I've been waiting for this book for a long time since the release of book two last year, and I was not disappointed by Rafe and Adele's story! Their love story was a delicious and sexy slow-burn romance between a headstrong alpha wolf struggling to protect his pack and an independent woman who's trying to put her life back together. There was great banter and chemistry between Rafe and Adele, and I cannot wait for Tabitha and Gabriel's story! ♡

This is the third book in the Shifter Ops series and we finally get Rafe's story. I have been dying to get my hands on his book and I was so excited that he was paired with Adele.
Rafe is an alpha and the leader and protector of their small pack. Having experienced the pain of loss, he has dedicated his whole being to always protecting those he loves and vowing to never take a mate. But when he gets a whiff of Adele and realizes she is his fated mate...well life gets way more complicated and the stakes are raised substantially when an unknown threat enters their lives.
Adele has lost her livelihood and ends up turning to Rafe for help despite her attraction and dislike of him. But the more time she spends with Rafe she realizes she may have mistaken dislike for...well...love. Caught in a web of lust, secrets and uncertainty Adele isn't sure what her future will hold. Will Adele let Rafe protect her even though it goes against her very nature? Will Rafe get the stick out of his ass and claim Adele before it's too late?
I loved this story and that it was also a set up for the next book which I AM HERE FOR. One word...dragon! This was a delicious smutty story with the perfect amount of sexual tension and angst. Adele was a super fierce and feisty character and Rafe was your quintessential alpha male that I love. I wish we had had more time with Rafe and Adele!! Can't wait for Tabitha's story!

November 22, 2022DNF at 20%. Book 3 in the series where all of the shifters are resisting their mates for no good reason! You would think at this point in the series, the men would understand that this is their person. Instead, you have stupid reasons for not being together.

The Shifter Ops Crew is back with an alpha hero and super feisty heroine. I always love Lee Savino and Renee Rose’s take on the shifter world- this dynamic duo always writes the perfect alpha dominant, and paired with their perfect marriage of paranormal tropes and romantic suspense, these books are always a lot of fun.
I enjoyed Rafe and Adele’s story- as usual, Renee and Lee deliver a fast-faced, steamy, action packed story that is an easy one sit binge. The chemistry is extra feisty in this one, and I love the ops packs dynamics. Alpha Rafe is definitely a sexy, broody hero- at first hesitant to claim his mate, but he still has all the growly alpha caveman possession, and his feelings show up just when it matters. And Adele is a fun, sassy heroine- strong willed, obstinate, but, of course, very human- a mate dynamic Rafe never considered for himself.
Overall, their story is fun, but not my favorite of the series- Rafe’s resistance was frustrating at first, but when he unleashed his possession I was all about it. And Adele is an amazing heroine, I wish we just knew more about her and she was more developed as a character. Outsider of her fiery personality and her love for cooking from her grandma, we didn’t know much about her identity or background. But I loved what we got from her- I appreciated how she was strong willed but not idiotically “let me run into danger” stubborn. The plot was engaging and quick, though it felt a bit less steamy and slower than I’ve come to expect from these two authors- their sizzle meter is normally through the roof- but even so, it’s plenty sexy. Our coupling took a bit longer to “click’ for me- perhaps because their initial civility turns acrimonious for a bit.
We have a secondary plot that I have a lot of questions about - there were some unusual things that perhaps were more of a set up for the next book, but either way, I found the mysterious Dieter intriguing, and i’m looking forward to his book!

Rafe and Adele’s story, aka 2 control freaks battle against their own feelings for each other, the shifter edition. I’m still a bit meh about this spin-off series, which is disappointing because I *loved* the Bad Boys Alpha series. With this book I didn’t love the “we can’t be together because of reasons” as the main hurdle, but it was still very readable and there were parts I really liked.
But, I am looking forward to Tabitha’s book! I have high hopes for the next book, and I liked how it was set up in this one. 🤞

Oh I love it when thick skulls are brought to their knees and somehow have to surrender, following the urge to care. That back and forth of 'no I'm not eating my soup but I definitely want seconds'. I hope Renee and Lee have left some sexy shifters, I'm looking for the quickest route to Taos, because you can't be happy on books and chocolate alone.

This was a great entry in the Shifter Ops series but I definitely recommend reading the books in order for maximum enjoyment. This book features Rafe, the Alpha and a character from an earlier book, Adele. Talk about a pair of stubborn main characters! While they are definitely stubborn and at times frustrating simply because of their stubborness, Rafe and Adele are perfect for one another. This was a steamy paranormal romance with a touch of suspense. Can't wait to see what the next installment will bring with Dieter and his fated mate!

