When Jackson sets out on an 865-mile run from Richmond to Orlando, he’s not only collecting miles—he’s chasing answers. Why was he spared when so many of his brothers-in-arms didn’t make it home? And what’s he supposed to do with a second chance he never asked for?
Each mile strips away the layers he’s hidden behind, allowing dangerous memories to rise to the surface. His body is breaking down, his mind is unraveling, and the destination feels farther away every day.
At his breaking point, his path crosses with Emily's. Free-spirited and impossible to ignore, she’s not part of his plan—but somehow, she becomes an inseparable part of his journey. With each step they take together, the weight of his pain seems easier to bear. For the first time since his discharge, he’s no longer just existing—he’s truly living and beginning to believe in hope again.
As Jackson pushes closer to his ultimate goal, he begins to uncover the layers of Emily’s hidden past. Suddenly, the finish line he’s been running toward marks the start of something entirely new, changing everything he thought he knew about love, trust, and his future path.
Jackson's story began in A JOURNEY SPARED (book 1) and concludes in A JOURNEY HOME (book 3).
The JOURNEY SERIES trilogy is a heartwarming story about a veteran rising out of darkness after losing almost everything he holds dear. The journey is hard. There will be hardships, pain, heartbreak, and raw emotions. Potential content warning: steamy fade to black romance, coarse language, off-page suicide, PTSD, loss/grief, off-page rape, verbal abuse, and violence (nothing graphic). Despite these warnings, there is plenty of inspiration, hope, sweetness, perseverance, friendships, unbreakable bonds, and unconditional love to balance the scales to a beautiful and inspirational story.
Alexandra Grace started writing emotional poetry as a teenager but publishing a novel that made readers feel was her ultimate dream. It wasn't until her 40s that Alexandra fulfilled that dream, and she had so much fun, her debut novel evolved into a series. She likes to combine her respect for military service men and women with her heartfelt approach to storytelling. All her novels are heartwarming, sweet and steamy stories that give healing veteran heroes the happy ever after they deserve.
Alexandra lives in Virginia with her family and is a proud full-time public servant for a local government. She enjoys reading, binge watching action TV series with her husband, and being her kids' biggest cheerleader.
"Alexandra Grace captures her readers' attention along with their heart through her unique approach to storytelling. Jackson is a true her worth rooting for, an instant book boyfriend...I haven't read a story like this in a long time." ~ Ellison Lane, Author

(Must read 𝘈 𝘑𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘺 𝘚𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 first)
This is a quality hallmark movie style romance- a very differently paced follow up to A Journey Spared. In the first book, Jackson struggled with finding his place in the world as he recovered from a life altering injury. In the second book, Jackson meets a woman and his entire world changes.
Jackson internally struggles between wanting to pursue his dream of honoring veterans by running all the way to Florida and calling it quits to be with a woman who calms his storm- a love he never thought he could have.
There are two strong side characters in this book- Ben and Genevieve, and I’d be interested in seeing their journey 👀. Genevieve is stubborn and insufferable and gorgeous, which is why Ben falls for her immediately. These two added a lot of cute and frustrating banter to the story. I’d love to see more.
This is an emotionally powerful story - and definitely has its cheesy moments. However, there is a very graphic SA scene toward the end- so please be aware of that trigger. It was especially challenging to read. The book ends on a cliffhanger, and there is a lot that needs to be resolved in the third book. Definitely an abrupt ending.
👏🏼 𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙙 to readers who enjoy instant connections, intense love, and can handle heavy subjects such as assault and suicide.
Jackson Vane started his journey to run from Richmond, Virginia all the way to Orlando, Florida in order to commerate his fallen brothers, As well as push through with his recovery and hopefully find a place for himself in this new world of his.
Having served as a Marine for 8 years, leaving immediately after graduation, he was left not knowing how to fit in to an everyday life. Along the way, he has met some beautiful people who have left deep marks on him. But the longer the journey, the more strain it takes on his healing body, the easier it is for the darkness to creep back into his mind.
That is, until meeting Emily. Having given up on the thought of love before leaving, it was a shock to his system when he laid eyes on one of the most beautiful souls he has ever seen and the darkness seemed to settle. He finds peace with her, love and a place he feels he belongs, but can their love last the distance between them?
