Meredith Wild is somewhat a new author to me. The first book that I have read of hers was On My Knees a couple years ago and ever since then it started my obsession with her Hacker Series and of course the Bridge Series. And so when I found out that she was releasing the next installment to the Bridge Series, I knew I couldn’t wait to dive back into the world of the Bridge family.
If you have read On My Knees then you are all aware that Cameron Bridge has found his happily ever after with the love of his life Maya Jacobs and this time their second chance romance would lead to holy matrimony bliss. And so in Into the Fire, readers are introduced to Cameron’s older brother Darren Bridge and Maya’s close friend, Vanessa Hawkins as they embark on Cameron and Maya wedding getaway.
“I was seeing stars and I hadn’t even come yet. I’d never been so enraptured in someone else’s pleasure. And Vanessa was like a raw nerve . Like lightning you could touch.”
Darren Bridge is living the bachelor’s life. He doesn’t do relationships and commitments. His job as a firefighter is one of his passions in life. As one of New York’s hottest firefighter, Darren has no problems in the ladies department since it seems every woman is ready to climb into his sheets except one, Vanessa.

I've just finished Into the Fire by Meredith Wild and it was A-mazing!!
If you have read any of Meredith’s books before, you know what you’re getting yourself into - basically becoming an antisocial hermit for a day or two!! Her books are THAT good!
This is book two of The Bridge series and can easily be read as a standalone! If you're a sucker, like me, for books that intertwine then you can read book one of The Bridge series On My Knees first and get even more of a feel for the characters!
Into the Fire is the story of Darren and Vanessa. It's full of highs and lows, and packed full of emotion. It's an intense read, grabbing you in the beginning until you fall hook line and sinker for it! It is ultimately a tale of love - a love that for me was intense but oh so beautiful.
Vanessa is a character that has much more to her than first meets the eye. She is smart and clued in, but a pure romantic at heart, albeit a cautious one. Darren, I have to admit was my favourite! He was dominant in all the right ways but sensitive in others, coming across as so undeserving of someone's love in the beginning. At first you think he is the ‘player’ type, but by the end you can see how that man’s loyalty shines through! He was seriously swoon-worthy!!
This story is hot as hell and had my emotions in a tailspin. I was swooning, getting damn frustrated, hating some of the characters (you know who your are), while loving others. Meredith really has one of those unique talents as a writer to draw all that out of you in a couple of hours! My interest was piqued throughout, wondering what was going to take place next! I was right there witnessing it all happening!
All in all, Into the Fire is a must read for 2016! You will be drawn in and lost to the world while you indulge in Darren and Vanessa's tale of finding love and each other.

Das Buch hatte seine Schwächen (wie bitte kann man sich zB Rippen ausrenken?!) und eigentlich würden drei Sterne wohl ausreichen, ABER ein Buch, dass ich fast komplett durchsuchte, wenn ich eigentlich nur mal kurz anlesen will... Das hat mehr Sterne verdient.
Die Charaktere sind toll! Darren ist nicht mein Traumtyp, aber er und Vanessa passen zusammen, die Chemie stimmt und Vanessa ist wirklich toll. Die Nebencharaktere sind auch super und ich muss sagen, dass ich das Buch gut lesen konnte, ohne den Vorgänger zu kennen. Und ich freue mich sehr, dass der nächste Teil direkt bereitliegt, denn ich habe Feuer gefangen und dieses Buch hat mich süchtig gemacht.