Alphas revenge was a really good story it is book three in the shifter ops series it can be read as a standalone . I thought the chemistry between the couple was super intense the way they connected with one another was amazing . Can't wait to read more by the author in the future .

To me, it felt kind of stilted. I never really clued into the personalities of the main characters, other than dominant and protective. And in general it felt more like a build up of the next book, rather than a story worth reading by itself.

It was provided to me as an ARC, and it was really good.
Now, i would totally recommend to read this series. You could totally ready it as a standalone, but to have a better understanding and for reader's pleasure, you should ready the other 2 books first.
This is an interracial affair. Two alphas, one human, another one supernatural.
Rafe is the alpha of his pack, he fought for his rules but seem to have them tear down. His brother and friend, both got mates but he is reluctant to have one. He sees them as weaknesses.
Adele is a strong independent woman, who was targeted and wronged by men in her life, so she is adamant to work towards opening her chocolatier again and rebuild her empire. But she needs a job, and it looks like the only place in town to work, is near Rafe who she seems to hate.
Both characters are pretty strong, and honestly that was refreshing to read about. The heroine makes mistakes and puts herself in danger, as they all usually do **eye roll** but in this case, i can totally fault Rafe for withhelding important information.
They are both head strong and really need control, but when they come together, its pretty cool to see. Rafe is protective, and Adele is too. She will fight anyone to protect who she loves.
Now their love was fast paced, their chemistry was there. And the drama continued on, which i can say im pretty excited to read.
Tropes: Werewolf, alpha characters. Grumpy/Sunshine. Alpha protector. Heroine in danger (was she really though)
Romance: 3/5

Renee Rose and Lee Savino’s Alpha’s Revenge is the latest in their Special Forces Shifters series and we get Rafe and Adele’s story. Boy, these two are like oil and water at times; others, they’re a raging inferno. The sass, and I’ll say it, and the passive aggressiveness emanating off Adele was an absolute delight when balanced against Rafe’s frustration—yes, I loved it when Adele would poke at him. The suspense is there, if you’ve been following this series, then you’ll already know about the different bad guys and the blaze of glory THAT is (spoilers!). And as with their other books, you can rest assured that Ms. Rose and Ms. Savino are bringing us delightful characters in precarious circumstances who are fighting the obvious (love!) in sometimes hilarious ways. Other times, there might be a bit of a swoon going on. This Shifter Ops series will bring you large, growly alphas; sassy strong women; and not so clean fun. Recommended.

What happens when a Male Alpha meets a Female Alpha? Lots of mini battles for dominance. The banter and fire between the two main characters were fantastic and super spicy angsty goodness lol
Rafe is the Alpha of the pack, Adele is the Alpha personality out of the friend group, she had to learn to let go and trust Rafe a bit and Rafe has to compromise and appreciate that love is worth being vulnerable for.

I absolutely love this duo!! They write a fast paced, action packed, drama filled and exciting story every time. The characters are well developed and engaging. Rafe is protective of everyone and when he found Adele and she is a human and has a mate he goes overboard. He strives to protect her from the pack’s mess. Adele comes with some problems of her own. Can these two strong personalities work together?

You know the story. Alpha shifter find his mate but thinks he's doing the best thing for her by not claiming her. In the meantime he does everything BUT officially claim her. And they fight some bad guys. 🙃

I really enjoyed reading this book. It moves along at a really nice pace which was perfect for the flow of the story. It has interesting and unique characters that you will love and a story that will not disappoint. This book is a must read, there is no doubt about it.

This is the story of Rafe Lightfoot (Alpha of his little pack) and Adele Fabre (friend to the human wives of two of his pack-mates). These two had a whole "will-they-or-won't-they" vibe going throughout the prior two books of the series, Alpha's Moon (Deke & Sadie's story) and Alpha's Vow (Lance & Charlie's tale).
Rafe is kind of a butthead, and really puts Adele through the ringer by being extremely hot-and-cold with her, not to mention all of the secrets that he keeps. He does not, under any circumstances, want to claim her as his mate. He's afraid both that it will be too much responsibility for him with everything else he already has going on, and that it will put her in danger. But what he apparently fails to realize is that she is already in danger from multiple fronts, and he has already assumed responsibility for her just due to her relationship with his pack members and their spouses. Besides which, he knows that she's his fated mate and that he'll go moon-mad if he doesn't claim her, so it isn't as though he really has a choice in the matter.
Adele is super spunky, while also being totally loving and protective. In a nutshell, she's the ultimate alpha mate. But she does, however, make some really dumb mistakes, that seem to totally belie how otherwise intelligent she seems. (Like, what part of "Don't leave the house" was not clear?!?)
But eventually these two do get together, and it's delightful to witness. Every scene with other members of the pack are fun as well. It's always great to see the stars of prior tomes in the set and catch-up with them. Not to mention that every interaction with Channing is pure gold.
I was rather confused by Gabe Dieter. He is presented as a really bad guy, totally on the opposite of things from Rafe and his pack, even dangerous to them. And yet his fated mate is apparently Tabitha, who I just can't see being with someone who is diametrically opposed to her friends and their mates. It will definitely be interesting to see where things go with them in the next volume of the series.

