False Justice: Unveiling the Truth about Social Justice

Rate this book
Justice for all!

False Justice specifically calls for a paradigmatic shift in the way most people think about justice. Having a right paradigm of fairness is crucial to withstanding the type of deception that is rapidly permeating our culture today. False Justice equips you with the Christ-focus and the biblical backing needed to form a right and godly mindset regarding social justice.

Distinct from other Christian books about social justice, False Justice:

**has a Christ-centric focus—it defines justice in relation to Jesus Himself.
**doesn’t simply suggest methodologies, it calls for a change in the foundational paradigm of justice.
**tells how Jesus intends to bring godly justice upon the earth.
**reveals how the message of the gospel is the message of justice.

False Justice brings you closer to God by clearly revealing His desire for righteousness, honesty, and integrity in the earth, setting Christ as the ultimate vision of justice and calling you to set your attention solely on Him.

This was quite a profound and powerful books! I would read snippets of it here and there to be able to ponder and underline sections etc... Some interesting insights. He deals with poverty, justice, oppression, and governments;; but not in the ways we normally think of it. There will never be full justice while living in this world as every form of government in our 6,000 years of human history has been lead by unredeemed people.

He touched on various false messengers with their main purpose of establishing so called justice in their ideologies; Karl Marx, Jim Jones, Che Guevara, Rastafari who taught that Haile Selassie was a God, how many organizations, not just govts, are adopting the mantra "for the greater good". Some religions are are preaching justice and peace to try to unify them all under one banner.

He wrote about how some try to say that to love another is to automatically agree with them....Jesus loved everyone but didn't always agree! He talked about wonderful prayer and worship ministries, even to how Harriet Tubman was in such regular prayer that the Lord showed her where to rescue slaves.

I gained a bit of background as to why ambassadors are only stationed for short terms as to prevent them from having their affections compromised by living in a new culture for too long comparing it to having our citizenship in heaven.

Lastly, a few examples to rejoice over with revivals impacting whole communities of Almolongo, Guatemala and in Wales:)

This was the perfect book to end 2020 and begin 2021 with; especially in response to a prophetic word the Lord has put upon my heart for 2021 -- to, "not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up." (Gal. 6:9) Greaves writing is unnecessarily repetative in parts, especially the first half of the book; however, that doesn't make the book any less of a necessary read for any and all Christians who have any desire to work in social justice. And, considering all Christians should have that desire burning in their heart due to His fiery heart for the weak, broken, poor, and least of these, Stuart Greaves' False Justice, in my opinion, is essential reading for all believers. I've highlighted so many sections of this book and I could share so many that are deeply resonating or challenging me; however, I'll limit it to this one lengthy timely quote,

"Jesus held the line for truth in His ministry. In John 6, He supernaturally fed the poor, but immediately afterwards challenged the crowd's motives for following Him. He corrected them for primarily seeking Him because of His humanitarian aid, while they failed to pursue Him. In telling His disciples to eat His flesh and drink His blood, Jesus was urging them to break their allegiance with everything else; and lay everything down for His sake. After hearing this costly challenge, John 6:66 says that many deserted Him and followed Him no longer. Jesus then asked His friends, the apostles, a piercing question: "Do you also want to go away?" (John 6:67) Jesus would rather have His best friends desert Him than compromise His character or the mandate of His Father, which is to establish the glory of God and His justice in the earth. Jesus is more than a sympathetic humanitarian...

Jesus Christ is the Just One, and His people are called to witness of His justice in the way they relate to one another and the poor. Our outreach ministries and works of justice must be done through our deep loyalty to Jesus and Him alone. Jesus will not compromise who He is and what He is about. The Spirit is calling for prophetic voices that will call the church to a determined allegiance to Christ and take a stand against the false justice movement that is rapidly emerging in the earth today...

We must take a stand and hold fast to the truth of Christ, and we should have His preeminence in our hearts above any social issue that concerns us. We must pursue justice with an undying allegiance to Jesus. Our works of justice must be done His way and on His terms."

Absolutely Brilliant!

Absolutely Brilliant!

I am seeing so many spiritual leaders/prophets who, frustrated at the (social) injustices we are seeing world wide, stepping out in their own strength and so many people are following their lead.

The Word clearly states: “Unless it is the LORD who builds the house, the builders’ work is pointless. Unless it is the LORD who protects the city, the guard on duty is pointless.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭127:1‬ ‭CEB‬‬

This book is a must read for those whose hearts break at the social injustices we see daily.

This book is amazing! It was written in 2012 but it is applicable and poignant today. The main thrust of this book is that the “social Justice movement” disconnected from Christ is actually a demonic Trojan horse that the enemy is using to infiltrate the church with ideologies that are not consistent with the world. He goes into great detail to explain why this is. If you’re passionate about Justice you need to read this book, and read it with an open mind and prayerful spirit.

This is a MUST read to understand God's plan for all of us and how Satan has perverted the truth about God's word and about what Justice really is. Allow time between each chapter for honest prayer and reflection. Allow the Holy Spirit to work in your heart as you read and study. True change begins inside you.

I read this book at a pivotal time five years ago and it transformed my understanding of the Gospel.

I reread it in three days and it was just as moving, impactful, beautiful and gripping as before. I finished and felt spurred on in faith and so encouraged and convicted by the truth he shared. It’s hefty & a lot to think about and chew on, so be prepared lol

Time to buy a copy & reread every year🤘🏼🫡

I appreciated this look at justice as putting everything in right relationship with God. It is not about what the world sees as justice, and we as Christians are absolutely called to act justly and bring that to expression on earth. But oftentimes that is not the same as how the world perceives it to be. It must be aligned with the character of God and how he requires us to act.

Wonderful references

The book was insightful and powerful, but I actually bought it for the references. I am contacting the author to see if I can do some quotes for my blog.

Stuart Greaves just resigned from IHOP. He allegedly helped cover up the sexual abuse of women by Mike Bickel. Need I say more?

A better book on the topic is "Why Social Justice is not Biblical Justice".

So so so so good! I was in Stuart Justice class at IHOPU and this book was required reading. It is very eye opening and makes you think about your motives and the motives of others who do justice work. Works of Justice without God will fail. We must always remember that only God can bring true Justice and without his influence nothing can last. I would recommend this book to everyone who has a heart to see Justice.