Ricompaiono i personaggi che già avevamo conosciuto nel primo libro "Ogni tuo desiderio". Maya è in procinto di sposarsi con Cameron. In occasione del matrimonio i due sposini invitano gli amici e i loro cari sull’isola di George Town. Darren, il fratello di Cameron è un playboy, vive con l’adrenalina che scorre nelle vene, è impulsivo, la sua fama di conquistatore lo precede. Non è alla ricerca del vero amore né di una ragazza fissa. È un vigile del fuoco di New York e durante il poco tempo libero gestisce assieme al fratello la palestra che porta il suo nome. Vanessa, ex collega di Maya, è una donna in carriera, lavora a Wall Street in ambito finanziario, i suoi orari di lavoro non le permettono di avere una vita sentimentale e relazionale che la appaghi pienamente. Darren e Vanessa si ritroveranno a trascorrere del tempo assieme nella romantica isola di George Town. Darren rappresenta il playboy dal quale tutti le raccomandano di stare lontana, eppure quando è in sua presenza il cuore inizia a batterle freneticamente. L’attrazione tra i due è palpabile. Ma chissà cosa accadrà al loro ritorno nella città di New York. Nella mente di Darren la domanda è sempre la stessa: com’è possibile che una persona come Vanessa riesca a prendere il controllo del suo animo tanto in fretta, senza nemmeno volerlo. La vita sentimentale di Darren è ad una svolta, così come lo è la vita lavorativa di Vanessa. Riusciranno Darren e Vanessa a trovare il loro equilibrio, a cambiare in nome del sentimento che provano l’uno per l’altra? La lettura è scorrevole e fluida e la storia è coinvolgente, merito soprattutto di una trama mai scontata e banale e di un protagonista seducente e provocante. Il personaggio di Darren in questo secondo volume della The Bridge Series mi ha colpita ed entusiasmata molto di più rispetto al personaggio di Cameron nel primo volume…

This book was to some degree better than the previous one. I still felt like a lot of the relationship between the main characters devolped from the physcial between them, rather than their feelings which came too fast. Still, I liked Vanessa as a main character way better than I did Maya, even though she was okay in this book as a side character. I also think Meredith Wild has a good intuition for what the reader wants, hence the extra scene with Maya and Cameron. When that happened in the story I was really curious about how that went, and then the author included the scene in Camerons perspective which made me really glad. The way Darren changed came as a bit of a surprise and I didn't know if he did it genuinely or just for Vanessa, so I was in doubt of his intentions, and also the way he'd let himself be intimidated by the douche, I think we all know who I mean, was for me just unnecessary since he was supposed to be this super-confident character. But, all in all, this was a heart-warming little story.

Any book that involves a sexy play-boy fire fighter, has got to be good right? Darren does not disappoint. Vanessa and Derek can't fight their attraction while at her best friends wedding. They agree to only one night, no strings attached. Vanessa knows about Darren's string of girls and goes in protecting her heart from being hurt.
This was fast read, and very enjoyable. Vanessa's boss totally gave off a creepy vibe. As much as I hated him in the story, I wanted more about his outcome at the end of the book. This huge thing was opening up involving him, but we didn't really get any resolution. Overall it was fantastic sexy read.

Be prepared to stay up late!!!! Received an arc for an honest review.......LOVED EVERY WORD!!!!!!!! Great story of another exciting couple... Appreciated the continuing story from the first book!!! The characters were captivating and I could not put the book down!!! A must read

After waiting two long years for Into The Fire, Meredith did not disappoint! This book was everything we could have ever wanted and more!!! Meredith captivates her audience from page one and she keeps you hanging on to her every word until the end of her acknowledgements!
On My Knees has been one our favorite books for the past two years and we were convinced that nothing could top that, but Meredith has out done herself!! She finds a way to reach into your soul and make you feel emotions you didn’t know you had. As always she takes you on an emotional rollercoaster ride and makes you fall deeply in love with these characters.

There is just something about those Bridge siblings that I cannot get enough of!!
Darren is the beautiful playboy - not planning to settle down and wanting to enjoy as many women in the New York area as he can. Working as a fire fighter (hot!!), and with the help of his brother Cameron's gym, Darren keeps himself in peak physical condition. The fact that he's hot doesn't hurt, either.
Vanessa is Maya's best friend. Working relentless hours has kept her dating pool small, but since she's trying to make a name for herself, she figures it's just a matter of time before she gets to relax more.
When they both have to go to Cameron and Maya's wedding, Darren comes up with a great idea - they'll enjoy the island, and each other, with no promise of a future.
The characters are real, I feel like I could know them or have met them. Watching both Vanessa and Darren fight their feelings, and make mistakes along the way, is beautiful and sad.
The Bridge Series is quickly becoming my favorite of Meredith's!!

