You never know who’s watching…

Former FBI profiler turned teacher, Elizabeth Gilmore, is rocked to her core when she witnesses a shooting at her college, leaving one of her fellow professors dead. Shaken, she accepts the help of the one man who hasn’t left her thoughts in years—the man whose actions destroyed her family. As danger continues to follow Elizabeth, she begins to wonder if the shooting wasn’t a random attack.

Tucker Clayman escaped his past by pouring his soul into training therapy dogs to aid in the recovery of injured veterans and law enforcement. He buried his true feelings for Elizabeth years ago, but as he whisks her and her child back to Crossroads Mountain Retreat tucked away in the Smoky Mountains, he can’t deny the way his heart soars when she’s near. He can never make up for the past, but he’ll try his hardest to protect her and her daughter.

Together, they must uncover the stalker while fighting their growing attraction. Tucker doesn’t want to hurt Elizabeth more than he already has. Elizabeth might have forgiven Tucker, but she’ll never forget. When the killer makes his final strike, Tucker will move mountains to keep her safe…and finally tell her exactly how he feels.

Crossroads of Obsession is the fourth book in this series but I was able to enjoy it without having read the rest in the series. Danielle M. Haas builds a world that stands on it's own.

Elizabeth is a former FBI profiler and a single mother now working as a professor at a local college. She's tried making friends but raising her daughter and moving past the line of duty death of her daughter's father (Gary) has taken priority for the past several years of Elizabeth's life. When shots ring out on the campus where she works and a coworker is killed, Elizabeth is reeling. Thankfully, a former friend, Tucker, and his canine companion are there to help her along the way, especially when a sinister plot comes to light.

Tucker has loved Lizzie for years. He was Gary's partner on the force and the three of them were the three musketeers, until a decision he made cost Gary his life. He's been tormented by the decisions that took both Gary and Elizabeth from him and they avoid each other as much as possible. When she's in danger, he can't stay away any longer.

This is a layered story full of complex emotions, suspense and a great deal of heart. I loved the therapy dog component of the story and personally know how much comfort these four legged friends bring to our lives. Aubrey was adorable and a character unto herself! This is what I'd call a "clean" story. Very few intimate moments and those that were are behind closed doors but you felt the love all the same. It's a bit of an instalove story as well because the relationship appears to develop quickly but really they have years of history together. Great story.

Always a pleasure to know new authors and to fall in love with their writing.
Danielle M Haas is new to me, but from the reviews I've read, I knew that I needed to see for myself and I'm so glad I did.
Her writing is surrounded by suspense as well as love and so many emotions into the mix.
I'm in love with just one book.
Crossroads of Obsession is her latest release and it's the fourth book from the Injured Pride Series.
A series that I will read from the beginning, that's for sure.
This book explores the lives of Elizabeth and Tucker.
These two are no strangers to each other, but circumstances made them lose contact.
Elizabeth is a former FBI agent that opted to leave that life behind and focus only on her daughter.
She's happy that way but when she witnesses a crime at the college she teaches...
Tucker's only way to escape his tumultuous past was to focus his day's training therapy dogs to be able to aid in the recovery of injured veterans and law enforcement.
He was in love with Elizabeth but opted to shut those feelings down.
When he takes both mom and child to his house in order to protect them...
I'm in love.
I'm so in love with this book that I'm sad it's over.
Elizabeth, despite the pain she endured, had an amazing family surrounding her and her daughter.
They were loved by many and it hurt to see someone wanting to hurt them.
And I love protector Tucker. Despite the pain, he still felt regarding losing his friend, his love for Elizabeth was so much stronger.
The level of suspense in this book is super high and will leave you shaking. Just saying.
These two share an amazing chemistry and it shows in every single chapter.
Audrey is a joy. She's super sweet and cute. So freaking cute.
And the dogs... Be still my heart. Love those furbabies.
I was so into the story that I didn't see the hours passing by. I've read this in one sitting and loved everything.
Oh, Danielle. I loved this book and I can't wait to start reading the other three books from this series.
I want more.   I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Crossroads of Obsession by Danielle M Haas

Elizabeth Gilmore is a professor and former FBI agent who switched careers with the death of her husband as she knew she needed to be there for her daughter, Audrey. When her fellow professor Paul Stevens is killed beside her she is shocked and her life is somewhat turned upside down.

