Offers an invitation to deepen our prayer life. Written in the Celtic tradition, and illustrated by line drawings, this book provides resources both for personal daily prayer and corporate weekly worship. Designed to stimulate spiritual formation, it includes prayers of confession, adoration, and intercession and thanksgiving.
I have loved David Adam's books since I first came across them through my mother in law, many years ago, but somehow missed this one until I picked it up second hand. This is also a gem and I suppose my only hesitation in giving it 5/5 is the fact that it claims to be an introduction/reintroduction to prayer, using the traditional format of the communion service, but I suspect it would appeal more to officiants such as me looking for liturgical resources. That said some of the insights in the brief introductions to each section are more profound than those in much more substantial tomes on Prayer.
