HUH??
The plot was there and it was pretty good but the writing was very poor. Everything blurred together. Scenes had no break on them. It was a very whiplash book. Couldn’t really enjoy it. Also some of the terminology used was not used correctly. The dialogue was very boring.

At her brother's wedding, Margo seeks the help of Colton, her brother's best friend and her childhood crush to avoid her ex, and things heat up between the two of them from there. Then her ex steps things up and kidnaps Margo and Colton has to use all his skills to save her, however there are various barriers thrown up between them along the way.
This was an interesting read, with steam, intrigue, twists and turns, it kept me guessing and I had to know how it would turn out.
Part of a wider series, but can be read as a standalone (I had only read one of the other books so far) but I do want to go back and read the others now and learn more about some of the other characters that appear in this book who had a previous book.

Margo has known Colton since childhood when her house was a safe heaven for him and his siblings. Years later he comes back hime for her brother's wedding. Margos ex shows up harassing her so Colton pretends to be her boyfriend. They hook up despite her being off limits. However her ex shows up and kidnaps her. Will Colton save her or does he e wn care? Great story with great characters. Read to find out what happens. This was a new to me author who I will be reading more of.

needs editing and a new synopsis
Based on the synopsis I was not expecting a big part about what the book is about (secret societies). I almost DNF the book. It came up out of nowhere to me as I have not read other books in this series. This books needs editing. The characters will be in one location and then the next sentence they are somewhere else and it’s a different time. There needs to be a page break or spacing or a new chapter to make it flow a lot better. The synopsis needs to be rewritten as well.

I enjoyed Colton and Margo’s story. Margo has been crushing on Colton Stone for years. This gorgeous bad boy is her brother’s best friend and an ex-Navy SEAL. At her brother’s wedding, she begs Colton to pretend to be her boyfriend to throw off her crazy ex. Of course things don’t go as planned… Am voluntarily leaving this review.

Started with a good plot, interesting cult aspect, but such sloppy writing with scenes literally changing from one paragraph to another. Margo and Colt go from one intense scene to the very next paragraph starting with them telling her brother that they are together, many days after he returns from his honeymoon. This is one big bad soap opera.

The original plot was good but it just didn't go well. Scences switched without warning. Should have been proofread. The story I thought I was going to read turns into Alice Wonderland. A protective love story turns into a fantasyland of secret societies.

Maro have known each other for a long time and when her ex shows up at her brother's wedding, she asks Colt to pretend to be with her to show her ex that she has moved on by them kissing. That kiss will light a spark, but will it be enough to get her ex to leave.