When they both have to go to Cameron and Maya's wedding, Darren comes up with a great idea - they'll enjoy the island, and each other, with no promise of a future.
The characters are real, I feel like I could know them or have met them. Watching both Vanessa and Darren fight their feelings, and make mistakes along the way, is beautiful and sad.
The Bridge Series is quickly becoming my favorite of Meredith's!!

Die Idee von den verschiedenen Firmen und wie es bei Leuten mit hohen Posten so abgeht, fand ich echt toll und es hat sich zwischenzeitlich auch mal etwas ergeben, was ich gar nicht schlecht gefunden hätte 🤗.
Insgesamt blieb das Buch jedoch hinter meinen Erwartungen.

My last paperback of this vacation.
I enjoyed it but at the same time I'm glad I finished it.
For me there was quite a bit to much of push and pull and then how Vanessa reacted between her boss and Darren felt wrong. I kind of understand but on the otherside I would swoon so hard for him! Maybe that's a wrong thing to do in such situations but can't help it. At times it felt like they needed something to have a push fest.. I understand not every relationship is fun and games, it's also hard work but these were a bit to far.
Overal I enjoyed it and had a good time reading it. I find it very good she included the scene of Cam and Maya at the ending. It was very sweet.

Goodness!!! This book was so so so worth the wait. I fell in love with Meredith Wild’s writing since the first book On my Knees and I have been hooked since. I have read all her Hardwire series and I have been waiting for Into the Fire (like forever!). So when I finally got it I dove in right away… let me tell you, Meredith does not disappoint. I love Darren and Vanessa’s story.
Darren is a fire fighter. He is sexy, handsome and charming. He loves to save lives and is a genuinely a nice guy. Darren has a big heart but unfortunately he does not give his big heart away to women. He is a playboy/man-whore of sort who likes one-night stands and shies away from any commitment. But then Darren met the beautiful redhead Vanessa (Maya’s best friend) and he was instantly attracted to her.
Vanessa is beautiful, smart, driven and she does not fall for players… or will she? The two of them have to spend a week playing best man and maid of honor on a destination wedding for Cameron and Maya. What happens after one week in paradise and they have to get back to real life??? Darren wants to change his reputation to deserve Vanessa but eventually his past comes back to haunt him. Vanessa is falling hard for the bad boy but can she trust him and give her heart away? Then there is her boss… oh, he gave me the creeps … wink wink there is a little twist there with Vanessa’s boss.
I enjoyed both characters and I like how their relationship evolved from friends to lovers. The chemistry is scorching hot – trust that you will be left hot and bothered . Their romantic journey is a rocky one but nothing good comes easy – you have to fight for the one you love. Meredith’s writing is amazing – steady and takes you on a journey with twists and turns from beginning until the end. This story is emotionally charged - full of passion, angst, heartbreaks and love. Read this baby in one sitting.
I also enjoyed the cast of secondary characters. Vanessa’s roommate seems funny and loyal. I hope he will have his own story. Darren’s little sister is a fire ball, single with two protective big brothers – I hope there is something in the works for her as well. Also, there is a bonus in this book - we get an updates on Cameron and Maya’s stories such as the wedding and their big announcement – their love for each other is still sickly sweet.
I absolutely love this book – simply breath-taking and gorgeous love story full of feels, sweet love, hot sex, and amazing plot.

This book is Hot..Hot..Hot!
First of all, anything Meredith Wild writes is a homerun. Her books are always well written with great stories, twists and characters you fall in love with. I don't know how Meredith does it, but every book she writes is captivating and you can actually picture the characters in her books and you experience all kinds of feeling when you read her books. To me that is an author whose books I want to read!
I have a special place for this book as I live part time in Grand Cayman where the wedding takes place, I squealed when I was reading it and saw that!
All that aside, Darren and Vanessa's story had me captured from the first chapter. We got a glimpse of Vanessa in On My Knees and I love how we find out so much more about her story in Into The Fire as I was intrigued about what her story was. It was interesting to watch Darren's transformation from his so called Manwhore ways to who he becomes when he realizes whats really important. I love that we still get to see Cameron and Maya as well, as I loved Into The Fire and wanted to read more about them.
I stayed up all night reading Into The Fire as I could not put the book down.

