On their twenty-fifth birthday, two women receive a letter that will change their lives forever.
They are not who they think they are. After a tragic event in the past, their identities have been altered, and they were unaware of each other’s existence. But after receiving that one fateful letter, everything changes.

The mafia boss, Amedeo Arcuri, has been tasked with keeping this extraordinary twin safe after their reunion. But in the world they find themselves in, that’s easier said than done. And the impossible romance he longs for only complicates matters further.

How part one was not a bad read and also not a good read, this second part is bad.
The storyline between Jasmine and Amadeo, is really tiring and also not healthy. I mean toxic much?! How is it possible that we still think this is what love should be? Being overly obsessed, that you don’t give any space to another and that when you’re angry you can solve it all with sex. That scene after dinner with his mom: CRINGE! Jasmine is pissed off, which makes sense, and instead of communication, he pushes her onto the stairs and have sex with her, and she completely forgets everything and think this is love she feels for him. Ugh.

When the girls finally stand up for themselves recognising their heritage and wanting to fill up the shoes as daughters of, I finally had a moment that I thought: yes now we’re talking. I would love to see them combine their strength and show the world how badass they are, instead of being hidden and protected by their men.

That being said; I was annoyed when Jasmine took the matter in her own hands to meet up with Emilio, to throw away her phone so she couldn’t be traced, when a week before, that was the reason the twins were rescued. Like how dumb are you?

Another part which is annoying about the relationship of Jasmine and Amadeo, is that he is constantly gaslighting her. Everytime she shares her thoughts and feelings he just waves it away with lines as: it doesn’t matter you’re mine, or what you’re saying is nonsense. Kudos for Jasmine addressing it right away. But still; annoying. Amadeo’s narrative throughout the book got me thinking: yeah yeah, bla bla Lets move on.

The ending was better than the rest of the story, loved seeing Jasmine become more a badass. To me the story would have been better if the sisters could have been more bad ass together.