My thoughts: After reading the first book I could not wait to get started on this one, and boy, did it outdo my expectations. It is beautiful to see Jackson healing from all the emotional, physical and mental pain he was surrounded by in the first book. Emily is such a sweetheart. I love that she is Jackson's comfort. Her best friend, G, is a wild one and I totally adore her and her own rocky path to love. This book made me sob, made me smile, made me gasp. There is a sexual assault trigger in it and I really, really wanna kill someone. BUT, at the end, they all find happiness and strength in each other. I can't wait to conclude Jackson's journey in the next book.
A Journey to love is the second book in Jackson’s amazing recovery after a hard discharge from the war.
While book 2 still centres around Jackson and his run, you get a lot of Emily’s story as well. Emily is a shy control freak who never steps outside her comfort zone. But when her path ultimately becomes intertwined with Jackson’s everything in her life gets tested.
After Ben decided to join Jackson’s adventure in book 1 I knew there would never be a dull moment between the two. Their back-and-forth banter was hilarious and I could not get enough. And we get to know more about Ben as the story goes gone. The banter between Genevieve and Emily was also a highlight for me.
While I did find the beginning of the book to be a little slow, once Emily and Jackson meet the book quickly picks up. I constantly found myself yearning for more Jackson and Emily. With so many POVs and perspectives in the book it did take a little bit to get used to the changing of POV but it added to the story in how you get more than one character's emotions.
The ending rocked me to my core in a twist I never saw coming. I can’t wait to finish the story in book 3.
YALLLLL!!!!! OK so this is the second book that continues Jackson’s journey. I met him a few weeks ago when I read the first book and I was excited to get into this one. I liked that we got to see more of Ben and their hilarious friendship. Speaking of friends: Emily and Genevieve,😭😭 G’s fierceness was a perfect complement to Emily’s calm. Emily’s kind of shy but G is the opposite.
Fun fact: my original review started very differently. But now that I finished the book, I don’t even know what to do with myself. I did not see the end coming😩 I’m so happy that the third book is coming out in less than a month because I cannot!! This one’s definitely darker than the first one👀
A huge thank you to the author sending me this ARC. It does not influence my review
TW: PTSD, violence, SA
𝔽𝕒𝕧𝕠𝕣𝕚𝕥𝕖 𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕖𝕤: ✨She did tend to romanticize think sometimes. OK, a lot of times, so taking a step back should put what she just experience into a more realistic perspective (same bestie🥲🤣) ✨ In all his years in the military, or during arguments with his father, Jackson had never lost control. But for the first time, he could see nothing but his rage ✨ He accepted her and all her imperfections. There were very few people she allowed to see the person she truly was inside. Her shield was strong and concrete. But after everything she put him through, he didn’t give up and continue to show her how much he cared
Okay, but the “calm to his storm” vibe in this book is *chef’s kiss*. Absolutely love. I used the same imagery in my own military romance and I think it’s for good reason these two things go so well together. Life after military service is one clouded by constant storms. To find love after such a difficult chapter is to find a way out of a storm that has the power to be all consuming. Maybe I’m bias, but this series is one of my favorites because I know how it feels to write such characters and—by my unprofessional opinion—Grace has done a BEAUTIFUL job.
She has continued Jackson’s story in the direction of healing, making even more room for love just as beautifully. As with the first on the series, this is by no means a “light read” but it’s real and raw and I can’t imagine it not going as deep as it does. This journey feels so real. A testament to Grace’s story telling ability.
There is some fun banter, likable side characters, and a cliffhanger that leaves you wanting more!
“There are no words to adequately explain how much I love you. You are my reason for breathing, my everything.”
Once again, Alexandra has captivated us with her beautiful storytelling. A Journey to Love continues to follow the story of Jackson Vane – a marine who is struggling after returning home broken, both in body and mind. Searching for answers, Jackson continues to run his 865-mile journey of self-discovery and healing; however, it isn’t long before dark, overwhelming thoughts threaten his ability to go on. That is, until he meets Emily.
In this second book of The Journey Series, Alexandra Grace truly captures what it means to love, and to be loved, as she sweeps us into the sweet, all-consuming romance that ignites between Jackson and Emily. Their journey to love is magnetic and unconditional – a destined, once in a lifetime love that inspires Jackson to finally imagine a future for himself.
With the addition of loveable side characters, who have their own backgrounds and stories to tell, this series is unlike anything we've read before. We’re looking forward to the third book: A Journey Home, to see where Jackson’s story takes us.
This book does come with a warning, as it contains several potential triggers including coarse language, rape, suicide, PTSD, loss and violence.
