Drake sung, “Started at the bottom but now I’m here,” and if that saying was a person, Jai is the perfect example.
When truths are revealed, it sends Jaire reeling onto a new ever-changing path, beckoning the right changes to his life. Going from the corner thug to the corporate plug is a smooth transition but not without some fall back. It doesn’t sway Jai one way or the other, especially since he’s ready to show the underground world just how he roll. But when his notorious enemies tries to strike, they eff around and find out that Jai is not the same ol’ Jai that they’re used to.
In this robust and candid African American urban fiction finale, greed, betrayal, and jealousy reign supreme while love, lust, and loyalty rain vibrant in Jaire’s and Justice’s lives while facing life challenges in multiple ways. Will they be able to bear the cross that they have to carry? Or will they succumb at the hands of their enemies? Check out book two of this series and discover how Jai and Justice sweep the hands they are dealt.
I enjoyed this series i'm glad that Justice got her happily ever after. Im so happy that she spoke up and told Jai the real deal about that slut bucket so called gf. Tania she got what she desrved I dont condone domestic violence. She was all for self and about a dollar going to the highest bidder. She should have told Jai that Slydell was her ex. Her jealousy, greed, was jus crazy. Glad Justice tagged that head . Yara got her good she was cool and all but I didn't like her for Jai. Yara was really wromg for not telling him about the baby even tho her body her choice she still should told him. Slick should have had hands put on him. His jealousy, lies ,envy was very unnecessary he was trying to hold Jai back jus to have control over him his greed got him killed. I just loved Apollo soo happy he was able to get with his true luv. He jus kept mt lol. Jai jumped into action and made Apollos empire even better. Took over with ease, loved how humble and low key he was even after he got put into a position of power, When justice who's attacked, he was right there for her, every step of the way they had a strong vibe and I'm glad they acted on it and finally told each other their true feelings. Above them together as a couple, i'm glad they got to act on it and be together. Shari you do really great work. Looking forward to more❤️❤️
This really could have been one book. The second installment kind of ruined the 5 stars for the series for me. The author killed off all the enemies at the beginning of the book so the rest of the book was just fluff, it became pretty boring. If she was gone do that it could have just been 1 book and this would have been a good ending. There was no reason to break it up, also I wish that the villains could have lived maybe in jail or something. Death is just too easy, esp for Taina she should have had to live knowing she lost everything. That’s just my opinion. I really did like Jaire, but he didn’t seem like he should’ve been a drug dealer, I wish he had a different profession. Something legit but I guess this is the only storyline we can get for successful black men. 🤷🏿♀️🤷🏿♀️ it was a missed opportunity for this character imo. But the second book wasn’t anywhere near as good as the first installment. Overall it was ok.
OMG I loved reading from A Lame Thug,To a Corporate Plug 2
I loved Jaire and Justice love story the had so many ups and downs. I can't believe Bailey one of her best friend twin sister tried to kill her because she was sleeping with him behind her back. Bailey was jealous of her relationship she had with her ex a boyfriend Noah. Justice ended up in the ICU and losing her memory and almost dieing. I loved the relationship he developed with his father Tyrus and finding out about his mother Naomi and they loved him. Yarai had and abortion and wasn't going to tell Jaire about it so how her father Cisco told him. Now Jaire and Justice are married with two kids Jaire and Tyla. Apollo and Dana got married Justice uncle to his lost love. Would love to read a spin-off book on Brellie or Yara. Will definitely read another book by Shari B
Yara and Jaire’s whole situation was silly for the book. The memory loss didn’t make sense. Justice lost her memory, she didn’t remember her on again off again boyfriend of 2 years, but she remembered her childhood friend Yara and Jaire who she has known less than a year…huh…I understand the memory loss was like a gateway for her and Jaire to get together because then it’s like she didn’t betray Yara intentionally…I guess, the whole Bailey situation was predictable but left field. The villians turned on each other. I wish Jaire had been more ruthless and the book portrayed him as a powerful kingpin out to get everyone who got him. But no, it was nothing like that. He was weak and not fit for the position
You know what sis I loved how this all played out. All the delulu people caught the karma early lol. I’m Yara didn’t hold a grudge against Jai and Ju that was real of her. Bailey was a whole psychopath out here and Noah was trash asf, he played with Justice and his end although unexpectedly he shouldn’t have been out here moving foul. Jaire and Justice warmed my heart so much and I’m so happy for them💙 Great job as always and can’t wait to see what you do next!!
I loved this series and I am glad that Jaire got the family he always wanted and he and Jus got the love they both deserved. I felt bad for Yara but I don’t think they were really meant to be together. I wish that hoe Bailey got her wig pushed back with her hating jealous a**. Taina, Slick, and Noah wasn’t sh*t. Glad the other two got what they deserved but I don’t think Noah deserved to be killed but I guess that was his karma. Overall it was a very great story.
Shari, good read. First, let me say thank you for giving Noah, Slick and Tiana their just karma. I feel Justice and Jaire are made for one another. Yara, is a stand up lady. Brie is a good friend, I was glad she was a different kind of person. Justice grew up as well as Jaire. Apollo found his peace in his life. Everyone got their just karma 🤗🤗🤗🤗
I so happy for Jaire and Justice. I liked Yara but not for Jaire. I'm glad there were no bad blood between them when Yara found out. I'm glad everyone that needed to be handled was handled except Bailey. I knew she was on some shady shyt but never thought she would take it that far. I hope whatever hole she hiding in karma finds it and collapses it. This was a great read.💕💕
I'm happy that Justice don't remember what Bailey done to her. I think it might of put a strain on her and Brielle friendship. All the snakes 🐍are gone. I don't know why Taina thought she was a gangsta. Jaire getting to meet his father that was awesome. I'm happy they are in each other lives. Apollo got married
That was a lot! The only thing I didn’t like was Jaire and Yara hooking up. I felt bad for Yara. I wish they had never hooked up. That was more time that could’ve been spent on Jaire and Justice. I felt cheated a little bit because it felt like they were just thrown together at the end. I wish more time had been dedicated to their love story.
Really enjoyed Justice and Jaire. There was lots of drama , lies and secrets that made the series so good.. I waa glad Jaire handled Taina, and Bailey was definitely insane. Flowing storyline definitely made the series sooo good. Excellent job
This was a fast paced book. People got handled real quick but I need to know about the other twin show she just disappeared in the book with the stuff she did. It has to be another book that was left unfinished. Great book book I feel something was missing.
Part two was really good. I could really feel Jaire and Justice's love story. Yara was a class act and I hope she found her happily ever after. I really enjoyed the little twist with Noah and Bailey.
Baby when Jaire became plug, he came out swinging the bde and he definitely was a alpha male who knew what and who he wanted and wasn’t afraid of love. I am glad that his other situationship was handled maturely. Jaire and Justice was good for each other.
Loved Justice and Jaire. Happy he was able to get HEA. I don’t like the fact that Bailey was able to just leave town an after what she did. But glad everyone that needed to be dealt with was handled.
This was a great ending, I loved it from start to finish. I happy to Jai and Justice got their happy ending. This was a great finale you won’t be disappointed.
These 2 books are awesome. I stayed up Late night reading these books then Waking up 1st thing in the morning to continue. This is my second time reading this book
That was awesome. They tried to take Jai down but he had a strong support behind him. And Bailey took me completely by surprise man. Dangggg Please Read Awesome
