Two short adventure The Longest Walk and Muddy Trout.
In The Longest Walk, Bill is camping out with his best friend Larry, who gets seriously ill with food poisoning. Later Larry is injured in an auto accident. Bill walks all night and half the following day to get help - more than 50 kilometers. Along the way, Bill has to deal with cold, thirst, hunger, and all the problems one can encounter in the Chihuahuan Desert of Southern New Mexico. Based on a true episode.
In Muddy Trout, Bill, with his Uncle Sal, on a fishing trip to the Gila Wilderness, is caught in a tremendous downpour. His uncle gets washed into the lake and Bill must try to save him. But Bill cannot enter the water ever since he failed to rescue his father in a boating accident two years ago. His father drowned and Bill still feels all the guilt for that.
