A CIA agent, in over her head, joins forces with a former agent to solve a heinous crime in this clever mystery where the ethics of vigilante justice are tried and tested with deadly consequences.

No-nonsense CIA agent Emily Jenkins is tasked with convincing ex-CIA agent Sam McKay, who is inconspicuously living the good life on the Florida coast, to rejoin the agency. However, her mission is derailed after a teenager is murdered and the unknown suspect remains at large.

Now Agent Jenkins, alongside McKay, and his highly skilled associates, must hunt for a possible serial killer before he or she strikes again. With each city they scour and every faulty assumption that leads to a dead end, solving the crime seems increasingly impossible. But when the truth is uncovered, one thing’s for Emily’s future will never be the same.

This suspenseful thriller that travels the Gulf Coast takes readers on a gritty ride where right and wrong become blurred—and everyone must choose a side.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I met the author at a book signing on 30A and he promised that if I loved spies, mystery, murder, and the beach, this book was for me. As someone who grew up going down to 30A, it was so fun having that be the main setting and recognizing all of my favorite local spots! The book was fast paced and, although a tad unbelievable, captivating. I caught some grammar mistakes but that’s just me being nitpicky. Overall, a great read and I’d definitely recommend!

A MUST READ---Cover to Cover!!!

I can’t say enough good things about this book! I was fixated on each character and every nuance from the first page to the last and now I’m left wanting more. I was mesmerized by the quiet confidence with which protagonist, Sam McKay, dives headlong into the seedy underworld of hardened criminals, exposes their atrocities, and lays down his own form of justice upon their heads. Sam is incredibly smart with a working knowledge of everything technical and psychological, but still quite down to earth with an almost boyish charm; he oozes sex appeal but remains unattainable. He’s vengeful but heroic. He is confident but humble. Sam is the epitome of what we all want and what we all want to be, the perfect character.

"No Cover" by Dee Walker is an adrenaline-fueled thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. CIA agent Emily Jenkins is a force to be reckoned with, tasked with luring the enigmatic ex-agent Sam McKay out of retirement. Their mission quickly escalates into a high-stakes game of cat and mouse when a brutal murder sends them chasing shadows across the Gulf Coast.

Walker masterfully blurs the lines between right and wrong, forcing readers to question the ethics of vigilante justice with every twist and turn. The dynamic between Jenkins and McKay crackles with tension and camaraderie as they delve deeper into the investigation, revealing layers of deception and unexpected alliances.

Each chapter unfolds like a gripping episode of a top-tier crime drama, where every clue matters, and every character harbors a secret. As the truth comes to light, the stakes become higher and more personal for Jenkins, leading to a finale that will leave you breathless.

"No Cover" is a must-read for anyone who loves a clever, pulse-pounding mystery with characters that leap off the page. Dee Walker has crafted a suspenseful masterpiece where the thrill of the chase is matched only by the depth of its moral quandaries.

The plot was good, and definitely kept me interested. The imagery and language was just a bit too graphic for me:/
