This book was just bad. I love dark romances, but this felt like it was dark just for the sake of being dark. The story line was chaotic and disjointed. There was minimum buildup and then quick, over simplified resolution. There was very little world building and character development.

I truly enjoy all of Emily Klepp's books. I appreciate how she portrays characters with relatable struggles and trauma. I particularly love how strong and empowered the female characters become, and the support they receive from the men in the story. The way Dean, Mason, and Lance treat Sadie with patience and understanding is heartwarming. Their relationship is inspiring and I look forward to reading more of Emily Klepp's work in the future. Truly remarkable!

Hands down my favorite Emily Klepp book so far. I'm very excited for book 2. This book is filled with SO MUCH spice. I loved how Dean, Lance and Mason helped ease Sadie through her trauma and helped her overcome those horrid events at her abuser's hands with their guidance. Their bond is special and they've all been close friends for 23 years. Curious to see what Emily has in store for us in book 2 ;)

Loved it

I really enjoyed this book. My heart hurt when Sadie was struggling with her feelings for the guys. I’m glad they figured things out and found happiness. The pain and betrayal Sadie felt after Leo and Paul was horrible. I'm glad she found a way to take back her life and the guys were a big part of that.

I didn’t mind the book at first, I was intrigued by the ARC promo and decided to give it a shot. I agreed to delay my review posting if it was negative. Everything was going alright until the SA. Even the kidnapping itself was fine. I knew it was a dark romance. I just want to be clear that I’m not trying to condemn a book for being dark. I don’t have many TW and the ones I do are mostly around visceral gore, but the way a particular SA scene in this book was described was very unsettling. It seemed to use the same language the consensual encounters would, and in my personal opinion it was distasteful. The wrap up afterwards seemed rushed on top of that, though that could be because of how rattled I was. I just don’t agree with the language used to describe the scene, it seemed to fetishize the character when she was actively terrified and victimized. This is my personal opinion, I realize I may be interpreting it differently than the author intended.

I love how the author let's the characters work through their traumas in their own way. Every one deals with trauma differently and no one should judge that. Another great book!! Reverse harem with good spice. The men help her through her past traumas and she finally gets to heal in the end.

Definitely read the trigger warnings before reading this. The dark aspects are random, and so many conflicts happen and are resolved in such a short book.

Ohhh goodness this woman has freaking done it again. Seriously how does Emily get you so wrapped in her world of darkness and then she throws these epic freaking twist that I seriously never saw coming. I am in love with yet another now of Emilys books and I seriously am dying to find out what will happen in book 2.

Sadie has known Lance, Mason and Dean almost her whole life. They ended up going to college together and decided to start a huge company called Quad Tech together. They all 4 also happen to live together. Lance unfortunately sleeps in the room next to hers so Sadies has to listen to him pleasure his friend of the week Angela. Sadie absolutely can not stand her and the feelings are mutual on Sadies part. What is eating up Sadie the most is that she has been deeply in love with her best friends for so long and she is insanely attracted to them that it kills her so much when they bring other woman home. While at there Saturday weekly football game a mutual friend Todd sheds some light on the whole situation and gives Sadie a different perspective to think about in terms of her relationship with the three guys. Sadie is still seriously upset about not 1 but 2 altercations with Angela on the same day that she decides to invite Alex over who is a guy she is casually seeing. Things start to get steamy in the bedroom when Alex asks if they are going to go all the way tonight. Sadies response is if you have protection then we can and Alex throws a huge fit. Alex ends up storming out and honestly Sadie is relieved because little does anyone know she is still a virgin. What the story hasn’t revealed at this part is that Sadie come from an extremely religious upbringing and her parents are still very much living that life. Sadie had a horrible time growing up and had some seriously traumatizing things happen to her that she still sometimes struggles with.

After serious thought, Sadie decides that she is going to sell her shares of the company and move out of the house with the guys because she can not take it anymore. She is so in love with them and she does not thing that they love her back or have any sort of feelings for her either. The guys will not let her go! They tell her “She’ll understand soon enough that she belongs at home with us.” Todd comes up with a great idea and that is to have Sadie auction herself off for a date at this fundraiser that he is helping with. She agrees and gets all dolled up for this fundraiser that the three men will also be attending. The men outbid Alex for a date with Sadie and end up getting a Suite at the hotel the fundraiser is being held. Little did they know that this special night where the 4 of them are together for the first time intimately will soon be shared to the world. The next morning Sadie, Lance, Mason and Dean all wake up to horrifying news that the whole encounter last night was broadcast to the world and has gone viral. Things begin to get crazy in terms of the news, their company and investors as well as Sadies parents.