Tucker Clayman works at Crossroads Mountain Retreat after leaving his career as an officer after the death of his partner and the fact that a decision Tucker made led to his death. Now he lives with the guilt and tries to stay away from Elizabeth so he doesn’t cause her more pain.

When Tucker realizes that Elizabeth could be in danger he will do anything he can to protect her, knowing he is to blame for the death of her husband. Will he be able to keep her and Audrey safe when he couldn’t save her husband?

This was the first time I read this author and I really enjoyed the book.

I liked Elizabeth and I understood why she held onto so much anger towards Tucker and his dog Otto, but I also thought that enough time had gone by and she had already lost so much. I was happy when she accepted his help after the death of her co-worker and discovering some things at home that weren’t right.

I thought Tucker was a great character who was going to do everything in his power to keep Elizabeth and Audrey safe. I loved his work with the dogs and how well liked he was by everyone at Crossroads.

I was somewhat surprised how the killer was able to keep one step ahead of Tucker and the other police for so long. He seemed to be able to figure things out ahead of everyone else for so long which really surprised me.

I did really enjoy this book and will definitely have to go back to the beginning and catch up on what I have missed!

This series gets better w/each book! This is definitely my favorite so far. Elizabeth, a former FBI profiler is a single mother, she lost her husband shortly after they were married & when she was 5 months pregnant. After her husband’s death she took a teaching job at a local college to be w/her daughter more. It’s been 4 years since her husband’s death, & she’s put walls up & kept her anger towards the person she felt responsible alive. But when there’s a shooting at her college, the person she least expects & wants is the first person she turns to. Tucker, has been living w/the guilt & hurt over his best friend’s death. But when he hears about the shooting, he immediately has to get to the college. He needs to see Elizabeth & make sure she’s ok. He’s loved her since he first saw her, but when his best friend claimed her, he stepped back, but his feelings never changed. Now that she’s in danger he won’t stop at doing everything he can to protect her & her little girl. And when more evidence comes to light that it wasn’t a random shooting, & Elizabeth starts getting messages, he vows to do anything to protect them.
This was such a good book, kept me in suspense right until the end. I had a few guesses about who the suspect was, but I kept bouncing between 2 people. And that ending! I cried a little when Tucker gifted Audrey her present & also the gift he gave to Elizabeth! My heart cracked when he vowed to love Audrey every day & remind her of her dad.
Definitely check this book out, you won’t be disappointed!

Crossroads of Obsession is the fourth instalment in the injured pride series by Danielle M Haas and I was lucky enough to get to read this in advance to the release date. I hadn’t read the other stories prior to this but it didn’t matter with this stand-alone suspense romance novel.

I really enjoyed the story and was engaged right from the get-go. The topics were relatable as a mother and could feel her emotions and reasoning thorough out the book. The suspense was interesting and kept me wondering what would happen next to the main characters Elizabeth and Tucker.

Elizabeth’s character was strong and determined and even through diversity she continued to be the best mother she could be to her daughter. Tucker on the other hand, is determined to help Elizabeth with a stalker on the loose to protect both her and her daughter at any costs.

The romance side of the novel was slow burning but beautiful. Elizabeth and Tucker had a real connection, and their chemistry was palpable. I found myself rooting for them even before it looked like they were going to become a couple.

Danielle has done a fabulous job writing such an amazing story about love, loss, heartache and terror. I would definitely recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys suspense romance stories with HEA. 5🖤Rating.

I really love the way Danielle M. Haas combines her romance with the suspenseful plot, as it never slowed down which is totally my jam at the end of the day. Elizabeth is a former FBI profiler who changed her careers after her daughter was born since she lost her husband so she wants to play it safe for her precious tiny human. Tucker is former police who has slowed his life down by leaving that dangerous career (and trust me there's more to that story that I'm not about to reveal) & now works at the Crossroads Mountain Retreat with all the amazing dogs. He also has the best dog Otto, who stole the show at all times alongside Elizabeth's tiny human as they united LOL! Tucker & Elizabeth have a complicated past with a lot of pain to it, but when she needed him after witnessing a shooting at the college she works at, he was right there. He stayed because as it turned out she has a dangerous stalker who is escalating to new heights, and things are definitely getting really dangerous. The suspense was on point & the twists kept me guessing until the very end, and like I said above, this story never slowed down with a kicker of Elizabeth getting a second chance at love in her life but the question is, will she accept it?! LOVED every minute of this exciting story, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

