I’ve read Natasha’s books previously but this one takes the cake!!! I adored this book!! It had great world building, to the extent that you can see exactly how it all looks as if it were in front of you! And I love that!! I had a couple of predictions early on (which probably are written in the blurb to be fair, but I went in blind) I was left gobsmacked at the cliffhanger! I didn’t see that coming at all and i definitely have questions!!!
The Last Druid is book one in the Fae Court series. I have enjoyed Natasha's previous books and The Last Druid certainly didn't disappoint. It had enough content to keep me interested and reading until the end. The book is so full of adventure that I couldn't put it down and kept reading until late at night. Also, the cover is so beautiful. Overall, a brilliant novel that I highly recommend to other readers. 💖 The Last Druid is released on 5th July. 💓 Thank you to the author, Natasha Madden for my arc ebook copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
Step into the enchanting Fae realm as Everly Baker, a missing hiker, falls into a world she can only see in her dreams. A foster child who grew up knowing no real home, tormented and with no memory of her young life, starts to find herself in a place that feels so familiar, but how can it be? It is the place we only read about in fairytales.
When Everly finds herself lost and being hunted, a tall, dark, and handsome stranger comes to her rescue and whisks her off to an enchanting castle covered in twisting vines, who turns out to be the soon to be king of the Autumn court.
All I can say is that it is the best of Natasha's books to date. I never wanted it to end, but the best things have to. I honestly could not put it down and have been pushing myself into the early hours just because I can't stop.
The wonderful way she has painted this story really encapsulates how beautiful it really is. You can reach out and feel the flowers or touch the fabric of Everly's dress. You feel like you're a part of it all and there right alongside everyone.
If I had to choose just one favourite character, I honestly couldn't. She has managed to make me fall in love with every one of them, their quirks, their hearts, and even at their bad points, she's found a way to make you love even the worst character.
Now, Maxon is a world of his own. Just imagine Henry cavil playing geralt and then times it by about a hundred, and that's Maxon. He will make you quiver at the knees and wish you could step into Everly's shoes for just one second.
This incredible story will forever be replaying in my head. Filled with all the things you would wish for in a fantasy romance, and then some. Spice, love, heartbreak, suspense, thrills, mystery, and more, you will not be disappointed with this.

⭐️ 3.55 It’s giving Alice in wonderland fell through the rabbit hole vibes… and I LOVED IT 😮💨🤌🤌 thank you to the author for letting me read and review this masterpiece and I’m so happy to be supporting an aussie author 🇦🇺
Back to Alice in Wonderland, miss girl literally just out hiking with her friends and just stumbles on through a portal to the Fae realm. If you see me out in the mountains looking for a portal to the Fae realm… no you don’t
This book was really insta-lovey and extraordinarily fast paced in the ✨romance department✨but I didn’t care, it just worked because this gorgeous book has 💕fated mates💕This was the first time I liked the side characters friendships with the fmc more than the love interest 💀 I could read this book without the romance and still enjoy it
I just love the plot of this book and all monsters and different creatures. All the different twists made this book such a fun read and I was never bored. I was gobbling up the romance 😮💨🤌🤌 this is the first time I’ve liked a couple that aren’t enemies to lovers. Though I did get annoyed at how protective Maxon was at times ✋😔 calm down boy
I was invested in the maybe romance between Zaria and Raiden, it was just too cute 🤭 but the side characters stole my heart. Specifically Kian and Tristan, those two are just 😖 best duo and like Everly said they are perfect grumpy-sunshine combo
The pacing of this book was perfect and it’s such a good book to read if you’re in a slump or want an easy read. And guess what, it’s already released!!! You already know what to do 👆uuhhh👉👉 go get yourself a copy
The side characters are all amazing! I loooove Kian and Raiden. I'm gonna need a book on each of them at some point... even just a novella is fine 🤭 The insta love trope sometimes (most of the time) doesn't work for me, it just never feels right and is usually a bit cringe to read, but I feel like it was done perfectly in this. It felt natural... I don't know, it just worked and I loved it.
I am so excited for the next book!
(Also can we please have Maxon taking her to see a unicorn, I was so looking forward to that scene and we never got it!)
📖✨The Last Druid✨ 🧚🏻♀️Natasha Madden 📚Fae Court Series
✨The Last Druid✨ is the 1st book in a spellbounding new fae romantasy series where you are gonna encounter Faes and pixies and shifters and many other fascinating mythical creatures which you are absolutely gonna fall in love it .
This book had the BEST combination of TROPES which ticked alll my favourite boxes
🧚🏻♀️Dual POV 🦄Sassy FMC 🧚🏻♀️Morally Grey Cinnamon roll MMC (my new book BF😏) 🦄Fated Mates 🧚🏻♀️He falls first 🦄Touch her and ☠️ 🧚🏻♀️ Adorable nicknames 🦄 Found Family 🧚🏻♀️One horse 🦄Hidden/Found powers
So I started the book because , OMG did u see the cover ? It's the PRETTIEST thing ever!!
And once I started, there was no stopping! I devoured the book in 2 days !