Sadies parents come into the picture and demand that she marries Paul who just so happens to be a Pastor/Some higher up religious person in her parents community and the person that SA her as a young teenager. Everyone looses their minds and things take yet another turn. I don’t want toggle away the ending of the book but lets just say that there is a player in their inner circle who has been playing the long game. This book left me on the edge of my seat and I am dying to find out what happens in the second part of this story.

What twist and turns will this amazing woman take us on next?

Book 5 ⭐️
Spice 5 ⭐️

First off, let me start by saying this book has TWs. Please take the time to read them before jumping into this book. If you have no triggers, then by all means, enjoy.

Oh, oh, oh! Boy, let me tell you, this book is divine! You will be all in your feels 100%. You'll want to rant, and you'll want to rave, but most of all, you will fall in love with these main characters. Emily has once again written a top-notch book. She will pull you in with the storyline from the get-go and hold you there tightly, not letting you go, making you feel, making you crave so much more. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I wanted to jump in and fight for and right alongside the MCs. I wanted to rage, and I wanted blood myself. Sadie is 100% a fighter and survivor. She is strong and resilient, but with Lance, Dean, and Mason by her side, she's even fiercer. The spice factor of this book is *chefs kiss*. Their chemistry and love for one another has grown over decades, and just as they'd do anything for her, she'd do anything for them. No matter what is thrown at them, together they will always come out on top.

Although I fell in love with the four MCs, I can't deny that Todd and his girlfriend aren't amazing either. They are what best friends are made of. Right along with the family of the 3 MMCs. That gets you in the feels as well.

- “I want people to be scared of me when I am close to you, little Demon.”
- “You’re in the lion's den now, Little Demon. I suggest you learn to watch your mouth.”
- “When I tell you to lose your attitude, I expect you to listen, Little Demon.
- "C☆me for me, pretty girl. Let me hear you sing."
- “Oh, that’s my good girl. Keep c☆ming, Little Demon.:
- “Scream, Little Demon
- “Only you can break yourself because no one has that power but you. You only break when you give up….”

As always, please read those TWs. They're there for a reason. You.

I have to say that this author does an amazing job writing especially when her stories are events that happen everyday and it gives a voice to those that have gone through these events are survivors. This one is about a pack of friends that have known each other for over 2 decades and have been there through the thick and thin of things. Sadie is the only female in this group of 4 who has come from a pretty messed up background and not only has she survived she has strength, love, and a dream that turned into a success. Fear and Rejection kept her from tell her 3 men how she truly felt until a line was crossed she tried to ignore them until there was no choice but to talk about it. They all come to an understanding that they all want to be together just like their friends had been telling them all along. Their first night together is supposed to be this magical moment between the 4 of them after they are the highest bidder to have a date with her. Little did any of them know that their first time was recorded and put out for everyone to see.

Little did anyone know that the sex tape brought them closer rather than tearing them apart. What should have been a glorious private moment was made public and out of the 4 of them only she was the one that was shamed while no one said anything about the men. She made some pretty strong lemonade out of the lemons, she made it clear to the investors of their company that this affected nothing and anyone who had a problem was done with them. Everything seemed to be okay until her very religious and messed up parents got in contact with her. They shamed her and blamed her and even went as far to try to get her to marry a pastor that abused her when she was young. So sick and twisted. She refuses, obviously, but this guy wont gives up and ends up kidnaping her with help from his cousin who she thought was one of her friends. Needless to say her men rescue her and do everything that they can to help her and work with her on the road to recovering from the abuse.

Ugh this was a good one.

Thank you Emily for letting me arc read for you again. You don’t disappoint, ma’am.

The guys are absolute gems. Like I was head over heels for them and would happily engage in whatever they wanted, lmao. Sadie was a fucking firecracker and hot damn the spice do be spicing 🔥🔥.

The only thing that took away from the book was the way that the police were portrayed. And the whole “24 hours for a missing person report” thing. You never need to wait 24 hours to file a missing person’s report. Never.

That’s not how that works, so I wish Emily had done a bit of research about that, at least. I understand some officers have their biases but they would never let that get in the way of how they do their job… at least the good ones wouldn’t.

The book could benefit from another round or two with an editor or just another set of eyes in general. There were some grammar and punctuation errors but they didn’t take away from the quality of the book. Some of the conversations were a bit… meh, cringy, I guess. It was “so why” and Sadie was like “well it’s because of…” so it was an obvious info dump. But again, I really enjoyed this one. I binged it and finished it at work I honestly couldn’t stop reading.

When hindsight really is 2020

Dean, Lance, Mason and Sadie have been inseparable since they were 5 years old. They went to high school and college together, started their business together and even live together. Unfortunately Sadie is also in love with her best friends and is coming to a breaking point where she can no longer remain in their orbit because she is jealous of anyone they may decide to love or even hook up with.