How does every book in this series make me love it more? I did not want to adult while I was reading this and was definitely a little annoyed when I had to stop reading before, I was done. Tucker and Otto wiggled their way into our hearts in previous books but are you ready to learn what makes them a perfect fit at Crossroads? We met Lizzie when Tucker reluctantly called her to come help in the investigation in Delusion and I knew that their story would be interesting. Lizzie and her daughter and being targeted by a stalker and the one person she hasn’t let herself rely on is the one person she needs/wants to trust with everything. This book has all the feelings and suspense that make this series great. I recommend this whole series and I hope that you’ll take the time to read it because it quickly became a favorite of mine and Dannielle has become one of my one-click recommended authors! If you start with this one, I don't think you'll get enough spoilers from the previous books that you won't be able to enjoy them but if you have time start catching up now. You'll probably be caught up before this one releases!

Elizabeth Gilmore retired as an FBI profiler for the safer career as a college professor, as she is solely responsible for her young daughter, Audrey. She felt safe there until a fire drill resulted in the murder of one of her colleagues. Tucker Clayman heard the response of law enforcement to the college and sped there to check on Lizzie. He loved her at first sight, but his friend Gary spoke first and he watched as they married. He still feels responsible for his friend’s death when as police officers Tucker ran into a building to save his dog, Gary followed him, but didn’t make it out alive. When someone tries to kidnap Audrey, that is only the beginning of the terror that Lizzie faces as she has a stalker who knows everything about her. The flowers, the gifts and the notes that express that they will soon be together as a family. As Tucker tries to keep them safe, she realizes that she is still attracted to him and has made him feel responsible for her Gary’s death, when he wasn’t. If they survive her stalker, is there a chance for them? I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation, from the author, for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)

I have really been enjoying the Injured Pride series and Tucker Clayman has been a great supporting character so I was thrilled that he finally got his story. Tucker has had a tragic incident in his past that led him to working with the emotional support dogs at the Crossroads Mountain Retreat. He has found some peace here yet the past is always on his mind. Enter into the picture Elizabeth Gilmore, an important woman from his past that has had a hold of his heart since he first met her. It has been a few years since they parted after the tragic death of Elizabeth's husband who was also Tucker's partner. Since that time Elizabeth has been a single mother raising her adorable daughter Audrey and working as a professor at a local university. When danger surrounds Elizabeth and her daughter, she reluctantly accepts Tucker's offer of help. Along with the police and the Crossroads Mountain Retreat family, everyone works to find out who is stalking Elizabeth and Audrey and why. What a great story this was! Equal parts heartbreaking and hopeful with plenty of laughter sprinkled throughout. I adore a good second chance romance and add to that the suspense and Crossroads of Obsession is the perfect book to get lost in!

Crossroads of Obsession is the fourth book of the Injured Pride series by Danielle M. Haas. The book follows Elizabeth Gilmore, a former FBI profiler turned professor and Tucker Clayman, a therapy dog trainer. Elizabeth witnesses the death of her colleague and founds out she has a stalker. Tucker buried his feelings for Elizabeth a long time ago, but that doesn’t meant he can’t do everything in his power to protect Elizabeth and her daughter.

If you are looking for a suspenseful read, than this book may be for you!

This book was more suspense than romance. Although it can be read as a standalone I felt like I was missing pieces of their past even if it was mentioned. This book is written in third person pov and because of that I felt like it was a bit hard to grasp their chemistry.

It was still an enjoyable read, I just wish there was a little bit more romance than suspense. This book was very PG BUT it was a pretty good suspense book.

Thank you Wildfire Marketing for providing me with this ARC.

Crossroads of Obsession is yet another winner in the Injured Heroes series. Its tension and suspense build with each chapter. Elizabeth Gilmore and Tucker Claymore have a history; both good and bad. His best friend and partner was her husband. They shared many good times together but it came to an abrupt halt when Tucker was responsible for his partner's death. Mired in grief Elizabeth pulled away from Tucker and focused on the impending birth of her child. Fast forward five years, they're thrown together again when Elizabeth and her daughter becomes a stalker's obsession. As usual, Ms Haas points you towards several different probable suspects by dropping seeds of doubt for each. The Crossroads Retreat family takes both Lizzie and Audrey under their wing and Tucker is never far away. The more they work on putting pieces of the puzzle together the closer they become. Well placedords of advice and wisdom from several quarters finally have these two understanding that they belong together. Now they just have to eliminate the threat.