Adele is super spunky, while also being totally loving and protective. In a nutshell, she's the ultimate alpha mate. But she does, however, make some really dumb mistakes, that seem to totally belie how otherwise intelligent she seems. (Like, what part of "Don't leave the house" was not clear?!?)
But eventually these two do get together, and it's delightful to witness. Every scene with other members of the pack are fun as well. It's always great to see the stars of prior tomes in the set and catch-up with them. Not to mention that every interaction with Channing is pure gold.
I was rather confused by Gabe Dieter. He is presented as a really bad guy, totally on the opposite of things from Rafe and his pack, even dangerous to them. And yet his fated mate is apparently Tabitha, who I just can't see being with someone who is diametrically opposed to her friends and their mates. It will definitely be interesting to see where things go with them in the next volume of the series.

Renee and Lee know how to keep you going in a series. They always have new ideas that they bring to every story. Rafe and Adele are the perfect couples to keep you guessing throughout.
Alpha's Revenge is a gritty, darker, and highly recommended read. Adele is a strong and independent woman that feels she needs no one. She needs no one until Rafe shows up and takes everything from her. These two are like fire and ice, but that keeps you going. You know Rafe is a great guy, but he refuses to love Adele.

It’s a great setup - but I’m not telling any more - just know that when these two authors get together, the reader is always in for a treat!!

DANGEROUS, INTENSE, AND EXCITING
The story is the third in the Shifter Ops series by the writing duo of Ms. Renee Rose and Ms. Lee Savino. They have written several other series together, a spin-off of the Bad Boy Alpha's series. While this story is part of a series, it will read well enough as a stand-alone. The story's two main characters are Alpha Rafe Lightfoot and Adele Fabre.
Adele is still in shock over the closing of her business, The Chocolatier, and learning that a man she trusted, Christopher 'Bing' Ford, is not only deal, but involved with a drug cartel, was embezzling from the business, and not paying the rent with the checks she wrote. Her life is in a spin, but she is determined to pick herself back up and get busy working so she can reopen.
Rafe Lightfoot never intended his pack brothers to take mates, yet two have, including his brother. Rafe is devoted to his pack and worries about the human females now mated to his pack brothers. The last thing he has time for is a mate himself, but fate is fickle and laughing at him—while his wolf wants to claim her.
The story's plot will have Rafe and his team after an enemy, Gabe Dieter, but that falls through again—but not without Gabe planting a seed of doubt in Rafe's mind. Adele will apply for a job at Rafe's restaurant, but is offered a job at his compound cooking for the team. The story is full of angst, and issues and Adele and Rafe fight their physical attraction and butt heads as two strong, independent people.

A cleverly written start to this wonderful series I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of
Adele cannot believe the situation she has been dropped in by her business partner who was fortunately murdered, unfortunately she was seen as a possible suspect even though she had nothing what-so-ever to do with his death. Now she has lost the business premises and all of her stock and machinery she worked so hard to build up, her chocolatier business and the reputation she has is through a lot of hard work and very long hours.
Unfortunately, her partner stole all of the cheques she gave him to pay for the business premises and now the owner has repossessed all of her stock, now she is trying to find more work so that she can repay the outstanding debts and reclaim her equipment and stock and hopefully the premises.
Rafe Lightfoot is a wolf shifter who along with his pack work for the government dealing with criminals that go well below the radar, he is a serious individual that has recently had to become used to the fact several of his men have found their mates, his younger brother’s human mate is actually carrying a human, wolf shifter baby and they are excited and also in trepidation as the guard their privacy vehemently.
As the group have been working against a criminal known as Dieter and after the last mission, they were sent on it was obvious that he knew that Rafe and his men were shifters and as well as using silver bullets to shoot him had also known they were on the way. He has now threatened to harm the women of the men and even threatened the unborn child of his younger brother which is something he will never allow to happen. No one will hurt anyone else in his family not after the murder of both his mother and father that had left him and his brother as orphans.
The interaction between Adele and Rafe is obvious to his brothers and anyone else that knows him well, Adele finds him irritating as he is very alpha character and bossy but she is also drawn to him as well and she knows that he is attracted to her. However, as she accepts the job working in the kitchen cooking the meals for him and his men for a surprisingly good wage, she is a proud woman and he knows that she would never have taken charity so having her work as his cook is the ideal solution.
This was a wonderful read; you will enjoy every moment of the story and as usual be left looking forward to future books.
I do not want to spoil the plot so will say no more about the three of them, I assure you that you will enjoy every single moment of this book.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

