"I will be honest here. I borrowed this book from my fellow delegate and read it during my downtime at the three-day summit abroad I attended last week. As I finished it within 2.5 non-consecutive hours, my read was between skimming and comprehensive re-reading.
After completing this, I would say the book delivers an earthly, fresh perspective on leadership that is genuine, considering the author's background. Besides, it contains some non-generic takes and insights, which is refreshing.
On the other side, I feel like this book is missing something that prevents it from standing out among some of the best leadership books I have ever read. However, this flaw does not cause my experience to be one dreadful bookworm marathon."
This is quite an interesting look into leadership, for who would have thought to compare or liken leadership to soil? It's from this unique point of view that I believe that this book would be a great read for anyone exploring what it means to lead. Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.