This is a series that just gets better with every book that is released and I find that isn't the norm but there is no coasting along with Danielle every book is tight with twists and turns that keep you fully involved and this is no exception. We met Tucker and Otto in earlier books and we even had a glimpse of Lizzie in Crossroads of Delusion but now we get their full story. There is history between these two Tucker believes he caused the death of Lizzies husband and his partner and Otto had a lot to do with it and he is still carrying that guilt especial, the fact that Lizzies daughter Audrey will never get to meet her father because of it. Now with Lizzie in danger Tucker will steep up to protect her no matter how much Lizzie has pulled away in the past and has they spend time together Lizzie will wonder why she pulled away at all. Can he keep her a Audrey safe and can Lizzie learn to accept Otto and will they build a future together You will have to read to see

Yet another great book in the Injured Pride Series

Danielle did another amazing job with pulling me in and getting me invested in these characters. Just like the other books in the Injured Pride Series, this book kept me on the edge of my seat with its suspense which in turn made it hard for me to put down once I started. One thing about this book that has probably made it one of my favorite so far in the series (although I don’t know how I can choose since I have loved them all for different reasons) was the addition of Aubrey and Otto. The relationship they had is probably my favorite relationship so far. I love Crossroads Mountain Retreat and all the people from the previous three books. I honestly loved how they all came back into play in this book and that’s one thing that I love about this series is being able to continue to see characters that I have fallen in love with show back up in these subsequent books.

Absolutely loved it! Another fantastic addition to the Injured Pride series. Excitement, danger, suspense, serious emotional entanglements, romance, dogs, and a precious little girl round out this great story.

Lizzie and Tucker have a complicated past including, anger, regrets, and resentment with lots of fond memories intertwined. These two have to resolve their past issues to have any hope for a future together. When Lizzie and Audrey are placed in danger, Tucker and his dog Otto are front and center. Man and dog will do whatever it takes to protect them both. There are plenty of starts and stops as Tucker and Lizzie work together to eliminate the danger surrounding her and her daughter and fight for their future happiness. This book is another page-turner that will keep you enthralled until the end.

We loved this one! First off we have to say that it was impossible to not fall in love with little Audrey she was such a precious beautiful child. Elizabeth and Tucker's story was emotional and heart felt and so very tragic.

Circumstances brought Elizabeth and Tucker into each other's path once again. No matter the time and energy that Elizabeth put in hating Tucker her real feelings that she kept down and deep and buried were about to come bubbling to the surface and there would be no turning back.

Loved the support system that Audrey and Elizabeth had they were loved so much by so many. Loved seeing Tucker and Elizabeth and Audrey together they made a beautiful family including Otto. It was beautiful how they finally were able to explore and comfort one another and in so many ways heel from the past and once and for all to move forward.

The chemistry between this couple was the sweet kind.
The story was suspenseful and emotional and tugged on so many of the emotions of the reader. Loved how that worked together and reverted to the past careers to make things safe for them all.

We had to say we were constantly trying to figure out who was trying to destroy Elizabeth's family and when it was all said and done we were blown away knowing we not even close to uncovering the real culprit. If we hadn't fallen in love with the plot its characters and the amazing friendships this couple had the conclusion had us falling in love with these characters all over again we absolutely loved it.

Elizabeth is a single mom and works as a teacher. One day the fire alarm goes off and in the panic one of the teachers is shot. Tucker who was friends with Elizabeth and her husband years ago comes to her rescue. He takes her and her daughter Audrey to a friends retreat for the night since her bag and everything is still at school so she cant use her car or go home. When they return to her house the next day after collecting her things someone has been in the house while she's been away. Now Elizabeth and Tucker need to find who her stalker is her and her daughter can be safe. Danielle keeps you turning the pages with all the twists and turns throughout the story.