We received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I really loved this story. It was beautiful and alluring but it had a bit of darkness to it. This book had me in so many different emotions and I was feeling them all. I really love books that bring out emotions in me, that is something that captives me and makes me want to keep reading the story.
Alexandra’s writing has a way of telling a beautiful story that I love to read. I really love the story that this series tell. Reading Jackson’s story was beautiful and amazing to read from a Journey Spared to finding love. I really loved the friendship between Ben and Jackson, their banter was hilarious and fun to read. I loved that their was two different love stories in this book and it was so cute to read them side by side. I loved how different all the characters but it worked so beautifully in the story.
I really enjoyed the different POV’s in this book. I have always loved that and it was enjoyable to read. The love stories are so beautiful and emotional I was enthralled in them. I will say the ending is something that I didn’t see coming and it broke my heart. It was something that I didn’t see coming.
Overall, this book was amazing and I enjoyed it so much. The emotions, the laughter, and the heartbreak are all so enjoyable. I had so many different emotions throughout the book. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
A Journey to Love is available now in Paperback and eBook ⭐️⭐️⭐⭐⭐️ Book Review
Meet the Author: Once in her forties, Alexandra Grace fulfilled a childhood dream of writing a book. She had so much fun, it evolved into a series. She likes to combine her respect for military service men and women with her heartfelt approach to storytelling. All her novels are heartwarming, sweet with heat, stories that give loveable veteran heroes the happy ever after they deserve.
Synopsis: Emily is devoted to her job as a physical therapist. She has had a few men in her life but never anyone solid. What she believed to be a typical day at work turned into an awkward one. After receiving flowers from an unknown source, her ex shows up to her next appointment. Both men believe Emily should choose him. When Emily can’t handle it anymore she plans a get away to the beach with her best friend. No rules apply!
Reader’s Thoughts: A Journey to Love is book number two of the Journey series. This journey was full of inspiration, hope, perseverance, unbreakable bonds, and unconditional love. Emily and Jackson’s story had me invested from the very beginning. Emily reminded me a lot of myself, with her kind heart and devotion to her patients. I was glad to see her stand up for herself when the time came. Although this is a series, book number two could easily be read as a stand alone, however it is nice to know Jackson’s backstory which is told in A Journey Spared. I can’t wait to get my hands on a Journey Home. I'm hoping to read more about Ben. Thank you, @authoralexandragrace and @KatieandBreyPA for providing me with a complimentary review copy. In no way has that influenced my voluntary review.
Potential Trigger Warnings: Open door romance, coarse language, suicide, PTSD, loss, rape, verbal abuse, and violence
Omg! Jackson is one of the best characters I have read about in awhile. In book one we get to know Jackson and his story. In A Journey To Love we get to read about Jackson finding himself on his run from Virginia to Florida. Along his run he meets some people who would turn into life long friends and a girlfriend . I don't want to spoil but the last part was amazing!!! I am waiting patiently (not really) for book 3. I wish I could give this book more stars.
ARC Book Review A Journey To Love - Book 2 The Journey Series A Novel Written By Alexandra Grace Fiction - Drama/Romance Published 2022 437 Pages ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
This is the second book in the author’s series. This is not a standalone book. Each book should be read in order. Book 1 is titled A Journey Spared.
A Journey To Love continues Marine veteran Jackson Vane’s Journey as he runs from Richmond, Virginia to Orlando, Florida. Jackson is dealing with PTSD and survivor’s guilt. His journey to Orlando is his attempt to deal with his issues and to find a reason why his life was spared, but not his friends’ lives. He is also hoping to call attention to the struggles veterans face after they return home. He is helped on his journey by his friend, Ben Stevens. Ben shows much growth from the first book as the story progresses.
The author introduces readers to Emily Robertson, a physical therapist. Emily and Jackson meet in Myrtle Beach. Jackson is having a difficult time progressing on his mission to Orlando. Meeting Emily changes everything for both Jackson and Emily.
After reading the first book, I was eager to read the second book. Like the first book, this book is very well written. The author deals with these delicate issues with compassion. I am very eager to read the third and final installment to see how Jackson’s journey concludes. I am rooting for Jackson and Emily to find a happily ever after in A Journey Home!
“No doubt there would be unconditional love, children, adventure, and undeniable passion in his future. All things he didn’t have when he started his journey and couldn’t without Emily.” “Wherever the journey took him from there, he was ready to complete the mission for Emily, for Will, for himself.”