Into The Fire was such a fantastic read. Meredith knows how to write such fantastic men. They are not perfect but that makes them more real. They are the bad boys of fiction! Darren was no exception to the bad boy persona. He was THE bad boy. The one everyone knew for having a different girl every night. So it was no surprise that Cam warned him off. But you know what happens when you earn Darren not to do something? It makes him want to do it even more!
Vanessa is Maya's best friend. Maya is with Cam, Darren's younger brother. Vanessa has always thought Darren was hot and out of reach. She knew he liked women, and knew he wouldn't change for anyone. Except what happens when he tells her he would change for her? Can she trust him?
I loved how Meredith stuck to Darren's personality after he gets with Vanessa. She doesn't make him do a complete 180. He learns as he goes and he has a lot to learn. Vanessa is patient but weary, she is afraid of a broken heart. And throw in a jerk wad of a boss and you have your conflict on top of conflict. But it worked, I loved seeing Darren go all caveman for Vanessa!!
Overall Into the Fire was a 4.5 star read. It was well written with likable characters.....except for the boss! Ha!! I'll be continuing on in this series, I can't wait to see what's in store!

This book was freaking fantastic. It was a little " naughtier" than Maya and Cam' s story. It follows Vanessa Hawkins ( Maya' s friend) and Darren Bridge and their journey in love. They have their ups and downs like most couples whether it's a new or old relationship but their attraction to one another is off the charts and you can see it when look at one another or when they are close. Vanessa is in a job that she hates and works for a boss who she can't stand but she is sticking it out because she needs a job. When her boss decides to do another business adventure her job has become a lot more, working more hours and more travel. I love the Hacker Series but the Bridge series so far is one of my favorites from Meredith. I don't want to say anymore but this book was a fantastic read.

Into the Fire is the 2nd in the Bridge series and I really enjoyed it! Darren, the older brother, the player of the family is next. Vanessa is Maya's best friend (Maya from the first book with Cameron). They both have been warned. Vanessa is a girl to add to his belt. Darren is a player, will never settle down. They try to stay away from each other but their chemistry keeps that from being denied. I enjoyed their relationship. I felt that Meredith really portrayed them really well and believable. I had a few moments of angst and heartache with what they go through. It had a good flow and I cannot wait to see more!

Im zweiten Teil der "All for you" Reihe geht es um Darren, den Bruder von Cameron, und Vanessa, die beste Freundin von Maya.
Zunächst hat mir das Buch besser gefallen als der erste Teil. Ich mochte Darren und Vanessa zusammen echt gerne und die beiden haben wirklich gut zusammengepasst. Ab der Hälfte setzte dann jedoch immer mal wieder kurze Dramen ein, die in dieser Art und Weise wirklich unnötig waren. In dieser Phase hat Vanessa auch einige Sympathiepunkte verloren. Einerseits konnte ich ihre Unsicherheit und Zweifel Darren gegenüber verstehen, andererseits waren ihre Reaktionen für mich aber auch nicht nachvollziehbar. Die Reaktionen waren zu extrem und zu übertrieben.
Insgesamt fand ich da Buch aber dennoch unterhaltsam und hatte eine ziemliche Sogwirkung, auch wenn ich an mancher Stelle ziemlich genervt war.
Der Schreibsil ist sehr angenehm und flüssig zu lesen. Nun bin ich auf die Geschichte von Olivia gespannt.

