After a strange virus makes its way around the globe causing its victims to commit suicide, a group of Tokyo teenagers, who survived the outbreak, search for answers as to why they are still alive.
Kawashima made his professional debut with Daughter Maker, which ran in Kōdansha's Monthly Shōnen Magazine Zōkan Great. Kawashima succumbed to liver cancer on June 15, 2010 and died at the age of 41.
Oh look more shitty comrades. One on our mc's side or well she is at least not with the baddies. And another guy who just murders people for talking to him ( that poor girl). I am one. The story is interesting put Mc and yuta are fun, but everyone else is just horrendous. Oh and that reporter go away. 🤮
I have no clue how I did this, but I completely skipped volume three, and went straight to volume four. I just realized it when I got to the last chapter of this volume, and at this point, it’s too late to turn back, so I’m just moving forward.
The other reason I’m just moving on is because my library doesn’t have any more volumes last four, so my time with this story has likely come to an end. Which is a bit disappointing as I was really enjoying it. It does move slowly to get where it’s going, but it just introduced a couple of really cool and interesting character in this fourth volume. Because of that, it never feels slowly paced.
It has gone off from where I expected it to go in the first volume, but not in a bad way. It’s much more supernatural and powered-based than I expected it to be, but well written. I really just love the characters as we get to know more about them.
Since this is a relatively difficult series to find new, and my library doesn’t have any additional volumes, this will probably be it for me and my time with Alive. Though nothing has been wrapped up, I still enjoyed what I read.
Lebih seru dan menegangkan dari volume sebelumnya! Suka! 😆
But still, masih nggak pengin dan nggak mau nge-ship siapa-siapa. Karena kebanyakan scifi yang aku baca/tonton malah jadi "ranjau"-nya romance. If you know what I mean. 😂
This series is hot! I have found myself to become totally engrossed in each book as I read them. The books are excellently written and drawn and I absolutely love the concept. I have no idea where it is going to go, which is perfectly fine by me. Keep me guessing and surprised.
I like the addition of Nami to the group and hope that she will soon come to trust both Taisuke and Yuta, as that would help their relationship.
As for Gou, even his name is ugly. He is an overweight, pimple-faced, repulsive fellow who has no qualms about killing anybody that he sees as being stronger than him. Obviously, his low self-esteem hasn't helped matters, but I find him to be quite disgusting, like most of Katsumata's Gang.
What I really enjoyed was when Taisuke finally used his powers to defend himself from Nami when they were fighting at the beginning of the book. Since Taisuke used heat and Nami uses cold, his his powers offset hers. They make a good team.
Overall, Alive: The Final Evolution: Volume 4 is another excellent addition to a series that is quickly becoming one of my favorite to read. I look forward with great anticipation to Alive: The Final Evolution: Volume 5. Boy, oh boy. I cannot wait!
It's been forever since I've read the previous volume but it didn't take me long to remember the story. There are some new interesting characters in this volume and I can't wait to read the next volume.