When another of their friends makes a comment about the men being to afraid to own up to how much they want her too a plan is put into place to for them to confront their feelings for one another. However, when they do finally get on the same page it is quickly put to the test in a series of events that will put Sadie in a position where she must face the demons of her past as well as new fall out from loving more than 1 man.

This book is very dark and has a lot of triggers and they are on page traumas. However, it is beautifully written and has you wondering what else could possibly go wrong as Sadie and her men are forced to deal with more than they ever thought. Will everyone come out okay in the end? As the past seeks to reclaim it's position and friends become enemies can love win out?

Emily Klepp did it again, she knows exactly how to write stories with heavy themes/triggers and is always great to read how the victims get their justice. Therefore please check always the TW before starting with reading.

The story is about 4 childhood friends (Sadie, Lance, Mason and Dean) from Friends to Lovers.

They always loved each other but either Sadie or Lance, Mason and Dean had the courage to tell their feelings to Sadie and Sadie to the guys, till that one day. OMG I loved their friends, i mean they were so freaking supportive to their relationship and somehow helped them to open up to each other and after that they were so comfortable and the spice getting spicier. Their love and bond to each other grow every day more and more.

Sadie is a fighter, survivor with Lance, Mason and Dean she is stronger than ever. She struggles with her past trauma and trying to get her life back and the guys helping her to overcome her trauma and demons.

I liked this story and looking forward to read the continuation of their story. 🤌

This is an honest arc review and I have to say I completely love Emily’s style of writing, it’s like she takes you and sucks you into the story and you’re experiencing everything with the characters. Warning definitely check your triggers before you start reading.

Reverse Perspective follows characters Sadie who grows up with Lance, Mason and Dean. Sadie was the only girl in there little circle, they never told her how they felt about her and she never said a thing about the way she felt about them three. They had saved her a lot over the years, they even lived together. She couldn’t face when they brought home a woman to mess with and they were so protective she never really had a ton of boyfriends. Sadie I truly felt for her and all the bullshit she went through as a kid and teenager, I’m glad she had Lance, Mason and Dean. Let me tell you their bond is so strong throughout the book and the fire in the smexy scenes…. HOT! Don’t blame Emily if you get hot. She definitely will leave you wanting more from her stories.

“You deserve normalcy. We are done walking on eggshells and treating you like you’re broken.” “I am broken,” I say quietly. “Oh, Little Demon…” he says softly, despite how he has his hand firmly wrapped around my throat. “You are not broken. You are merely bruised is all. Only you can break yourself because no one has that power but you. You only break when you give up and we refuse to let you give up. We will drag you out of the mud every single time you try to lay down and let it drag you under. We said forever, and we meant it. Forever does not have a stipulation for trauma.”

THIS QUOTE MADE THE BOOK 5-STARS AUTOMATICALLY! (The golden buzzer of this book if ya will) 🤭 kinda made me tear up lol.

This book was my second RH and MAN! Emily totally pulled me in & captivated me! 😍 the way the guys take care of Sadie… in. Every. Single. WAY. It was a little awkward at first cause I’m new to this “trope” but I looovveedddd ittttt. 😌 CAN’T WAIT FOR ENDLESS DEVOTION 😜🥳

Please always check the TW before diving in.

Being honest a good why choose is one of my favourite indulgence and Emily has given me exactly that.

I loved the dynamics between Sadie, Lance, Dean and Mason they were well written and I have to say I love Todd, I think everyone needs a Todd in their life.

I must say one thing I really love about Emily’s books is it’s not always smiles, sunshine and rainbows there is always some hard hitting topics/scenes/trauma, though throughout the story you see the FMC grow and overcome it and Reverse Perspective is no different. I enjoyed reading Sadie’s past and watching her grow with the help of her men and friends, I thought the religious side was interesting too.

Reverse Perspective is a Friends to Lovers, why choose/reverse harem duet and I look forward to reading book 2

Sadie, Dean, Lance, and Mason have all been friends since they were kids. They do everything together, even own a company together.

The love and commitment between all 4 of them is evident to everyone but Sadie it seems. She always just saw herself as one of the guys. And was convinced that they were never going to see her as anything more. But, they do.

All 3 of the amazing men work together to make Sadie realize just how perfect she is for them, in every way.

It wouldn’t be an Emily Klemp if there wasn’t some trauma and healing. Sadie is a strong independent woman but when her past catches up with her, she can’t bring herself to face that trauma again. Good thing she doesn’t have too.

This is a quick short novella. If you love Emily’s stuff you are really going to enjoy this.