הספר הזה לפחות ברמה אחת מעל הספר הראשון בסידרה. הסיפור של דארן וונסה גם מעניין יותר וגם הדמויות מלבבות ולא מעאפנות. ביחוד חיבבתי את הדמות של וונסה, שהיא בחורה טובה, מצפונית וחמת לב בניגוד לדמות של מאיה, הגיבורה של הספר הראשון, מלכת הקרח.
למעט סצנה אחת בספר שממש התרגזתי על ההתנהגות של וונסה, היא מהווה את קול השפיות והאיזון הנשיים. דארן לעומתה, למרות היותו כנראה בחור מלבב עיניים, סובל מבעיות התנהגות קשות ומבחינתי הוא זקוק לסידרת חינוך יותר נוקשה ממה שוונסה עשתה לו.

Yet another brilliant novel from the pen of Meredith Wild.
I was given the privilege of being able to read this 2nd novel in her The Bridge series prior to release. Once again Ms Wild has kept me glued to the pages from beginning to end.
This can be read as a standalone, but I encourage you to read the first in the series On My Knees, this will give you a bit of background on the characters.
This is the story of Darren Bridge and Vanessa Hawkins, Cameron's brother and Maya's best friend. Darren is a firefighter by career and a player by pleasure. He can have whatever women he chooses. But he has his sights set on Vanessa. Vanessa is employed in a job that she hates, with a boss that treats her like nothing but a slave. She too has desires where Darren is concerned, but she is afraid to act on them because of his reputation.
This book is HOT HOT HOT!!! It is brilliant!!! My Kindle was in flames every time Darren and Vanessa were together - the looks, the touches and the sex - they just burned so brightly.
I'm not going to write anymore because if I do I will be giving away spoilers - something that I just won't do. I recommend that if you want a book to read that you just simply cannot put down - get this one and you'll thank me later for it!!!
I really look forward to reading the next book in this series - yes I'm sure that there will be a third book!!!

Holy hot damn! Lock up your daughters because Darren Bridge is on the prowl.

That line right there and DAMN you really wanted to know how Darren is in the sack! Lucky Vanessa is the one Darren has his eyes set on & their story is one you won't soon forget. Plenty of sexy heat, angst and heart gripping story line to keep you turning the pages.
"Despite his promises, despite the passion between us, I'd known full well that I was flirting with disaster. A raging fire, so beautiful and seductive that I couldn't resist – I'd walked right into it, knowing full well the risks."
This was my first Meredith Wild book and most certainly won't be my last. I love sibling book series and this involving the Bridge family, is moving up my list of favorites. Even though it's book 2, it can be read as a standalone & I didn't feel I missed anything from book 1.

I enjoyed this book greatly. I was quickly invested in the characters and enjoyed the brief visits from characters from the series' 1st book.
Vanessa is a small town girl making a life in the City. She is smart and motivated and committed to making her dreams come true. She is also fun and full of surprises. What I love most about her is that she is realistic about love and walks into romantic situations with eyes open. She makes her choices and is ready to accept the consequences.
Vanessa meets Darren and the chemistry is instant...but his reputation with women proceeds him. Vanessa is cautious with him and yet still allows herself to be vulnerable. Watching these 2 navigate the present while the past haunts them was an amazing adventure!

This book was ON FIRE!!! Hot, hot, hot. Quickly you realize this Bridge brother is something special. I loved reading Vanessa & Darren's story. You go through the relationship, the ups and downs and the twists and turns right along with them.
I found myself on many occasions eager to know what happened next and I'd be on the edge of my seat. I love when a book takes your emotions and wraps them with the characters. You feel like you're a part of the story, feeling everything. This by far is my favorite brother!