Alpha's Revenge by Renee Rose and Lee Savino is the first book that I've read by either author and I really enjoyed their writing. I have been a fan of supernatural, in particular shifter romances, for probably a decade, and Alpha's Revenge didn't disappoint. It had so many troupes that I enjoy in shifter romances such as fated mates, resisting fate's pull (and it not working), and mistaken fated mate. I thought that Renee and Lee were able to write a seamless book, I wasn't able to tell where one ended and the other began writing. To me there really isn't anything worse than being able to tell where two authors wrote because their styles differ too much.
Pack alpha and special forces team leader, Rafe, has one goal currently, find a way to take down the arms dealer Dieter and stop him from hurting so many people with the weapons he sells. What he wasn't expecting was for his team's carefully laid out plan to actually be a trap. With Dieter on the move and Rafe and the team temporarily grounded Rafe hires Adele as a private chef for him and the guys... Since meeting Adele Rafe has had a hard time controlling himself, but now that they are in close proximity to one another Rafe is starting to realize that she is more than a beautiful woman that he's attracted to, she's actually his mate. But with Dieter out there he can't promise himself that Adele will be able to stay safe from those who want revenge on him...

Alpha's Revenge, the third book in the Shifter Ops series, follows pack alpha Rafe Lightfoot as he tries to find a balance between his two duties: to his heart and to his pack.
Rafe can't have a mate. He's seen what's it's done to two of his pack already, including his little brother. He knows he can't continue protecting his pack if he's distracted by a mate. But Adele Fabre ticks all of Rafe's boxes whether he wants her to or not. With new shifters in their midst, Rafe will have to decide if Adele is worth risking his pack or if he's willing to put it all on the line for his one true love.
As the third book in the Shifter Ops series, I would recommend reading this one as part of the series rather than as a standalone. While the overall plot is easy enough to follow without any prior knowledge of the pack or Black Wolf Security, there are just enough references to character actions or prior plots to make me recommend reading Alpha's Moon and Alpha's Vow first. This third installment is good - great character arcs, plenty of action, well done spice - but you won't regret waiting to read Alpha's Revenge until you've finished the first two.
I loved finally getting to dig into Rafe's story. He's rough, he's grumpy, he's the perfect candidate for some sunshine and sass from a mate. Rose and Savino turned it up a notch in terms of both what's at stake as well as the steam factor; Rafe is simultaneously trying to get revenge for his parents' deaths, protect his pact, and deny himself what he longs for the most. It's a delicate balance to have in one character, but Rose and Savino did a great job with Rafe's character and I'm so glad this was his story.
While I definitely loved Rafe and Adele's story, I appreciated all the other details the authors weaved together. We saw plenty of details pulled in from previous stories while also introducing a new threat that will carry over into future stories. Adele and Rafe's story isn't a cliffhanger by any means, but after the epilogue I can't wait to read the next Shifter Ops book.
With great spice, an action-filled plot, and well done characters, Alpha's Revenge is perfect for fans of military shifter romance.

I liked both Rafe and Adele. I thought they had great chemistry. I feel like a lot of information was missing about them and the subplots. I felt like I was forced to make assumptions.
I think Adele was a women of color (but I am not 100% sure about that), which I thought was interesting. I really would have liked more background info on her. References were made about her grandmother which makes me think she is from Louisiana, but I am not sure about that either.
As far as Rafe goes, the way the book began, I was expecting something different. It was almost like reading 2 books at once that didn't quite mesh. I didn't get that strong in control Alpha vibe off of Rafe. I know he was fighting his feelings for Adele, but something was just not there. Maybe because it seemed like they spent so little time developing a relationship. I don't know.
There was the whole situation with Dieter and the mystery behind his presence. What he knew, what he didn't know, who was he, what did he want, why was Rafe a thorn in his side, were the shifters a threat to him, etc.? Add in his thoughts about Adele, then they changed. Why didn't he want Rafe to pursue his "quest" regarding his parents?
Also, the issue with Adele's shop? I honestly don't know if that added anything to the story. Things were not flowing for me in this book. I felt like I was getting involved in a storyline and then it would shift. So, I would shift gears, and then something else would happen without much context. It was frustrating.
This book can be read as a standalone, but I believe it would be more enjoyable if read in order. I thought the book was ok, but it definitely wasn't one of my favorites. That made me kind of sad because I really liked Rafe and Adele. If the other subplot wasn't going to be more developed, then more time could have been spent on Rafe and Adele developing a relationship. I think I would have enjoyed the book more.
