biting tension, surprises, edge of the seat moments and so much emotion. Throughout you are just willing everything to work out for the star-crossed lovers with all your might. Every time you think they’ll finally get their moment, something else seems to go wrong. You can just never assume you will know what will happen when angels, vampires and gods are involved!

Just trust me when I say, that the climax of this couple’s story is one you just won’t want to miss!

Now it’s the wait to find out exactly what is coming for all of our much loved characters, when the war that been prophesied, comes to pass.

Star-Crossed Lovers by author Liz Cain is the final book in the Star-Crossed trilogy. It features great main characters, an emotional rollercoaster, a wicked sense of humor, and flat-out runaway action and thrills throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed this romp through the writer's imagination, while living out the chapters from the various characters' alternating points of view.

The Star-Crossed series as a whole—what a wonderful ride! These books by author Liz Cain were riveting and hard to put down. Liz Cain has created a great storyline based on Greek mythological characters from heaven and hell.

🥹🥹🥹 Artemis has always been one of my favorite goddesses and having her story told by Liz is everything 😍

This last installment of Angel and Orion's story made me laugh, cry, and then ugly happy cry (I blame Beba in the library) this story is fast paced but so incredibly satisfying. With an urban fantasy stage, ancient myths, gods dropping info then bolting, a pissed off siren, a vengeful angel, and an ancient shifter this story is packed full of action and heart.

My favorite thing to come out of this though is the friendship that blooms between Angel and Morgan. We saw it start in the Dealers Will series but seeing it blossom made me appreciate the Morgan in my life 🫶🏼

We’ve come to the end of this series arc, and it is a wonderful ride getting there. This author has gotten better and better with each book, and I am here for every book. Anyway, this latest has poor Angel still reeling from the rejection of Ryan/Orion, but she still has to defend her city from the ones trying to take over. She gets some unexpected allies (what a surprise one was!), she must deal with Apollo again, and she must deal with her feelings for Ryan. This was an action-filled arc ender, and I’m ready to find out what’s next. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

I am a massive lover of this series! Liz’s fun style of writing captivates you and brings you into the story like you’re right there in the room with the characters. I don’t want to give too much away in the story but if you’re a fan of Angel and Orion from the first two books you must read this one and you won’t be disappointed at all. It was fab to see all the supernatural creatures coming together to fight Adam because let’s face it he bloody deserves it. Huge well done to Liz for writing yet another amazing supernatural book

What a story! This adventure just kept swinging! Angel finally comes into her own, realizing her caring heart is actually a strength! I loved seeing behind the scenes with the other characters’ story arcs. A lot of questions were answered, especially why Morgan has certain powers! The mix of urban fantasy, romance, and greek mythology is so well done! I devoured the story in one go! Can’t recommend this series enough!!!

Really cool take on the Olympians. Crazy gods. Lots of unpredictable twists and turns. Make sure to check each chapter for whose point of view you're in, or it's easy to get confused. Great story - but you do need to pay attention!

This final instalment in Angel and Orion’s story had me in tears, more than once, biting my nails and riding the waves of emotion with them and all the crew. Devoured the book in one sitting, couldn’t stop if I wanted to, I had to know the outcome! I loved the visions and time travel aspects, the old friends reunited and new bonds formed, the beautifully explained concepts and magical elements, even the gods and angels, good and bad. I just really loved this series and this book was amazing, it flows so smoothly and absorbs you into its pages.

So well written, engaging and compelling, I look forward to more in this world, I could read stories for every single side character happily. Another Liz Cain success for sure, I can’t wait for more!

Orion and Ryan’s souls merge to one. They work together to save Ryan’s sister and destroy Adam.
Taking revenge on the vampires. Lucifer has been released and has given power to the vampires. He has started a war.
Make sure you have tissues to hand.
Perfect way to end Angel’s story.