A great story

Tucker and Lizzie. Tucker has been present in all the books and part of helping solve each couples problems. Him and Otto have been key to the emotions and finding of people. Now he is back with Lizzie in his most important task, saving her and her daughter. Lizzie was introduced in the last book and so was their tense history. Now they face their history, grief and new emotions as they work to solve who is behind terrorizing her and her daughter. The story takes a lot of twists on finding the bad guy and it is fascinating how simple actions and background can be shaped to be concerning. The ending danger scenes are vivid and fraught with that joke your breath moment of what is going to happen. Otto is an all star in the series, but especially that moment. The epilogue is precious and beautifully done.

Elizabeth and Tucker have a complicated history. Tucker was her husband Gary's partner at the time he was shot and killed. Since then, Elizabeth has kept her distance from Tucker while starting a new career and raising her daughter. Tucker has been working at Crossroads Mountain Retreat while working through his emotional issues.

When a fellow professor of Elizabeth's is shot at the college and Tucker shows up, he offers to help her. And when events escalate, he wants to help protect her and her daughter. At the same time, they both have to deal with their attraction to each other.

This is a great addition to this series and was a very emotional read. Little Audrey was just precious. There was also a lot of suspense as they searched for the stalker.

I have been waiting for Tucker's book for a while now and the wait for worth it. As expected from Danielle the book was thrilling and I couldn't keep it aside till the end. I was at the edge eager to know how everything would unravel. Tucker has blamed himself for Elizabeth's miseries and lives with guilt but he will do everything to protect Lizzie and Audery. I was in love with Audery and Otto. These both deserved the happiness and I loved reading there relationship build. My heart melted by the end for them. It was yet another heart wrenching emotional read which left me emotionally drained in a good way.
Cannot wait for Grace and Zeke's book next.

4.5 stars!

Daniell M. Haas was a new-to-me author with this new release, but as a romantic suspense junkie, I will definitely be reading more of her books. This book is the fourth in this series. However, you can read it as a standalone without any issues (BUT I must admit I’ve already started reading the previous books in order because I liked this one so much!). The characters and plot pulled me in from page one, and Otto was just the icing on the cake. (OK, Audrey was too.) The story had many red herrings, so I couldn’t easily pinpoint the villain, and that’s always a plus for me when reading romantic suspense. Now, if you need me, I’m working my way through the previous books and can’t wait to get back to them.

Loved this book, and loved this series..When a random shooting takes the life of one of Elizabeth’s coworker she’s shocked to say the least. Tucker comes to make sure she’s ok. Elizabeth leans on him, but ever since her husband died she has had a strained relationship with him. All friendship. Her daughter always comes first, and Tucker knows that.
Tucker trains therapy dogs. When he hears what happens to Lizzie he has to make sure she’s ok. He will protect her, and Audrey her daughter at all costs. He still blames himself for the death of her husband.

I adored the ending. It was heartwarming.

Wow this was so good!!
This was about Elizabeth and her daughter, Audrey who were the target of an obsessed man and Tucker who had history with Elizabeth but swore to protect her.
Such a great mystery, with a few twists and turns. Loads of drama and very intense but best of all I loved the romance of the relationship. These two really had chemistry and with the addition of her daughter Audrey and his dog Otto, it really made the story have more impact.
Really well done with amazing team spirit and great characters this was a really wonderful story. Highly recommended!!

This is another great addition to the Injured Pride series!
Elizabeth is a work when a shooter kills one of her co-workers while she is with him.
Tucker happens to be in the area and comes to check on her.
She leans on him to help her and her daughter Audrey while things keep getting crazier.
Elizabeth has kept her distance from Tucker since her husband died, she had blamed Tucker and his dog Otto for what happened.
While he helps keep them safe, these two grow closer. I loved how their relationship grew and how much Tucker and Otto care for Audrey.
Can they work together to find the person after her?
This is another great page turner in the series! Such a great read.

This one has a really great story line, but personally, it was hard to get into, and I blame that only on the third person writing. That's not my favorite writing style. But I digress, cause the plot is there!

Elizabeth, Lizzie, is a widowed single mom to Audrey. While at work one day, the fire alarm goes off, causing the campus to evacuate; once outside in the open, the man next to Lizzie is shot and killed. close enough to cause blood to spatter on her. Word gets to Tucker of the shooting and he races over to Lizzie, knowing he is probably the last person she would want to see.