Thank you at @authoralexandragrace and @katieandbreypa for the opportunity to be on this book tour (Instagram)!
This is the second book in The Journey series (check out my review for A Journey Spared on IG or my blog-see link in bio), & I was so excited to continue on Jackson’s journey with him. I have to say, once again, Alexandra Grace delivered!
She uses beautiful language to help you feel like you are actually in some of the settings, & she had me on the edge of my seat, particularly at the end.
Some differences between this book versus the first is that there is a lot more romance & suspense. The first book focused on Jackson’s recovery upon returning home from a military tour, but this one continues to follow him on his 865-mile journey where Ben, his trusty sidekick, has more of a role. We also meet Emily & Genevieve who become very important people in Jackson & Ben’s lives.
The underlying theme is the kindness Jackson shows as he continues to meet people who really need help. Sometimes a small act of kindness snowballs & completely changes a person’s life. This continues to happen on his run but in a very real way.
I love how Grace writes her dialogue between the characters because I feel like I’m there with them & not even reading a story, but hearing & seeing the characters together.
I just love this character she has created with Jackson. Throughout the story, you will see acts of kindness, strength, bravery, & courage. I can’t wait to see what happens in the third & final book of the series! For a full synopsis, swipe left!
This is the second book in the Journey Series and it did not disappoint. While I loved the first book, this one picks up with the love interest in Emily, which I didn't know I craved so badly. I absolutely love Alexandra Grace's writing style and her ability to write from multiple characters' perspectives. It helped me follow each of the characters more closely, which I know was probably no easy feat. As far as characters go, Jackson is as swoon-worthy as ever. Emily is the perfect flawed female who shows growth. Ben and Genevieve bring in the laughs. And the ending, wow! I can't wait to read book three.
I was so happy to see where Jackson’s journey was taking him. He finally found what he was missing which is Love. I found this book focused a bit more on Emily but did not mind it at all. I feel like we really learned a lot about her and her character and the story was a good transition into the last “chapter” of the the series. I fell in love with the new characters, Ben had the best development and growth in this book and I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out some of the intrigue before we got the answers. I love how Jackson’s story moved from falling in love with life again to now falling in love but questioning his mission and goal and I cannot wait to see what will come out of the last piece of the story.
‘A Journey to Love’ is Book 2 of Jackson’s journey to find his purpose in life. And I’m having the best time of my life witnessing his beautiful and amazing story. These books are not standalone, and you need to read in order to have a marvelous experience.
Jackson is already on the road to Orlando and as he goes he meets all kinds of people, getting to know them, sharing their lives, dreams, and sufferings with him, and he always has something good to say or do for that person, having them forever in his life. On Myrtle beach, he meets Emily, and it’s love at first sight. Emily is a physical therapist, and she’s being harassed at work. Ben travels with Jackson. He’s some sort of assistant and photographer, documenting Jackson’s journey, and also falls in love with Genevieve, Emily’s best friend. Together, the four of them go through situations they never thought one day would come their way and a lot happen to them.
What I love most about this trio is the 3rd person omniscient POV. You get to know their feelings and thoughts without scene breaks, and it thrilled me. I felt so close to them, immersing myself in all the characters’ heads as the story went on.
Jackson and Emily’s chemistry is perfect. Sweet and spicy. They complete each other, and Emily becomes his strength. I love them, but the person who stole the scene for me is Ben. He started as a second character, the unwanted Jackson’s companion for the trip, and he grew so much that I consider him one of the main characters. After he meets Genevieve, he blossoms, and I had so much fun with their banter. Genevieve has suffered a lot in life, and she built a cinder block wall around herself, but Ben gets the wall down brick by brick.
The story is not always a bed of roses. There are heart wrenching moments where your anxiety escalates a few notches, sad moments where you think: why God, Why? You cry and feel for them, and want to be there to hug them and say that all will be okay. But you’ll also laugh, be happy, and hopeful for a new tomorrow. You won’t regret giving Jackson’s story a try!
A Journey to Love is the second in the Journey series. I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves a story about finding purpose and meaning in life and for anyone who loves a good romance. You can read as a stand-alone, but I highly recommend reading Book 1.