This book just made me so damn angry!!! How could parents just sit there and think what the pastor did was ok? And then try to force their traumatized child to marry him? This hits so close to home to my own story as a child. Everyone blamed the 6 year old, but not the person who should have been to blame 😡😡 I feel so bad for Sadie! I've been in her shoes more times than I care to remember. Her reasoning for not going to church and being religious are the same as mine. I'm so thankful for the support system she has. The guys parents, them, her friends. The book also sheds a horrifying light on how women are treated when it comes to sex versus a man. Men get off scott free in scandals like what happened, but women bear the brunt of it. I'm glad most of the company and the guys stood by her. I wish that Angela and Alex would have gotten more time!

Read the trigger warnings guys coz this is heavy. Take it seriously. Some scenes are very descriptive.

It took me almost a week to finish this one. It’s very heavy on such topic. There are moments when reading this and i space out. And try to read another book to just cleanse my thoughts for a bit. And go back and read it the next day. And i hate her parents really! Their shit! I’m glad they didn’t appear up to the end. Glad Paul died, wished Leo too. It’s assuring to have a bunch of friends that is so supporting, special mention to Todd and Stacy. I need a Todd too. And especially Mason, Dean and Lance. And their parents too. Love how sassy Sadie is. The spice🔥🔥🔥🔥🌶️🌶️🌶️ who wouldn’t love RH? 😆 that would bang you 3 at the same time👀🫠

Thank you for this Author. 🤗❤️

This is a dark romance and with every book check your triggers.
I loved this book and I wish I could unread and read again.
Comm👏🏻uni👏🏻cation👏🏻
If the 4 of them were just to communicate their feeling from the beginning of their friendship the more fun they would have had 😏. I love a good Why choose romance and this 1 hit all the spots. The plot twists HELLO!!!!! Definitely wasn’t expecting that.
The way in which Emily writes her books shows the strength of these SA survivors and the different ways in which they can process their trauma. I have only recently found Emily as an Author and I can honestly say she has me questioning some of my triggers at times but everything is so well written.
Excited to see the rest of this series!!

Spice Rating: 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5
Genre: dark romance
POV: first person
Tropes & Kinks: friends to lovers, strong fmc, overcoming trauma, reverse harem, virgin fmc, touch her and die
TW: sexual assault, rape, kidnapping, mention of sexual assault to a child, forced suicide, religious trauma, recorded sex without consent (not by MCs),
Ending: Happy for Now, continued in book 2

I love the friends to lovers trope. They’ve known each other their whole lives and secretly loved each other. But of course are too worried of losing each other to actually say their feelings.
The main FMC had some horrible stuff happen when she was a child that comes back into her life. She has to yet again overcome her trauma and find her way back to her men.

Mason, Lance, and Dean finally admit that they have feelings for their best friend of 20 years, and business partner, Sadie. When angry exes team up to out their new relationship to the whole world, it brings a monster from Sadie’s past back into her life.

I really enjoyed the story of Sadie finally getting revenge against her abuser. The characters are well written and developed well, including the side characters (Stacy and Todd are my favorites!).

There was one tiny thing that felt like it didn’t fit within the story that didn’t feel like it fit with things we learned later, which is the reason I didn’t rate this 5 stars. I doubt very many other people will catch it though since it’s so small!

Emily does it again. Well developed characters you love to hate and honest real life darkness. This is not a romantic fantasy, this is real and raw. These characters could be your friends or neighbors, a true look at the humanity around us. It’s not always sunshine and roses, sometimes there is darkness and storms. Realistic trauma that unfolds in such a way you truly feel like this has happened before, and you’re just watching from the sidelines. I don’t know how she does it but she does it soo well your heart and soul is there living the plot twists and turns right along with the characters.

Another one of Emily’s books I like. This is the second ARC I’ve read of hers.

Sean, Dean, Lance, and Mason were such wonderful men and support system for Sadie, who has been through quite a lot in her lifetime. This book has a lot of triggers, so please check them before reading, cause this is really dark. Also, the spice was great as well.

This book was a short read…in length, but also just well written to the point, with a good story, plot is put together and such, that it was just enjoyable. The characters developed well and things just fit, but as others said, the ending felt a bit rushed, but I can tell there will be a part two. So I am looking forward to that.

This was the first time that I have ever read a Dark Reverse Harem Novel… so glad that this was the one to pop my cherry! 👀
First of all, make sure you read the trigger warnings. There is very detailed SA.
Next, HOT DAMN! The spice is extra spicy! 🌶️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
The story was amazing. Once I started, I could not put it down. I loved the characters, and it kept you hooked. It was full of so much emotion. You could feel the good, the bad, and the ugly. I was so happy that Sadie made it through her trauma, with the help of her 3 boyfriends, as well as her friends. In the end, Sadie took control. She is 100% a bad a$$!
Looking forward to reading more of Emily’s books!