Everly, the FMC , is adorable and funny and even though she started as a "damsel in distress" , she undergoes an amazing character development ! She learns how to hold on her own, learn how to wield a sword, works through her fears and anxiety is the most amazing way, all the while remaining the sweet, sassy character who you will fall in love with and won't even realise 🥰
The MMC .. OMG Maxon !! He's the epitome of cinnamon roll morally grey MMC! Gosh I love him!!!! And he has Violet eye eeeeppppp🥰🥰
And their Romance is 🤌🏻
The side characters who ultimately becomes the found family are all wonderful!! I literally love them all!!! Especially the pixie Nix , the cutest albeit a lill scary when she wants to be 😏
I love the world building, the pacing is perfect and there are still a lot of unknown which I can't wait to uncover in the next book.
Thank you soo much ✨Natasha Madden✨ for this amazing opportunity to be in your ARC team 🥹 🫶🏻
I don’t often read too many insta-romance/love kind of fantasies but this one had me melting instantly. I loved the chemistry between the fmc and the mmc, it gave all of the who did this to you and touch her and 💀 kind of vibes.
I also loved the fmc slowly coming into herself after the trauma she’d been forced to endure growing up, and those triggers that continued to be a problem for her didn’t just disappear as she found herself. She was still affected by them and I think, as someone with my own trauma, that helped to connect to her more.
I also have to give a special mention to the side characters in this book. I adored them just as much as I adored the fmc and mmc. The friendships that developed between them and the fmc had my heart melting. I just know that in future books as the plot develops I’ll fall even more in love with them.
The only thing I found a little hard was it was slightly choppy. It was still easy enough to follow the story, but it didn’t flow as nicely as I’d hoped. I definitely wouldn’t list it as a reason to not read, but it was something that stuck with me and is why it’s not a higher rating.
Natasha's books just keep getting better and better! This is definitely my favourite yet.
Everly is out hiking with friends when she suddenly finds herself transported to the world of Faerie and thrust into a life she never could have imagined. Secrets and forgotten memories are slowly revealed as Everly discovers her true destiny. And, of course, the romance between her and the Unseelie Prince, Maxon, is sizzling. They have an instant chemistry, no OTT drama and just a really sweet connection.
This is a very character driven story and I loved that about it. I often get lost with the extensive amount of places and characters in fantasy novels but The Last Druid was a really easy to follow story and I devoured it in 2 nights! Everly, Maxon and all of their friends are such lovable characters and I loved getting to know them all.
The Last Druid is the start of a new series and set in a whole new world, however, the small link to the Finding Sanctuary series (set in the human realm) is there. I can't wait to read more from this fantastic series.
I’m bawling my eyes out. This book felt like a fairytale written for the little girl I used to be—the one who believed in magic and dreamed of being more.
The druid princess is everything I wish I could be in a fantasy world—wild, soft, strong, and full of magic and purpose. Her story filled me up, then shattered me in the most beautiful way.
"I am a powerful druid princess. I won't hide behind walls. I won't use others as a shield. I embrace my true identity."
It’s a strong romantasy with a gorgeous Fae prince (yes, I swooned), but at its heart, it’s about her. About finding her past, uncovering her truth, and claiming her strength.
The ending was heartbreaking, but full of power. I know she’s not done. I know she’s going to rise, and I cannot wait to see her become all that she’s meant to be.
Soft. Stunning. Soul-deep. This one’s staying with me.
I was unsure about this book when I started reading it but after a while something intrigued me and then I was hooked!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶🌶
The book is well written and the storyline is fantastic! I love the characters, their banter is so much fun! The magic system is very interesting too.
The timeline of the book is quite short and the descriptions were lacking a bit mostly with the scenery, I love when an author really sets the scene and this was lacking a bit but the storyline intrigued me so much that I didn't mind.
"He is pure temptation, all wrapped up in sexy. Put a bow on him, and I’d unwrap him in a second."
The spice was spicing! 7 scenes, if you wanted to know. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and that cliffhanger 😮 I need and can't wait for book 2!
This is the first book I have read by this author! I was pleasantly surprised by this book! The story was captivating and intriguing. The world Madden built was so beautifully vivid! The characters were fun and well developed. The book was well written and fast paced.
The relationship between the MCs, Everly and Maxom is 🤌🏻!! And the spice was fantastic!! The side characters were fun and engaging as well. I love the “found family” they created.
This book is full of epic adventures and some intriguing plot twists that I thought I might have figured out, boy was I wrong!! And that cliffhanger…😳😳. I am excited to see where the next book leads us!!
Thank you Natasha Madden for the opportunity to read this ARC!!
I absolutely loved this book! I loved the details, world-building and creativity that Madden implemented throughout to really put you there and give you a unique view in. I love that our fmc is fiery and strong, but is also real with flaws and struggles. I like that our mmc has a touch-her-die vibe with a good dash of jealousy and protection without smothering the fmc and he made me feel a sense of intensity. I really liked the overall character dynamics and relatable situations. Magic, Fae, mythical creatures, royalty, political intrigue, found family and so much more that'll have you turning pages faster and faster. Not an HEA and definitely a cliffhanger - I CAN'T wait for book 2 I'm definitely hooked!!!