Cari lettori del Confine, oggi finalmente vi parlo del secondo volume della “The Bridge series” dell'autrice Meredith Wild, dal titolo "Tra le fiamme". Nel primo volume abbiamo conosciuto uno dei fratelli Bridge, Cameron, in questa storia conosceremo meglio Darren.
Darren Bridge è un vero e proprio donnaiolo, il suo lavoro è quello di vigile del fuoco e nel tempo libero aiuta il fratello Cameron con alcune mansioni in palestra, luogo dove ha la possibilità di incontrare parecchie donne con cui divertirsi, una botta e via, perché sprecarsi nel cercare una relazione quando i sentimenti non fanno per lui. Fino a quando però conosce Vanessa, una bomba sexy dai capelli rossi. È bastato uno sguardo per desiderare la donna nel suo letto anche solo per una sera. C'è solo un piccolo problema, lei è la migliore amica di sua cognata Maya, e sia lei che il fratello gli hanno intimato di non toccarla.
Vanessa Hawkins lavora in un ufficio a Wall Street, non ha un giorno libero da anni, vive per il lavoro ed è stanca, così quando la sua amica Maya decide di sposarsi in un posto da sogno, con la scusa del matrimonio si concede una bella vacanza da tutto. Non ha messo in conto però il fratello dello sposo, il sexy pompiere da cui si sente attratta, ma ha paura di farsi male. Amiche lettrici, ammetto che questo secondo volume della serie mi è piaciuto meno del primo. Ho trovato la storia molto scontata anche nei colpi di scena, molte cose mi aspettavo accadessero già dalle prime pagine, mancava proprio lo stupore che ogni lettore ha nella scoperta delle vicende. Darren e Vanessa sono la tipica coppia formata dal playboy e la brava ragazza dedita al lavoro, mi aspettavo qualcosa di più. Nel primo libro sembrava che entrambi stessero nascondendo qualcosa di grosso, invece non è stato niente di che, o almeno niente che potesse stravolgere la trama o l'evolversi della coppia. Devo dire che se non fosse stato per lo stile della scrittrice e il fatto che si legge in modo scorrevole e veloce avrei abbandonato la lettura già dalla metà. La prima parte, che riguarda il matrimonio, l'ho trovata molto meglio della seconda. Mi dispiace perché Vanessa era un personaggio che, nella storia di Maya, mi era piaciuta e speravo in molto di più su di lei.
Ma ragazze, attenzione, questo libro va letto in ogni caso se volete concludere la serie, perché introduce qualcosa per quanto riguarda la prossima storia. Quindi, mie care lettrici, riprendete il viaggio alla scoperta dei fratelli Bridge, la storia di Darren e Vanessa aspetta solo voi. Buona lettura e a presto.
Darren Bridge è un vero e proprio donnaiolo, il suo lavoro è quello di vigile del fuoco e nel tempo libero aiuta il fratello Cameron con alcune mansioni in palestra, luogo dove ha la possibilità di incontrare parecchie donne con cui divertirsi, una botta e via, perché sprecarsi nel cercare una relazione quando i sentimenti non fanno per lui. Fino a quando però conosce Vanessa, una bomba sexy dai capelli rossi. È bastato uno sguardo per desiderare la donna nel suo letto anche solo per una sera. C'è solo un piccolo problema, lei è la migliore amica di sua cognata Maya, e sia lei che il fratello gli hanno intimato di non toccarla.
Vanessa Hawkins lavora in un ufficio a Wall Street, non ha un giorno libero da anni, vive per il lavoro ed è stanca, così quando la sua amica Maya decide di sposarsi in un posto da sogno, con la scusa del matrimonio si concede una bella vacanza da tutto. Non ha messo in conto però il fratello dello sposo, il sexy pompiere da cui si sente attratta, ma ha paura di farsi male. A lui non interessano le storie serie, però vivere così vicini e a stretto contatto per una settimana non sarà facile. E se i due si concedessero di viversi almeno in questa vacanza, cosa potrà succedere al loro ritorno alla realtà? Vanessa sa benissimo a cosa va incontro, lui è un playboy e non può fidarsi, ma se Darren volesse provare a far funzionare le cose con lei, riuscirebbe a farla ricredere sulla sua reputazione?
Amiche lettrici, ammetto che questo secondo volume della serie mi è piaciuto meno del primo. Ho trovato la storia molto scontata anche nei colpi di scena, molte cose mi aspettavo accadessero già dalle prime pagine, mancava proprio lo stupore che ogni lettore ha nella scoperta delle vicende. Darren e Vanessa sono la tipica coppia formata dal playboy e la brava ragazza dedita al lavoro, mi aspettavo qualcosa di più. Nel primo libro sembrava che entrambi stessero nascondendo qualcosa di grosso, invece non è stato niente di che, o almeno niente che potesse stravolgere la trama o l'evolversi della coppia. Devo dire che se non fosse stato per lo stile della scrittrice e il fatto che si legge in modo scorrevole e veloce avrei abbandonato la lettura già dalla metà. La prima parte, che riguarda il matrimonio, l'ho trovata molto meglio della seconda. Mi dispiace perché Vanessa era un personaggio che, nella storia di Maya, mi era piaciuta e speravo in molto di più su di lei.
Ma ragazze, attenzione, questo libro va letto in ogni caso se volete concludere la serie, perché introduce qualcosa per quanto riguarda la prossima storia. Quindi, mie care lettrici, riprendete il viaggio alla scoperta dei fratelli Bridge, la storia di Darren e Vanessa aspetta solo voi. Buona lettura e a presto.

