Rate this book
Embark on another heartfelt journey of family, friendship, and finding home again in the third book of the heartwarming Gift of Whispering Pines series.

When Ethan’s life is upended, his primary focus is to protect his three teenagers from the sting of divorce. Raised in a nurturing environment, he is determined to provide the same for his kids. Fortunately, he’s not alone—his sisters and best friend are by his side, offering unwavering support.

Juggling the roles of devoted father, business owner, and now landlord, Ethan inherits more than just property from his Aunt Celia; he inherits a chance to craft a new beginning. But when a devastating fire threatens to undo all his efforts, Ethan confronts the possibility that the hardest challenges come from within.

Betrayal and loss test him, but a camping trip with his sons sounds like the perfect escape from endless hours of work and worry. Yet the questions remain: What does Ethan need to rebuild his life? Can the bonds of old friendships and the love of family teach him to trust again?

Kimberly Diede invites us back to the complex world of this modern family as they face the relatable trials of midlife in Rebuilding Home. Follow Ethan as he navigates life’s unexpected turns, learns the power of resilience, and rediscovers the foundations of home and happiness.

⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book three in the Whispering Pines series. This book is centered around Ethan & his family. A fire occurs in one of his rental properties, and blame is placed on someone who Ethan is very close to. Since this is book three, I enjoyed continuing to read about all of the family connections, and how all of the characters are growing up within each book. #booksbyashleynicole

The next story is about Ethan acquiring Cecilia’s home after her death….and her rental properties. A fire ensues, a troubled divorce, new relationships, raising kids as a single dad and the highs and lows of friendship. I love these books about family!

I so enjoyed this one: it was un-put-downable! It was good to meet up with the people I got to know in the previous books, although I could have read it as a standalone. But it was the events that kept me turning the pages: sad stuff, worrying stuff, heart-warming stuff – I found myself caring, which was fantastic because there’s nothing like a book that compels you to read through to the end. The opening was a bit slow for my liking, but it was so worth moving past that, and I’m very glad I did. Certainly still worth 5 stars. I’m now trusting that the next one in the series will be coming out soon! Thanks for a great read.

Newly divorced Ethan Richter is just trying to keep his head above water. Jugging three kids, a construction business and managing the properties his Aunt Celia left him leaves no time for romance. But when tragedy strikes and brings his college crush back into his life, it has Ethan reconsidering. “Rebuilding Home” serves up all the things we’ve come to expect from Diede’s writing: an emphasis on family, helping others and a sweet romance. Contemporary romance readers are going love the latest installment in the Celia’s Gift Series.

I absolutely enjoyed getting to know this family! I love how each book was dedicated to a different sibling. Discovering each individual’s thoughts on Celia and her gifts were eye opening. Ethan seems to always be there to help his sisters. It was good to learn that there is more to this man than meets the eye!