This one surprised me. Never let the back of a book fool you or reviews that’s always been my go to, and this book is the reason why.
I absolutely loved every second of this book! Everly’s story sucked me in from page one. The connection between Maxon and Everly and the fact that there is no over the top drama I loved! The side characters are some of my favorites. For me personally side characters are a must! They add so much to story.
The story is fast paced with lots of action, and plot twists. It does end on kicker of a cliffhanger and there are a few trigger warnings that are addressed at the beginning of the book.
I highly recommend this book if you’re looking for something to get you out of a major slump!
The Last Druid is a gorgeous read with all the things I love...an emotionally scarred but fiery FMC, a “touch her and die” MMC, and a world dripping with fae magic and tension. Everly is fierce and easy to root for, and Maxon? Protective, intense, and totally swoon worthy. Their slow burn romance eventually tips into hot & spicy territory that had me flying through the pages.
Even the side characters have stayed with me even after I've closed the book. All kinds of fae and it was a lot of fun to be immersed into this lore & atmosphere.
But that cliffhanger?! Glad the next book is coming out so soon!!
The characters are likeable if a little stereotypical and the sex scenes are off putting. It is difficult to determine if the protagonist is supposed to be strong, as the mating scenes tend to dominate her as a power. Perhaps a desire to excite the audience overcame good balance in characterisation. The plot is not original but the pace and action are compelling. I’m tempted to try book two and wonder how much this author has written. Compared to those I usually read, this seems amateurish and too focused on smut to consider subtly or style. Would enjoy more depth of insight and a more considered approach. Still, if you like fantasy you’ll probably find something to enjoy in this novel.
I have loved every book that I have read by this Author, and this one was Wonderfully Different! This beautifully written story about Everly and Maxon made it a extremely difficult for me to put it down, I was lost in this world and did not want to leave it! I just wanted to stay. Such an enchanting and fantastic world and story. I would love more, I will be waiting at this cliff for more!!! I LOVED IT!!! No Spoilers! I received an ARC and I am Laving this Totally Honest Review because I Choose To and think that this is an Outstanding Magical Story!!!
The Last Druid 4 Stars 3 Spice This is the first book I have read from this author and I loved it! The characters were amazing. I loved our FMC Everly and MMC Maxton. The world building in this book was next level I could literally picture everything I was reading. The plot was great, very fast paced and action filled. The ending... I was not expecting that and now I can't wait for book 2.
I love a book that has a map of the realm, so that got me excited right off the bat. I thoroughly enjoyed the banter, the plot twists, and the intriguing magic system. I could have used a little more world building, but I loved the characters so much that it made up for it. The cliffhanger at the end will have me coming back for more!
I didn't know what to expect from this book, because it was the first book I read from this author. I was intrigued by the druids in the story and I am really happy I got a chance to read this awesome story.
It was well written and it was easy to connect with the characters. I didn't see the ending coming and I'm really looking forward to see what happens next in the story !
This book started off going right into it. I liked the characters and found it interesting the different type of characters/ creatures were part of this story. The connection between the FMC and prince is one that then and you needing more. There is some spice and the writer isn’t shy. I can’t wait to read the next book!
This one took me by surprise. I didn’t really know what to expect going in, apart from what the blurb revealed, but wow! Rich worldbuilding (though nothing too heavy!), wonderful characters, great banter, and an ending that left my jaw hanging.
Perfect read for those like me who love nothing more than a mindblowing cliffhanger!
✔️ Magic System ✔️ He Falls First ✔️ Only One Horse
Omg! What a cliffhanger!!!! What a book! I devoured this story. It was genuinely a breath of fresh air, such a fresh take on all things fae and magical. Incorporating druids into the mix was genius. And the spicy scenes hit the mark ever day time. While I’m sad/mad about that ending. I know it’s not too long till book 2 but I’m going to be dying inside until I can read it! Easy easy 5 stars!
I went into this book with an open mind, I don't normally read fae books. But oh boy have I changed my mind. I couldn't put it down!! I loved this book and my only issue is that I have to wait for the next one! It has left me needing more...
Launch into a world full of intrigue and Fae and magic , where everything is not quite what it seems. Follow Everly as she discovers her true path and fights for her destiny. Natasha builds a vibrant world for you to discover with magic , betrayal , and found family!
She has done it again! I loved this book! I truly admire Natasha's evident willingness to research mythology, culture, and language. By doing this, she weaves stories in a way that honours the source while also being imaginative and creative. The characters in this story are great, and I enjoyed how the book linked to her original series also. I'm looking forward to the next one!
This took me a little bit to get into, but I ended up enjoying the story.
Everly randomly found herself in a new world, and suddenly everything was different. She was in a land of magic, with fae (royalty and other) and many other supernatural beings, discovering some truths about herself along the way.
The main characters were great - I love a sassy FMC, but I'm intrigued by some of the side characters. I hope we learn more about them in the next book.
It ended on a cliffhanger, of course, so I'm excited to see how the story continues.
