Only read manwha so far.

So far, the stories interesting, like others manwha we have trashy ml also love strong fl. It's left with cliffhanger at the end of season 1 as we finally got 2nd ml has finally arrived.

Sometimes authors use evil or vicious characters to make commentary on the system that empowers them. Otherwise violence and depravity can be used to ground narratives or exploited for audience engagement. Personally I could not find any of those ideals in this work. It is just one of those strange romances where a healthier choice is presented to the female lead and yet they chose the one who has been awful to her over and over again instead. Shoe shiner Adele agrees to pretend to be an estranged sister to Caesar Bonaparte so he can get rid of an unwanted fiancée. She thinks warmth, food, and protection for a few months is better than her current circumstances. However even the etiquette teachers and servants provided by Caesar are malicious and scheming and when she finally starts making a connection to Ezra as ordered she is punished. Betrayed and exposed she leaves town but still ends up entrapped by the male lead. Ugh.

I'll be honest these stars are for the art and the art only. I hate borderline incest storylines so much like I get it she was the "fake" sister but still its so annoying to read. The whole premise of this is that Adelaide is Cesare's "sister" and she needs to be married off since he doesn't want to be, it had be rolling my eyes through every panel of the manhwa. Cesare was just an asshole who has a thing for Adelaide because she's defiant and likely the only woman not swooning over him, oh, plus she's playing his sister. He needs to be knocked down some stairs. I have to add this to my reading challenge since it feels like I had years taken off my life for reading it.

Read the manhwa and i like it so far. Well, Cesare is a meh for real person, but he's just exist between pages so it's kinda okay? I like the fml and it's worth to read just to see her adventure.
