Sara Bourgeois is a Midwesterner through and through. She spends her time writing, reading, herding cats, and standing in her driveway during tornado warnings. (You can't see them from the basement.)
This is an entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series. A fun cast of characters and an entertaining storyline. Kensley Wilson is a witch in Coventry. The town has a Vail over it that keeps the humans from seeing most of the magic. There are many wishes who live here among the humans. Kensley is married to the local sheriff. Kinsley and her friends and sometimes her husband solve the crimes of the normal side of things for the most part while her husband does the mundane human investigations. And see where the adventure takes them this time.
This was better than the last book but it’s still lacking what made this series special to begin with. All of the side characters are pretty much gone and don’t exist and it’s a new cast of characters which I’m sure won’t be seen again in future books.
I’ll continue reading because at this point it’s 23 books in. I do hope the next book brings back the old characters.
This was so intense! Between the insanity at the theater and Thorn’s anger, it just kept things moving and on the edge. There was a pretty crazy and intense ending to the book too!
I am missing all of the friends and family in the last two books. Where are Kinseys Mom and Dad, and All of her friends. This story was better than book 22 but I still miss the writing as it was.in the beginning.
It was exciting. Every time I thought it would slow down a bit, it just kept going. I was on the edge of my seat at all times when I was reading this book. Meri always seemed to save the day many times over. I also knew that there was something wrong with Thorn and was happy that Lilith knew what to do.