Jackson Vane is a Marine, recently discharged because of injuries he suffered during an explosion on one of his tours. Feeling lost, still suffering from the physical and emotional effects of his injury and losses, Jackson sets out on a journey. He is going to run from his hometown, Richmond, to Orlando hoping to find his purpose and honour those he lost. As he gets into his journey, he finds it difficult to carry on. At a stop in Myrtle Beach,Jackson meets Emily, and his whole world changes. He's falling in love, and that love provides him strength to carry on. But, Emily is dealing with some difficulties of her own, difficulties which will put her in danger.
Jackson's journey is so beautiful. Jackson is looking to honour veterans and find some purpose in his life. But it seems that purpose is in front of him, he just cannot recognize it. Jackson's journey is being documented on social media. I love one particular part in the book where Jackson takes some time to actually read the comments on his posts and sees how his picture with a homeless veteran led to the veteran's family finding him and being able to bring him home.
I love Jackson's character. He is thoughtful, humble, caring, and hard-working. His romance with Emily is so beautiful and quite a bit steamy. I love Emily's character and her story. She, like Jackson, is also thoughtful, caring, and hard-working.What she suffers through at work is horrible and unfortunately still all too real for so many.
I am really looking forward to reading more of Jackson's journey in Book 3. Thank you to @katieandbreypa and @authoralexandragrace for the opportunity to read this book. I was provided an ebook, but I absolutely had to have this series for my bookshelf.
Thank you Alexandra for letting me beta read this re release of a journey to love and I have to say THIS. IS. AMAZING.
I loved it so so much and let me tell you it was a journey to love indeed, Jackson’s journey so far is just incredible and his and Emily’s relationship is just the cutest. I love the way Alexandra writes and how she know only gave Jackson and Emily’s pov but gave us a glimpse into Genevieve’s and bens pov and their story as well, I also like how you could really feel the emotions each character was feeling and that helped to feel really into the book and the charters story.
The plot twist 🤯
I am addicted to this series and can’t wait for book 3 and to see if Genevieve and Ben have their own book, all I can say is this is one of the best book series I’ve read in a while x
Beautiful. Just beautiful 🩷
Jackson's story began in A JOURNEY SPARED (book 1) and concludes in A JOURNEY HOME (book 3).
The JOURNEY SERIES as a whole is a heartwarming contemporary romance about a veteran rising out of darkness after losing almost everything he holds dear. The journey is hard. There will be hardships, pain, heartbreak, and raw emotions (content warning: open door romance, coarse language, casual drinking, suicide of a loved one, sick parent, loss of a parent, PTSD, loss/grief, rape, verbal abuse, and violence). Nothing is graphic, and there is plenty of inspiration, hope, sweetness, perseverance, friendships, unbreakable bonds, and unconditional love to overcome anything.
TW: On page violent sexual assault, rape, sexual harassment, PTSD
This is the second book in the Journey Series, or Jackson's Story.
We pick up where we left off with Jackson's story. He's trying to find purpose and honor his friends.
Emily becomes another person that Jackson meets along the way, but she's different. So far the others we have met have made an impact and he stays in touch with them, but with Emily, she's around physically more than the others.
Emily makes Jackson feel things he didn't know were possible. The trouble is the distance between them and how Jackson's journey will impact what they have.
This is a perfect companion to the first book. I love that we are continuing on Jackson's journey and he's meeting people along the way that will have a lasting impact on his life. I also love that we get to learn about Emily in a way that doesn't take away from the fact that this series is about Jackson.
This is an amazing book about love, loss, healing, and making it through tough times.
I look forward to finishing Jackson's story with the next book.
Thank you to the author and @katieandbreypa for the chance to read and review this book.
Listen up y’all I really didn’t think was possible to like a second book more than I did the first but with this series so far that is the case !!! Book 2 was so amazing the story unfolding between everyone and how they are becoming a family is so awesome to read. I legit couldn’t put this book down. I was in their world I was legit with them every step of the way!!! I related with this book so so much. As a survivor of sexual assault myself I feel what G is going through and I love love that she has someone as supportive as Ben by her side. I hope he can help her to get her spark back!!!
I can’t wait to continue reading this series!!! I cried I laughed I got mad I had every damn emotion while reading this second book. And now that I’m done I’m sad !!!
Y’all go read this series hurry I promise you won’t regret !!!
Thank you Alexandra Grace for the opportunity to read this second book!! Truly I loved every min of it and you are truly so talented and really should have started this career long before your 40s!!!
