To everyone, I am the ideal daughter, the perfect student, and the sweet little ballerina, but on the inside, It’s a different story.
Every moment of my life has been carefully curated by my father's strict rules and mile-high expectations. Every bite I took, each assignment I completed, down to what clothes I was allowed to wear. So, when my father shook hands with the head of the most ruthless family in Chicago and agreed for me to marry their heir, Sebastiano, it wasn't exactly a shock.
They say you aren't born bad, but you become bad over time. That person clearly wasn't part of the Morelli Famiglia. Being ruthless is how we earned respect and maintained our position at the top. And I can’t wait to take my place at the head of the Famiglia when my father steps down.
That is until my father adds one final clause before I take the throne as Don Morelli - “Get married or pass the title to Nico”. Marriage sounds like a job I never interviewed for. Give her my last name so she can warm my bed and complain while she spends my money. I’ll pass. Or so I thought.
I am such a sucker for arranged marriage & forced proximity stories. I adored Mia, and her backstory was quite dark yet realistic, especially for an heir and a dancer.
Seb had his share of dark as well, just differently. Yet once he decides to agree to this arranged marriage to please his father and assure his place as the next Don, he is all in for Mia. She is his and takes protecting her very seriously.
But there are rats in the organization, and it's up to Seb to flush them into the light before he can assume his title. But can he keep Mia safe? As he is desperately falling for her?
1st things first the cover to this book is gorgeous. I am a sucker for a Dark romance with the ballerina covers.
Okkk on to the good stuff……. I absolutely loved this book so much that I ate it up in just under 5 hours. I absolutely adore Mia, and as for Bash I love how positively obsessed he is from the Moment he sees her in his club and how he try’s to Deny how he feels.
This is book one and Willows Debut book and let me tell you she HIT.IT.OUT.OF.THE PARK !!! I can’t wait to read book 2
Omg… what a turn of events this was!! I picked this up for the first time yesterday and put it down only to eat and occasionally breathe… I love the plot of this book it was a good balance between the story and spice level to keep it entertaining!! A few scenes in the book got real hot to say the least. I am excited for the next book to come out in June!!
He must marry to get the crown. All she wants to do is dance. When these two collide they bring out the worst in each other which can only lead to an explosion of passion.
But in the world of organized crime everything comes with a price and not everyone is as they seem.
Spicy mafia romance… oh yeah sign me in 😊 plot was interesting, chemistry betweem main character was awesome and I loved dual POV. Can’t wait for another story in the serie.
In this book you meet Mia a ballet dancer and Sebastiano a soon to be mafia leader. This is an arrange marriage story. Mia and Sebastiano are forced into a marriage. This was such a good read. The tension and spice between the main characters is amazing. I love that the main character is a ballerina, I grow up dancing, so I love seeing this. Willow did an amazing job writing this story. If I am correct, this is her debut novel. I will be definitely be reading more books wrote by her. I highly recommend you read this book. It’s available on KU.
Oh Sebastiano Morelli... Let me count the ways on how much I love him and are annoyed by him. I want to throat punch him and then hug him all at the same. I love the way he is protective over Mia, especially in her sleep. Then there's Mia Russo... I wanted to take her away from the get go. I had an instant dislike of her father and stepmother. She was forced to marry Sebastiano to align two families together in the Mafioso. Only Sebastiano doesn't like the thought and Mia isn't too thrilled but does what she is told.
Mia definitely is what Seb needed to wake up and take on his role and his responsibilities. And Seb really has brought the outspoken, more confident side of Mia out. Oh, Bash you aren't weak for showing any sign of emotion toward Mia... you're falling in love. Willow Katz definitely knew what she was doing, teasing us just enough and then denying us the pleasure. But I want to break his phone every time. And the plot twist I didnt see coming. I am hooked and can't wait to read more.
At first glance, Sebastiano is the typical bad boy we all desire…tall, dark, and handsome with tattoos and a don’t give a damn attitude. There were times I despised him, but then every once in a while his touch her and d!e demeanor would shine through showing that he truly cared and would do anything for Mia. Oh and poor Mia…her life was utterly heartbreakingly unfair. The depiction of her mental illness was done so well, too. The spicy scenes were top notch and quite unique: ballet barre scenes-yes, plural🥵 and the restaurant scene😮💨.
"I'm not God, but I can show you how to sin,"
My first true mafia romance and won’t be my last! Actually, went immediately into the next in this series…Deadly Wrath🖤
Loved the spice in this. The story is wonderfully written. Both characters are deep and genuinely relatable.
Despite her delicate look, Mia is not a fragile Ballerina. She carries her scars on the inside as well as the out, which has Sebastiano's trigger finger itching. He's a possessive man who's big on the who-did-this-to-you? trope, and even if she doesn't give names, he knows.
Pushed into an arrangement beyond their control, they agree to keep up the facade until he can claim his title as next Don. But the inevitable proximity soon catches sparks, and a much more profound connection that's well played out.
Brand new Author. This was a great story. At first I did not like Sebastiano AT ALL. He seemed like a spoiled immature a$$hole. Definitely not mafia don material. 🙄 I immediately liked Mia. She lived through some serious trauma. Her father and his wife were horrible people and abusive. I found her quiet strength refreshing. Sebastiano definitely didn’t deserve her. It was a bumpy ride!! This book has all the feels. I will not so patiently wait for the second book in the series. Standalone with no cliffy with an HEA. 4⭐️ 3🌶️
This read was a sinful, seductive thrill ride. The sexual chemistry between Mia and Sebastiano is downright combustible—every moment between them oozed with raw, unfiltered lust. Sebastiano’s possessiveness was so intense and HOT AF! The way he claimed Mia with every look, every touch? Filthy and addictive. This wasn't just spicy... —it was a five-alarm fire that scorched through the pages and I devoured every wicked second.
Mia and Sebastiano She’s a ballerina and her step mum has always been v strict with what she eats and does to ensure she can get the best possible husband. His dad is don and pushes them both into an arranged marriage Seb doesn’t want. Mis has nightmares. Nico is his cousin and becomes friends with her. Things are going wrong in the mafia I.e. missing shipments etc snd Seb is struggling to sort it out. Nice easy read
Secrets, grabs for power and spice! This book has it all.
A marriage neither of them want but it leads to everything they need. This story will make you laugh, gasp and turn pages wildly until you get all of the answers you need.
Cannot wait to see what this author comes up with next!
Hero is a man child, literally a man child!! Unbelievable for a mafia man.
He acted like a teenager in crisis. Partying whole night, Dad must woke him up, gave him ultimatum to behave, testing his Dad patience, turning up at event half drunk and late the event in question was his marriage. This kind of behavior after teens is just pathetic.
I haven’t devoured a book in a long time! It took me two days to read this I couldn’t put it down. I absolutely loved the characters. Seb and Mia are amazing, I loved their growth. I loved the storyline and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
3.5⭐️ This is readable with an easy writing style, the Mafia side isn’t all that unfortunately . The first half of the book Sebastiano is a bit of a Dick but as the book and their relationship progress he becomes less of a Dick. Mia is just a sad wee thing who has a shit home life.
Love Bash and Mias story and cant wait to read more! Love the little bit of mystery thrown in. I liked the little bit of twist to tje MMC where he is the spoiled "princess" and he really had to grow.
Loved it!! I would gladly reread again. I was disturbed with Mia’s upbringing but she finally had a happy ending and found the love she was neglected with Sebastiano Morelli. Expect: Age gap, arranged marriage, forced proximity, a lot of spicy scenes, revenge, violence associated to mafia drama among other warnings. New author I highly recommend.
