Grace is super devoted to her faith but really struggling with loving herself the way God does. On the flip side, there's Jeremiah. He's having a hard time letting go of his anger after finding out that his dad is not the man he thought he was. So, one day Grace and Jeremiah bump into each other at a grocery store, and bam, it's love at first sight. The kicker? They’re not supposed to even talk to each other! Now they're caught up in this secret love affair, trying to figure out how to be together without letting their families find out. It's a wild ride as they both navigate their personal struggles and their growing romance.
Let’s start with the positives: Christian author Christian themed romance Biblically based with scripture All things I love
That being said… I feel like this was… forced maybe is the word I’m looking for? I feel like every single sentence sounded almost like a Christian self-help book— Not that it’s ever not a good time to talk about Jesus, but some places it just felt so forced.
Now let’s talk about Grace. She was definitely relatable. I have struggled with my weight and confidence and self worth and my faith, so that aspect of the story was really relatable. But she became so obnoxious. Continuing to carry on about not wanting to get hurt while in turn hurting Jeremiah.
This was such a back and forth that I kind of gave up on them and started routing for him to find someone else.
I was just bored and was forcing myself to finish. The grammatical errors and repeated sentences were the nail in the coffin for me. I did finish the book. The story was a cute idea, the execution just wasn’t my thing.
I don’t know if I want to finish the next book to find out what happens- I almost just want to pretend there’s a better ending for him.
I would be open to trying more of her books though, maybe it was just this one that wasn’t for me.
DNF Grace was immature and it felt like the author wanted us to agree and see things from Graces perspective I get she is insecure but she acts like she can’t make decisions for herself and thinks people can dictate who she can be friends with.
Overall pretty good but it reads like a journal/self help book not a true romance book. Great scriptures....the AI voice did not help but I will read the next one.
WHAT A READ!!! This book was so beautifully written and kept me on the edge of my seat with the emotional rollercoaster that it sent me on. Grace’s character was so relatable and down to Earth. A believer struggling with insecurities meets a reformed player in your typical grocery store meet cute fashion. Unbeknownst to them, they would soon be forbidden to explore their connection due to the quickly blooming connection that is simultaneously taking place between the people closest to them. Forced to be friends but longing to be more, Grace and Jeremiah explore a secret flirtationship situation(might I add that the banter had me giggling and blushing). Rain came and the winds blew but would their relationship be strong enough to withstand the storms of confusion, misunderstandings, and heartache?
I loved it at first, and then I wanted to jump into the book. Yeah!! That bout sums it up perfectly. Amazing storyline, amazing characters. Please proceed with caution for your heart may break because of Grace😑. I love Jeremiah though

I related so much to Grace’s character. This book was so interesting from the use of scripture, to the drama, to the emotional rollercoaster. I am definitely reading the 2nd book !
I'll be present for every new book this author puts out!
This was a emotional rollercoaster and I mean that in the best way! If it was possible to fall for fictional characters, Jeremiah would make that list. I love and respect how patient he was with Grace. He genuinely care about how she was feeling and didn't use and abuse her as someone would have expected considering his past. I also loved how their faith in God was the bones of this story and they trusted in his Will rather than their own.