I really enjoyed this book just as much as the first book of this series. You don't get as much of the struggle that Jackson goes through like you did in the first book, but you still see how he is trying to cope with everything that he has been through as well as him trying to keep the promise that he made to himself and his family. I loved how he ends up finding love on his journey to finding himself. It just touches your heart. As a veteran, it can be hard to reconnect with the civilian world and make relationships outside the military. The heartbreaking situation that happens towards of the book will devastate you to the core, but you also get to see that side of how a found family is and how strong connections are within this group. I thought that Alexandra did a beautiful job with how she explained this as well as such an amazing job with this series so far and I cannot wait to see what is going to happen in book three.
The story is a good romantic one between two couples. Having read the first one in the series I found this one concentrated more on the romantic side rather than the struggles Jackson Vane had in the first book. However the romance did serve to drive Jackson to continue his quest. A new romantic duo emerges which admittedly was more interesting for me. As usual the character descriptions are very believable and the dialogues sometimes humorous enrich the stories.
Alexandra continues to provide Jackson with a voice and a chance for his own journey to be shared! In this novel Jackson continues on his healing journey and meets Emily who helps him to see things differently and to see that he does not have to struggle alone. This novel has more romance within it than the first novel however still provides Jackson the chance to tell his less than idealistic life events, and coping with what’s occurred around him. Anyone who likes and or enjoys military lifestyle and romance should explore this series!
Reading Jackson’s journey and him meeting Emily was beautiful. True love always wins. Seeing jackson and bens friendship grow was beautiful. Reading Bens and G’s relationship grow was beautiful. The heartache for what happened to G and Emily hurts but shows what strong women they’re.
The second book to this series was just as good as the first! I did love the journey for Jackson and how he handled situations on his journey. I loved the relationship between Jackson and Emily, even if it’s super fast. The heart wrenching things that happen in this book certainly hurt, but it is starting to be put back together. I’m sure book 3 will bring it all back home!
“A Journey to Love” is Book Two in The Journey Series by Alexandra Grace
📘Picking up where Book One left off, Jackson and his misfit sidekick Ben are making their way down the east coast en route to Orlando, Jackson running the distance and Ben finding thrills along the way.
🏃🏽We first meet little Callie and her heart-breaking situation. 🏃🏽Next we switch gears and meet Emily, a physical therapist in need of some time off and distance from a suffocating colleague. 🏃🏽Myrtle Beach is where Emily and her outgoing bestie Genevieve’s story intersects with Jackson and Ben as they are all taking a few days away from reality and running to enjoy the touristy seaside town.
💪🏼Emily is a flawed female main character who you want to root for as she works through the trials she faces imperfectly.
🖤The open-door bedroom scenes are approached with a careful and tasteful narrative. Sweet and sensual, with just the right amount of details described mindfully, adding to the romance instead of dirtying the text with smutty descriptions. 🙌🏼 Bravo @authoralexandragrace
📘Every character is carefully crafted and always memorable and unique. Grace’s writing style will draw you into Jackson’s world and leave you waiting for the next book!
Was so happy to see Jackson's story continue in this second installment to the series. An emotional and satisfying read. Jackson and Emily are great characters on their own and even better together. Would highly recommend and look forward to seeing where things go from here!
This is truly an emotional read. I love the insta-love for Jackson, and that he is head over heels for her immediately. There is a lot to unpack in this book, but I love that Emily is as all in with Jackson as he is with her. Also worth noting… the side characters are stepping up!
Wow! Never expected this story to go the way it did. I couldn't put it down. I love how we get all points of view. That is one of my favorite things about this series. On to the next one!
A Journey To Love by Alexandra Grace Book 2 of 3 of The Journey Series
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
A Journey To Love is Book 2 of 3 of the journey series by Alexandra Grace and continues to tell Jackson Vane's story of his 865 mile (on foot!) Adventure in effort to pay tribute to his fallen friends & veterans in need.
On the way, Jackson unexpectedly finds love at first sight after meeting Emily at a bar at Myrtle Beach, SC.
This story switches back & forth from Emily & Jackson's POV. We get to see how fate brought them together after Emily decides to go on an impromptu vacation to escape from a toxic coworker.
A side story that I really enjoyed were how Jackson's travel companion and Emily's best friend's relationship develops alongside Emily & Jackson's.
I also loved the justice served to who had it coming to them at the end. (Not spoiling 😉)
Synopsis:
Sometimes running will only take you so far.
