Lynne Graham was born on July 30, 1956 of Irish-Scottish parentage. She has livedin Northern Ireland all her life. She grew up in a seaside village with herbrother. She learnt to read at the age of 3, and haven't stopped since then.
Lynne first met her husband when she was 14. At 15, she wrote her firstbook, but it was rejected everywhere. Lynne married after she completed adegree at Edinburgh University. She started writing again when she was athome with her first child. It took several attempts before she sold herfirst book in 1987 and the delight of seeing that first book for sale in thelocal newsagents has never been forgotten. Now, there are over 10 million ofher books in print worldwide.
Lynne always wanted a large family and has five children. Her eldest and heronly natural child is 19 and currently at university. Her other fourchildren, who are every bit as dear to her heart, are adopted. She has two9-year-olds adopted from Sri Lanka and a 5- and a 3-year-old adopted fromGuatemala. In Lynne's home, there is a rich and diverse cultural mix, whichadds a whole extra dimension of interest and discovery to family life. Thefamily lives in a country house surrounded by a woodland garden, which iswonderfully private. The family has two pets. Thomas, a very large andaffectionate black cat, bosses the dog and hunts rabbits. The dog is Daisy,an adorable but not very bright white West Highland terrier, who loves beingchased by the cat. At night, dog and cat sleep together in front of thekitchen stove. Lynne loves gardening, cooking, collects everything from oldtoys to rock specimens and is crazy about every aspect of Christmas.
Terrible title for a terrific romance, with a feisty, veterinarian FMC
Jace Diamandis is a 28-year-old Greek billionaire, who initially became rich through inheritance, but has since greatly expanded the family fortune. He and the FMC, 23-year-old Gigi, meet when he arrives at her home to collect his dog. Gigi had rescued his adorable Irish wolfhound, Mo, who had gotten off his leash and was in danger of being run over in the street in front of her house. Gigi is a half-British, half-Greek veterinarian who works at a local animal shelter in a small, oceanside village in Greece.
I really enjoyed this novel. Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down, staying up far past my bedtime to gobble it down. Gigi is an unusual LG FMC in that she is the highly intelligent, illegitimate daughter of a genius, professor mother. Gigi completed an advanced degree at the same age that most LG FMCs have barely graduated from secondary school.
Jace bears very little resemblance to the harsh, alpha MMCs that LG wrote for the first half of her 35-year tenure with Harlequin Presents, but that doesn't bother me at all. I definitely enjoyed the first phase of her career, but I have also been greatly enjoying her non-abrasive MMCs of the past 15-20 years.
After skimming through multiple disappointing romances this week, it was a huge relief to me to read a novel by LG. She knows exactly how to meet all the expectations of devoted fans of the genre, without employing any binge drinking, foul language, or excessive crude sex for its own sake. All of her sex scenes are consistently both emotionally and sensually enthralling, which always serves to promote the romance. I'm not personally into BDSM, no matter how lite a version it is, and I, thankfully, don't ever have to worry about LG sticking that into her stories to supposedly keep romance readers from getting bored with sex scenes. For me it is just the opposite.
There's currently no audiobook available for this novel, which is surprising, because for the past several years Harlequin has been releasing an audiobook for every novel that LG writes. Surprisingly, as well, the ebook version is not available through Hoopla. Harlequin does not offer their books through Kindle Unlimited, but the $4.99 that I spent for this novel was well worth it.
There is a second book in this series starring the half-brother of the MMC of this novel, Greek's One-Night Babies-- with triplets! (LG loves multiple births!)

I think the book started off cute with the way Jace and Gigi met. However, the more I read, the more frustrated I became. Gigi was a frustrating character and there were times I wanted to quit the book because of her. I can understand her wanting to maintain her independence but she was acting too immature. Jace sure had a lot of patience to put up with her. I think the book could have been better if not for her attitude.
This is a very good book. The h is a veterinary doctor, she helps the H’s dog who was lost. When the H finds his dog, he is blown away by the h. He is immediately attracted to her. The h is unimpressed by the H, which hurts his feelings. They both suffered rejection in their childhoods so they were wary about relationships. The plot and characters were very well written and developed. The unexpected pregnancy added a nice twist. Great epilogue.
Cute is the word for this story. But it did show that 2 people with similar uncaring backgrounds can come together and make a very happy marriage and parenthood.
"Greek's Shotgun Wedding" is the story of Gigi and Jace.
Playboy billionaire and a vet meet when the hero's dog escapes and is rescued by the heroine. He is immediately intrigued, and soon convinces her into going on a date with him. As their meeting is publicized, they give into their passions, something that has fertile consequences..
Actually feel good romance with loads of rescued pets, a bit of miscommunication and drama and a nice epilogue. Enjoyed it.
It's been a while since I read one of Lynne Graham's books, and I think it didn't fascinated me the way her books use to do it. Gigi is the most exasperating character I've ever read in my life; defined by her mother's bad romantic experiences, she made Jace suffer A LOT. I loved Jace because, even though he had his fair share of struggles in his life, he's determined to be a better person. A nice book, yes, buy it could be better.
This is the best Book I have ever read By Lynn graham. I didn't think she could write anything this good. I actually couldn't put the book down. Most of her books Disappoint me this was a very good surprise.
I enjoyed reading about Jace and Gigi love story. Their journey to finding true love was wonderful. I couldn't put the book down , I would definitely recommend this book to family and friends.
I love stories that have angst, miscommunication and a little misunderstanding that keep you on your toes and waiting for the moment they discover their love for each other!
