A gunshot outside Cora Albright's Sprinter van catapults her into the protective custody of the Havlin Motorcycle Club and a sexy older biker on her first night in Seaglass Cove. When Wire invites Cora to move her van behind the clubhouse, where she'll be safe, she leans on him while she searches for her long-lost brother. A brother she's never met.
Wire, suspecting Cora might possess crucial information about the threats facing the club, keeps her within arm's reach, which is too close when Cora's a beautiful, young, curvy woman with enough confidence to get her into trouble.
He's lived a hard life—and he's a sucker for a woman's plump softness. To his surprise, Cora doesn't scare easily and comes to him with open arms.
Alone and grieving her parents, Cora finds comfort and security with Wire, making it impossible to think of leaving him at the end of the tourist season. But she must find her missing brother.
Wire won't let her go—not even when the biggest threat to Cora's happiness is heading her way.

4 stars. Good book. It tripped me up a couple times because the author is weirdly formal in some places, and the dialogue was a bit detached in others in a way that made it a bit difficult to pinpoint who was speaking sometimes. Plus. The word ✨vagina✨ will just never be sexy to me.😂 She could have used literally anything else, but she didn’t and it made me do a double take every time. 🤷🏻♀️ Still an enjoyable read, if not anticlimactic with the plot line that just sort of fizzled out.
2.5 stars. Unfortunately. I couldn’t really get into this one. I mostly skimmed from 34% on. Cora had zero personality and I have no idea why Wire, at 48, finally decided that Cora at 21! was the woman for him.
Cora’s life was unrealistic. She’s a 21 year old, plus sized woman (we hear about that a lot) whose parents both died in an accident on the way to a cruise. They leave her enough money to live comfortably for the rest of her life. She was raised in Los Angeles, her dad was an attorney and her mom was a professor at USC, yet Cora never considered going to college. Ok… She only worked for her dad, filing and general office stuff, after he retired from his firm. Her dad was 80 and her mom 66 when they died, so age gaps seem to be normal for her. But 27yrs? That’s just creepy. Also, what 21 year old would drive around random towns up and down the pacific coast hoping to find her long lost brother by showing his picture from 25 years ago to randos? Meanwhile she’s paying a housekeeper to look after her parents house but doesn’t think to maybe use the internet or a PI to find her brother?
The plot felt artificial, forced and was completely uninteresting. The threat from Los Li just petered out and yeah, sadly, I’m finding this series is just going downhill.
Wire and Cora. Havalin MC. I had to give it three stars because I found a plot issue that had me looking for pages missed. The tension about the cartel moving into their little quaint nest of a town builds the whole story but when the club goes to the meeting with the cartel and threats are made, the cartel just up and leaves? Not a shot fired, not retribution for shooting and threatening Cora? Also, there was never any real threat made against Cora, no tries on her life, no almost kidnapping. No one blew up her little sprinter van. What is with the bad guys? It was way too much about finding Cora's brother and less about an MC or really, even their romance. Also, there was a lack of emotion between the to main characters, as if they were together for convivence. I liked the first two better.
Wire + Cora I can say I loved both of these characters from beginning to end. My heart went out to Cora who with no family left is out in the world looking for her long lost brother. Her situation brings her to a small coastal town where she meets Wire and the Havlin MC. Wire! What a man! He's older, sexy as sin and OTT protective. The spark between these two was instant and the relationship had quite an effortless vibe. They are definitely opposites attract but they just fit. The journey was a page turner. A little action, steam, mc drama and mystery when it came to Cora's brother. I'm definitely intrigued by Jagger and look forward to his story. Looking forward to Book 4.
I enjoyed this story. I have heard of this author but I don’t believe I have ever read one of her books. I will so correct that when I read more of her stories.
This is about a 21 yr old who lost her parents to an automobile accident and she then sets out to find her much older brother whom she has never met. Along the way she helps a Havlin motorcycle MC brother when he is shot and then is under their protection until they find who injured the brother. Naturally there is an attraction that turns into an HEA. Really a very good story with characters I want to read more about. Enjoy this one, I know I did!
This is book three of the Havlin MC series. Each book features a member of the MC and a younger woman. These stories revolve around the age gap - MC trope. This book features Cora, a young woman searching for her older brother, who she never had a chance to meet. Jeff Albright, Cora’s brother, took off from home and made his own way. Jeff and Cora’s parents recently died in an accident and she struggles with that but also being alone. Somehow Cora ends up in Seaglass Cove and also helps Rush a MC member which brought Wire to help. Cora and Wire shared a spark and their relationship begins there . . . . Read On!
Book three in the Havlin Motorcycle Club series. After her parents death Cora is on a mission to find her brother. When she finds a man shot outside her van. She calls his friends to come and get him. They club ask her if she wants to park her van on their property to be safe. She starts working for a bakery that the club owns. That’s where she meets wire a brother much older than her. The president ask him to look out for her. They don’t trust her. When things change with both and feeling come to light. Decision are made on both side.
Fantastic addition to the series. I absolutely loved Wire and Cora’s story ❤️❤️❤️ so much weight put on her shoulders. Left alone and searching for her brother. Wire was the perfect man for her. A definite page turner, thoroughly entertaining. Sounds like Jagger has a story to tell, wonder what he’s special date will tell us about him? 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎
Hmmmm...I suspect a story for Jagged in the future. Wire and Cora were good characters for a good story. This author writes the best MC series and always has a well rounded storyline! What I especially like is how all the books meld together and we get to visit familiar and much loved characters.
I'm going to assume that there will be a bit of a story arc in future books concerning the cartel... The only thing I didn't like was how often her "plus size" was mentioned. Was really invested in the story with her and Ruger and I'm glad K showed up. Wire was our typical protective biker, but not as manipulative as previous characters.
Cora is alone when she witnesses a crime against one of the Havlin brothers; she is asked to call for help. Wire questions whether she is involved or not. He soon finds out that she isn't, and his romance with her starts. The main characters from the rest of the series are in this book also. This is an age gap mc romance, with biker drama and secrets.
I love this series. The characters and the storyline is interesting without being over the top. That said the main plot fizzled a little. They told the bad guys to back off and they did. End of Cora and wire are perfect for each other despite the age gap.
Cora is on the hunt to,find her missing brother she never knew. While staying overnight she witness and member of Havlicek being shot. This changes her entire summer plans and she ends up meeting Wire who turns her world upside down .
Heroine annoying and in lala land in with her zero personality and hero was well…just ok …no angst and sadly not for me 🤷♀️ Im all for consenting adults but if I read one more book where MC have gynmourous age gaps…gah! Heroine (21) hero (48) - at least the hero didn’t sound stupid
Well written novels with great characters. Was kind of a surprise that much age gap between Wire and Cora. But it worked for them and I'm happy. The club has some drama along with Cora and her family enjoy the read.
Never a disappointment from Debra Kayn! I love how she weaves her stories into one another so that you can expect who will be the highlight of the next book! I have to confess I love a good age gap, and Ms. Kayn seems to be perfect at it!!!
The age gap was a little too much as was Cora's inability to mature over her parents and her brother. The parents weren't amazing since they left her to raise herself. Her immaturity was frustrating.
So many bad things happened to Cora on May 11, she considered that day cursed. I'm glad some good things came from that day, mainly Wire. He found her and he never let her go.
Is a day she will always remember. A day of grief, birth and meeting the club. As she hunts for her brother and finds love with Wire. Maybe May11 will be lucky this year .
I read a lot of MC books. These guys are the weakest MC ever. They do nothing. and the big bad in this book. The Mexican cartel leave town because this weak ass MC says so.