Now, I am no stranger to Meredith Wild’s books. I’ve read and loved her Hacker Series, so when I heard about The Bridge Series, I could not wait to dive in. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed. This book had everything I was looking for. From sex, to romance, to drama; this book has it all!
Into The Fire is the second book in The Bridge Series but can totally be read as a stand-alone. Told from dual points of view, Into The Fire follows the story of Darren and Vanessa. From the moment we first meet Darren and Vanessa, their chemistry and pull to one another is so strong, you just know the two of them together are going to be off the charts. You see, Darren is used to getting everything that he wants and the one woman he wants is considered off limits. However, Darren has had enough waiting. He wants Vanessa and he will stop at nothing to have her….Vanessa knows that Darren is bad news, but she can’t fight the pull that she feels towards him. When she agrees to give him one night, she had no idea just how that one night would change things…..
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It was fast-paced and entertaining. I love stories where the bad-boy/player falls for the girl that’s out of his league and this one definitely hit all my marks. I loved seeing Darren and Vanessa together. Vanessa brought out a side in Darren that he wasn’t used to. She made him possessive, alpha and determined. She made Darren want to change and take a chance on love and in return, Darren made her live.
Into The Fire is an exciting addition to The Bridge Series. It was fun, sexy, and entertaining, with just the right amount of steam and drama. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in this series! Fans of Meredith Wild, you will not be disappointed!!

I wish I could give this book more than five stars, cause it will set your body aflame!!! But lets face it... Meredith ALWAYS writes a story that gives you the warm fuzzies in all the right places. Her characters will suck you in, and you are brought into their world.
Darren Bridge is this SCRUMPTIOUS Firefighter that is living his life to the fullest. He has New York by the balls, and leaves the ladies craving for more. His love for his siblings is unconditional, and helping his brother with his gym ha has kept him in tip top shape. But, he starts to realize that he is missing something in his life, and figuring it out will be even harder.
Vanessa Hawkins is Mayas best friend. She has lied in NYC for a while, and trying to work her way up in the finance district is more than what she bargained for. Working long hours, and has a prick as a boss can take its toll. But with Maya and Cam's wedding coming up she is ready to let lose and have a good time.
What happens when you have a Destination Wedding???? Sand, Sun, and a whole lot of Alcohol can make some crazy things happen. Darren is trying to win over Vanessa with having something a little casual, but he has no idea what he's in for. Sometime the love bug will bite you right in the a$$. The one thing I love about this couple is the fun they have. They have this soul deep connection that drives you crazy at times. Like you seriously want to reach in a slap some sense into them. Darren's got a colorful past that Vanessa has a problem dealing with, but she has no idea what kind of problems she is about to really have.
This book can be read as a stand-alone, but you really should start with ON MY KNEES, and walk through Maya and Cameron journey. Their sister Liv will be next, and I can't flipping wait. I bet she's going to be a lot of fun, or a pain in the a$$. I haven't quite figured her out yet.
